For me this card is broken for a detail, he is a dragon itself, if don't the mechanic will balance the card, cards can receive bonus for have a dragon in hand don't should be dragons itself, this broken the conditional and make this strategic too strong and easy.
Cards that have a strong battlecry, deathrattle, or active effect should have lower than average stats for their mana cost. Otherwise they are just broken. See Dr. Boom.
Drakonid Operative has a crazy strong battlecry AND premium stats. Not only is discovering a card much better than getting a random card, but you also get to see 3 cards in the opponent's deck.
Yes, the battlecry is conditional, but in a Dragon deck it is pretty darn easy to have a dragon in hand, especially now with Netherspite. And even if you are forced to play it without a dragon in hand, it is still a 5/6.
It is totally busted - I love the effect and am glad they are coming up with new mechanics, but it should be a 4/5.
It's an exceptionally strong card, but without it priest would be nothing.
But yes, it is ruinous to other classes attempting value decks except jades.
Meta is varied and it is still fun to play, but it is very squeezed in between a select few cards (patches, jade idol, drakonid operative). Not that those cards will necessarily be in the best decks, but they will completely define what can and can't be good.
So it seems like it will be a good year for renolock.
Is the card oppressive? Is the class oppressive? Are multiple classes represented on ladder? Does it still lose to Freeze Mage and Miracle Rogue? Stop being so salty and appreciate that the class is actually playable.

Priest would still be good without it. It's a single card in Reno Priest, which I would say is more widely represented on ladder than the pure dragon build. Yes, Renolock will almost always beat it, but Priest can have burst as well, if build that way. Right now, with a predominantly aggressive meta, Reno Priest will have to be built a certain way. In the future, when people finally see how good of a deck Renolock is, other control decks will work towards strategies to counter it.
i got rank 5 past month with Dragon Priest, and now with adding of Drakonid Operative i don't really see any difference. 5 mana 5\6 is actually pretty slow in YARRR-meta. yeah, it's kinda nice, that you can discover burst from renolock's deck. this is turning the depressing match-up from unwinnable to favorable to renolock.
i actually think that better target to whine is Kabal Talonpriest, because he does very significant job for priest - moves away important creatures from opponents spells and AoEs with decent body on 3 mana too. now Operative is only a strong card. and with the rotation who knows, maybe dragon priest becomes a total junk, and Drakonid Operative will be our second Ethereal Peddler in terms of stats+battlecry.
A 1/1 with charge for 0 mana that you don't even have to draw.
STFU, seriously.
Nah, it's fine because Pirate Warrior was a weak deck before, so they deserve strong cards.
Yeah and Dragon Priest was so strong before. Priest as a whole has been garbage for a long time, while warrior has always had at least one great archetype and usually several (since WoTG). So priest deserves 'strong' cards more.
tbt it should be a 4/5 at least.... Its like hey we both are playing insane decks, but you get to discover something insane from my deck that plays 2 of each insane minion instead of any random hearthstone card in the universe AND have enough dmg to trade into my next 8 minions. 10/10 would get tirion drakonid'd for the 15th time in a row.

Wouldn't be so bad if Priest didn't have all of the removal too.

Classic Blizzard. Nice job balancing your game Brode.

Achieved Gold Priest- April 2017
Yeah the card is ridiculous. Like Entomb makes the value game one sided.
After the next standard year things will brighten up.

Legend x1: 27th season - N'Zoth Rogue only.
Stop crying, smh. Hearthstone fans are annoying as hell, something always needs nerfing.
it's honestly fine, very good but in no way broken. Patches is the only card one should even consider nerfing atm, and I'd still say just leave it.
This card has the original mechanic of Mind Vision , but Discover from the opponent's deck.
Azure Drake is not the card to compare to honestly. They're both 5 mana dragons, that's about it.
1. Discovering a card and drawing a card are different weights.
2. Azure Drake has limited stats because it's neutral. If it was a class card it'd probably be a 5/5.
3. Priest's needed strong cards.
4. The card is actually quite fine. I enjoy playing with it and have no problem playing against it.

Do you not realize
That a 7/7 with 4 mana cost exists
