HS is simplistic and repetitive. It’s also twice the RNG. That being said, it’s OK. Not everyone wants to play a game that’s more complex and involved. It’s nice to turn your brain off every once in a while.
The handful of people I knew that play spend their money on MTG Arena now...myself included. I have no doubt less people play now...doesn’t mean they’re shutting it down.
I like MTG more due to the lack of RNG. I just hate that it’s not Mac supported right now.
Except there is RNG in MTG, and it has a far greater impact on the gameplay than in Hearthstone.
In MTG, the cards themselves may not have as many random effects, but the RNG inherent in the shuffle is amplified a great deal, both by the size of the deck and by that game's mana system.
Yes, i'm aware that there are many ways to fix your mana, but that's really just a band-aid on a system that is fundamentally flawed. And even with all the fixes in the world you will still get games that are decided more by mana flood or mana screw than by skill.
In Hearthstone, the RNG effects are bounded. Even when something is random, you know what to expect within given parameters, and you can plan for the worst. In MTG, the limits of a bad shuffle are much, much broader, and you are utterly powerless to play around a bad mana situation. It literally makes it impossible to play the game.
In short, I would much rather be ganked by a Knife Juggler than told by my own deck that I won't be allowed to play.
LOL. There is RNG in any card game, but HS is way worse in every aspect. Mana screwed:flood sucks, but not as bad as RNG summons and other high rolls. The RNG in HS negates a lot of skill.
It seems to be summoning bombs that had been put in my deck, and not bombs that were currently in my deck. This seems to go against the card text. Anyone else notice this?
Actually the opposite for me. Nothing wrong with this expansion per se, but I recently started playing MTG Arena, and love it. I’m tired of the constant RNG and will spend money on the new MtG Expansion instead. I find it’s more skill based.
I really wish that this was a Warrior card. That class could definitely use some powerful anti-combo ability but it is the start of a HS year so there is some hope. As for the card itself, I like it. It makes Big Paladin a reality in addition to taking out a combo piece in the process. Well played, Blizzard.
*votes Very Good*
Warrior will get plenty of Hecklebots from assembly and Boom.
This is a whole new level of too much time on your hands. Lengthy reviews are more than ok, but this is a terrible attempt. The majority of cards are rated one star...even when you say more good than bad. Pretty obvious what classes you don’t like or understand.

Do you guys know any sites like Hearthpwn for MTGA? Not just deck listings but also forums and a community.
MTG Goldfiah is the closest I’ve found

This bothers me not because it’s viewed as offensive, but because it’s just not funny. Do better.

Sounds like you’re really sensitive. He gave you you gold.

Seems like it would be pretty good against every deck but odd warrior. I’m 5-0 against it with my Odd Dragon Warrior.

Priest and Mojomaster take him out rather easily. I do agree it’s OP though...it’s single handily kept Hunter relevant.

There are many differences between Sulthraze and Foolsbane. Sulthraze is way better.

Nope. I think there are some solid cards that will see play until they rotate out.
