Pretty good 1 of tech card in certain meta. Then again, most decks use spells, can certainly interrupt on curve spell plays. Not as crippling as Loatheb. Loatheb shut down the ability to cast even low cost spells if played on curve. Nerubian Unraveler would see more play if it were 5 mana. We'll see this card tried out, but ultimately it's a little slow for constructed. It'll fade in and out of decks...if at all.
Worthless if killed by minions or weapons, decent if your opponent has to use spell removal on it, excellent for delaying combos. Overall I think it has just a little too poor stats, especially since it's a control card that also affects you.
To the guys saying this makes Pyroblast unplayable: only if didn't pop out of a Primordial Glyph, or if opponent doesn't have double Sorcerer's Apprentice on board (which can still happen even if they lost / didn't draw one, because of Molten Reflection). A bit niche cases maybe, but not so unlikely.
pls guys use one time brain its a 6 mana 5/5 so very bad stats for its mana cost i mean extremely bad and the text is also not very convincing u all forget that also your spells cost more mana. loatheb cost 5 mana and the enemys spells cost 5 more the next turn so it really shuts down the next turn of your opponent loatheb is 100 times better then this card.

this card played against: - mage - mage dont care - shamman - shammy dont care - forced discard warlock archetype that dont even work - dont care, neither would zoo nor handlock - priest - dont care? idk
- jade druid and kinda miracle rogue care a little ?
Sooo hate card that offends wrong targets at best? I wonder if it will be decent tech against jade druids, it might be kinda nice then
Fare enough statements. Why would mage shaman and priest not care though? Just saying so isn't all that convincing. Seems to me that preventing a pyro or double fireball is pretty good. Even if a mage is on 9 mana and Firelands Portals this guy it still prevent him from dropping a arcanologist the same turn. He makes dealing with him (outside of just trading into him) expensive and that is something.
Shaman doesn't seem all the different to me. If he is on board then the combo of drop dopple gangster evolve costs 9 mana instead of seven, forcing him to deal with it now or wait two turns. If he deals with it now it's more expensive to do so with spells and he gets less minions on board because of it. If he trades, well, fine then he has less minions on board and that is good thing.
Priest, stalling out a Lyra turn is also fantastic, unless he want to drop 10 mana to just drop Lyra then Shadow Word Death, but even that can greatly reduce the chance of a devastating Lyra turn.
Jade, well this is obvious. This thing has to be dealt with before he can go off on a crazy Auctioneer turn, the application against miracle rogue is also obvious.
With Sylvanas and the Emperor I don't care if they die before my next turn because most of the time I will get value from their ability. My opponent can remove this fairly easily with a weapon or some favorable trades and be completely unaffected by the ability.

Sylvanas isn't 5/5 if you count the stats of the stolen minion and Thaurissan isn't 6 mana if you include the discounts.
We are not talking about effects here, we are talking about body stats. Effects are all different and are usable in different situations. Sylvanas or Thaurissan won't save you from lethal for example, this card might, just like Loatheb. And Loatheb is simply a 5/5 for 5 isn't it? That's why it's considered one of the strongest neutral legendaries in this game?

You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.
seems like a good card even if it's ends being unplayable it's a good design.
MAGES GET BTFO
Come visit my Card Emporium. Strange things, you will find inside...
Come take the test, if you're daring. Feel free to show me your results in a message.
You play 6-mana 5/5 and giggle because I'm playing Mage.
I play 6-mana Fireball. "Next!"

Would be an excellent card for 5 mana. For 6 ehhhh it seems more like a tech card and pretty situational

Well that's a fair trade for both players (not taking into account the state of the board).

It's a playable arena card, but too slow, weak, might screw yourself on ladder.
Loatheb is good, because it only effect the enemy spell and by 5. which mean no powerful broad clears on the following turn.
never lucky

IYeah. My handbuff paladin only runs 2 copies of Smuggler's Run, plus Ivory Knight, Elise the Trailblazer and Hydrologist for spells.
If this has say an 8/8 body against rogue you shut them down so hard.
I actually think the card is ok, not meta defining or something that will stop a low cost spell deck. But, I think Loatheb doesn't like it to much.
Card is pretty interesting, might be too expensive but has some potential.
Good news for this card, it can now pull a 4 mana 5-6!
... that wipes your whole board.
