oh god, murloc time is coming, can it be better than jades/elementals?
Completely different archetype. They're marketing Murlocs as a spammable, refillable type of aggro, which I think is pretty cool. You kill them by the bucketful and they just keep coming.
Ever fought against someone playing a murloc deck who drew well? Trust me, strong murlocs are more annoying than strong pirates, they fill up boards faster than zoolock, and then they drop their warleaders resulting in a quick death. I reckon a murloc meta would be even faster than a pirate meta.
Pretty good, will have to see the quality of the rest of the murlocs added, as of right now the only super good ones are this guy, finja, bluegill and warleader, the rest are fairly low impact (though one could argue both of the seers can have an impact.)
First of all, Xaril has no prerequisite, second you get two spells which are guaranteed to be playable, not one minion which could easily die to AoE without doing anything. Third, a 3/2 murloc for 2 mana is also bad. Murlocs need to stick on the board to activate synergies.

Elementals will be midrange.
Jade is control.
obviously... but can they pull their weight? find out on next episode of dragon ball z...

Oh my. God forbid a minion might possibly die to AoE one day. Why does anyone even bother to play the things?
You're wrong about it being bad, but I doubt you'll see that. It's a good card insofar as Murloc decks will be viable, which is a different question.
By itself in a vacuum the card seems good, but it doesn't really fit the (current) murloc archetype. It's a slow, mid-range'y/control card when murloc decks are usually fast and aggro. You play this on turn 3 you usually are giving up board control to the opponent's 3 drop, and murloc decks suck without board control. You play this later in the game, the game is probably over one way or the other.
Would be a great card in most other tribes, but doesn't fit the murloc deck type. Also, if shaman murloc becomes a thing, then that quest will constitute all the murloc drawing you need, and this card probably won't see play.

I don't know man it's almost like murlocs are very vulnerable to AoE and cheap clear like Maelstrom Portal everywhere destroys their viability. What do I know, I only main murloc Paladin.

murloc paladin has nothing in common with the swarm style murloc decks, pretty dumb comment there

There's more than one kind of murloc paladin deck friend and if your answer to that is "not a viable one" well yes, I did just say that.
Then you should understand that a Murloc which replaces itself is valuable against AoE...
I do not think that word means what you think it means. Harvest Golem replaces itself. You mentioned Xaril, a better comparison is Rat Pack. This is a card that replaces itself. With no prerequisite it puts multiple beasts directly on the board equal to OR GREATER than the total stat value of the original minion. Everyone said that it was going to be completely broken and make Hunter insane. And yet? A 3 mana minion with 2 HP is not good enough.

They both replace themselves in different ways. People generally refer to cards like Harvest Golem as "sticky" minions.
Rat Pack is also an excellent card. The problem is that the hunter class as a whole sucks.
This card would actually be decent if it was ''Holding a Murloc'' but having to control one on the board really brings this card down....It's rather bad unless some more good Murlocs are coming.
Also Gorillabot saw almost no play and there is way more higher quality Mechs than Murlocs. So it's a worse Gorillabot.

Too slow for a murloc deck, they need to maintain board control at all times.
Fuck cubelock

It's good. And it's also a murloc, unlike the dragon version.

Keep calm and use your hero power
See, now THIS is what will make playing murlocs actually not feel bad and all-in. This is the kind of cantrip that murloc decks needed.
Hearthstone is a game of "copy and pasting"

Oh look, its not Shattered Sun Cleric.
Zooloc now has a new meaning (Zoo Murloc Shaman)
RedneckBudha
Great card.
