Seems really good with Defile 1 health tokens to start it off. You can trade with rush before to set up a chain, or wait until after to clear a 1/3.

Obsidian Statue is proof that rarity in Hearthstone is an absolute fucking joke. No card is "epic" in a game where you can just make whatever you want anytime you want.

Who fucking thought Obsidian Statue was a good idea. Fucking ridiculously overpowered piece of stupid garbage. I don't even mean overpowered in the sense of being unbalanced, I mean there's too many fucking powers printed on the front of the card. The icons overlap. It looks fucking stupid. It looks like the worst idea that anyone ever had making homebrew Hearthstone cards. "But it costs so much mana" Fuck you it costs mana, it doesn't cost any mana, they gave Priests a fuckload of cards to make it appear early. FUCKING DOGSHIT RNG HORSEFUCKING STATUE.

You swarm the board with early Murlocs, drop this on 3...

Oh, I get it, you've never played a murloc deck. Nevermind.

Murloc paladin has nothing in common with the swarm style murloc decks, pretty dumb comment there

There's more than one kind of murloc paladin deck friend and if your answer to that is "not a viable one" well yes, I did just say that.

Then you should understand that a Murloc which replaces itself is valuable against AoE...

I do not think that word means what you think it means. Harvest Golem replaces itself. You mentioned Xaril, a better comparison is Rat Pack. This is a card that replaces itself. With no prerequisite it puts multiple beasts directly on the board equal to OR GREATER than the total stat value of the original minion. Everyone said that it was going to be completely broken and make Hunter insane. And yet? A 3 mana minion with 2 HP is not good enough.

First of all, Xaril has no prerequisite, second you get two spells which are guaranteed to be playable, not one minion which could easily die to AoE without doing anything. Third, a 3/2 murloc for 2 mana is also bad. Murlocs need to stick on the board to activate synergies.

Oh my.  God forbid a minion might possibly die to AoE one day.  Why does anyone even bother to play the things?
I don't know man it's almost like murlocs are very vulnerable to AoE and cheap clear like Maelstrom Portal everywhere destroys their viability. What do I know, I only main murloc Paladin.

posted a message on New Shaman Quest - Unite the Murlocs

Completing this quest while maintaining board control is extremely difficult. In a world where people are running double Maelstrom Portal I just don't see how this can be competitive.

The 3 mana slot is very problematic for murlocs.  Having murlocs in your hand is ok, but having them on the board is better. A 3 drop with 2 HP is just not good enough.

posted a message on Is Princess Huhuran worth keeping?

One day I got it into my head that I had to make a Princess Huhuran Hunter deck. I knew it was bad, but I had to do it. 9 times out of 10 she is a 6/5 with like... two 1/1s. Like a sad and flaccid Dr. Boom. You'll never get to use her ability on Sylvanas Windrunner. You'll never get to use it on a Savannah Highmane. Or any other deathrattle that costs more than 4 mana.

posted a message on No such thing as cancer decks

There are two problems that work in parallel. Power and perception. Blizzard recently made a statement that Shaman decks were too popular, but that they weren't particularly overpowered. There are also three different types of Shaman deck that all seem similar because of their congruent early game. This leads to two different types of compounded perception problems that are unhealthy for the game, even though the decks in question are "fine".

This is obviously a flaw in the game design.

The other problem is power. In this case simply another annoying flavor of aggro which has cropped up under nearly every single expansion, because Hearthstone is designed to be an aggro game. The main problem is that in an aggro vs aggro matchup, the faster aggro deck wins. Which means that aggro decks are quickly solved to be as fast as possible UNLESS there is a metagame check on one element or another to that acceleration process.

For example, some aggro decks are good against heals, but others are good against taunts. It's difficult to handle both and still accelerate. So if you have a metagame that features decks with both taunts and heals, you get a diverse set of aggro decks that are very good against one or the other, or slow down into midrange decks. Having midrange decks in the meta changes the calculus of both aggro and control and you end up with a diverse and satisfying metagame. Obviously, right now this isn't happening.

Which is obviously a design flaw in the game.

For a guy who's claiming that the matchmaking in Brawl "punishes good players" this dude is clearly salty about how much he's losing Brawl. I think the MMR is not as high as he thinks it is.

You know if the metagame is populated with hate decks a very strong deck is going to be very bad on the ladder, right?
