So I've been thinking about the absolute lack of experimentation going on with Shaman. I think the Spellstone is very, very easy to pull off along with overloading/discounting the Snowfury Giants. So in less than 5 minutes, I built a deck and took it to ladder while at work, at rank 5, and beat 3 tempo mages in a row, jade druid and tempo rogue.
This deck has REAL potential. Not this particular one, but more so the idea/archetype behind this ''template''. Feel free to use this thread to include your suggestions for this archetype. Let's work together. You can take this template with a grain of salt as the sample size is 5 games.
I played with Guild Recruiter as well and pulling the faceless is insane. But it can also pull either a mana tide or defender, so it's not AS reliable as I wish it would be.

Actually I would be playing the deck right now, the same type of one that Thijs was also experimenting with that Gunnolf has already mentioned, but I am already committed to crafting another 1-2 meme decks atm, so sadly my dust is tied up atm.
My thought process is that this deck is so easily built around the spellstone and you can play with certain flex spots and include specific tech cards. I'm not sure what exactly you're implying. I might be reading too much into it as I'm tired due to my night shift :D.
If you are implying I'm saying I created this archetype, I never said that. I just said NO ONE is experimenting with it on ladder and I made this deck in under 5 minutes. I have not looked at any other giants shammy decks as I like building my decks and the fact they are too similar, just goes to show how easy it is to build around the spellstone and the overload mechanic.
It's a good archetype no doubt but the vast majority of the playerbase is avoiding shaman like the plague cause it's the 'worst class' according to the meta report ZzZzZzZz

Um, maybe because you didn't put N'Zoth in a deck you categorized as a N'Zoth deck?
I played a similar deck, but it has no early game to speak of. The overload outweighs the control you get from the spells and you get steam-rolled by token druid and call to arms Palladin

Oh, alrighty haha. Yeah. there's that too. Once the reports are out, a lot of the decks will cement themselves into certain tiers (meh) but I believe experimentation will continue for sure. Hopefully more people realize the potential of the archetype and start refining their visions for it, as I really miss playing against more controlish shamans.
Um, maybe because you didn't put N'Zoth in a deck you titled N'Zoth Shammy?
Cut him some slack ~ he's tired from the night shift. We all make mistakes :3

Oh really? That was a mistake, not sure what happened. I'll edit it. I don't completely agree on getting steam-rolled by druid. Paladin is tough though. We'll see what comes out after some more refinement.
I played this a bit... I fount it very depressing. Droping 4 8/8s just seems irrelevant against the other control decks. The worst was against a quest mage, who got my Greater Sapphire Spellstone with a mana bind, and used it on his apprentice and just won the next turn. The deck just feels weaker than everything else to me.
oh look some pro used those deck!!lets not try them out for fun. Pathethic players everywhere. Beside this is an awesome site,i really wish there wasnt a way to netdeck.so people that suck at building decks would suck even in game, not that they win just because they use already tweaked decks builded from others. Thumbs up for sharing your idea op :)

The new expansion has been out for over a week. Experimentation is officially over now. Shaman didn't make the cut and the meta has already settled.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience :D. Sounds painful. I think you need to play around with it a bit more and see how you can improve it. Don't worry. It will get refined over time. Ironically, shaman has all the tools right now. They really do. They can tempo out big bodies, they have very good aoe, they have a decent amount of draw. It's all about tinkering with it, I believe. I'm not saying those are ALL the key ingredients, I'm just saying they have most of what is needed to make the cut.

I literally have no idea what you're talking about. 90% of the games I play are in wild, and 100% of the decks that I play are my own original creations. I'm just trying to say that you shouldn't rely on anybody else to help contribute to original thought and deckbuilding, especially not on a site that was specifically made for netdecking.
Hearthpwn is indeed an awesome site for discussion for all things Hearthstone, but I hope you realize that this site is also one of the biggest offenders as to why all of your ladder games are full of boring and stale netdecks.

Hey all F2P players out there! Try out my 100% free deck before trying to call this game pay to win!!!
Fun deck, nothing much to refine really. Wins the occasional game but isn't even close to competitive. Sadly Shaman is pretty irrelevant lately. The reason it seems like no one is experimenting with Giant Shaman is because they already have and it didn't make the cut. I'd like to seem some cool new ideas though but it seems pretty limited.
Haha I appreciate the sympathy. I really want the deck to work. At first I tried something with more spells, and Arcane Giant as well as the Snowfury Giant, but I think the Drakkari Defender and Flamewreathed Faceless make this version better. Just feels outclassed and had me frustrated. I will try play around with it more at some point. I hope you have more success than I did!

Sadly, Thijs has already streamed several games of him playing the deck. I suspect though that people just don't want to craft Snowfury Giants :3
Oh, he also runs 2 Reincarnates! :3

I really like working with Snowfury Giant, Lesser Sapphire Spellstone, Ancestral Spirit and Spirit Echo. Unfortunately, it's hard to get combos going without the reductions you can get from Emperor Thaurissan, the huge clears from Elemental Destruction, the draw from Ancestral Knowledge and the recovery from Lava Shock which are all in wild. I've had some good success with it so far and it's a fun way to beat your opponents.
