Why would anyone care to play this. If you build a deck around it, you need to be prepared to not have enough space, if you have 2 double randoms.
Even best case, which is al akir turn 6 it will not remotely win you the game, plenty of removal answers. Realisticly everyone will continue to keep the shaman's side of the board clear and you'll have a vanilla 5/5 90%+ of the time.
OK, serious time. I often manage to get all 4 totems, and I've always wanted to be able to use Polymerization to fuse them into Totemtron, Defender of the Universe! But there hasn't been any way to do it. Until now. While it's not Totemtron. Al'Akir the Windlord is still a pretty good summon. I'll need to look more at the revealed Shaman cards to see how this goes.
I can see someone trying to use Auctionmaster Beardo in a combo for this card, or just playing the other Totem cards alongside this. And I can still see something positive with this card despite the lacking viability of the other Totem cards: simply the fact that your opponent doesn't usually go through the trouble of killing Totems that randomly pop up on the board could, in some situations, end up getting you a free Al'Akir and surprise the hell out of your opponent. The only thing is, some of those Totems are likely to die because of breaking through Taunt totems, the people who kill Spell Damage totems out of fear that some empowered spell will damage them and just the people who ping off 1/1 totems with their hero power for the heck of it. In addition, the shaky RNG of the new card that gives your minions Deathrattle: Summon a random Totem might make the combo hard to pull off. To be honest, I don't really know. We'll just have to see what comes of all this.
The one good thing about this card is that it is just an epic instead of some crappy quest legendary. Every day and new card reveal, Evolve Shaman is getting worse. It's time to face facts. Shaman is riding bitch for this expansion!

I like this card so much for the flavor, the art and the fun factor. But, I don't believe it'll see much competitive play.
I was thinking a combo with Brann Bronzebeard, but then realized that you would not have space on board :(
This is just stupid, try again.

Occasionally gives helpful advice.
You have two totems up. Hermit, hero power, this, attack twice with Al Akir, then evolve.
Not even Totemtron, Defender of the Universe?!
Shit card. 0/10. Not enough meems.

Well, that's not realistically happening consistently enough on turn 5, and even if it does, Al'Akir is not really good enough anymore.
it's an elemental

Doesn't sound wrong
But they already announced it. It's for Elemental shaman
EXODIA SHAMAN POSSIBILITY?
I would use Primal Fusion right after summoning Al'Akir the Windlord to get a nice attack and health boost before the charge.
A 7/9 minion with Divine Shield, Taunt, Windfury, and Charge would be quite nasty.
Justicar Trueheart
More useless shaman cards... Really Blizzard, REALLY!?
Love the effect but it's far harder to set up than one would think.
