Hunter happens, before the nerfs rogue keep all hunter decks in check, now the class was completely destroyed by the nerfs hunter is free to hunting down everything else.

Rogue is still tier 2, hardly completely destroyed. So tired of people spreading their ignorance when they haven't stopped to assess the situation honestly. Separates the real players from the followers and pretenders, who don't understand the evolution of the game, instead spouting buzzwords and catch-phrases. Anyone who has declared Rogue dead were never attempting for accuracy, nullifying said opinion.

I prefer call Hiperbolic language, when you use the exagerating to make a point.

And you think I'm rude? 😂
Seriously dude, it's always been like this. If you don't like opinions don't ask for them? That was hillanders take on why things have changed, not just for Khadgar Mage but for plenty of other decks as well.
Sorry to burst your bubble mate, but opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one and some of them stink more than others. That doesn't mean that they are wrong though. 🤔
The obvious aggro boom happened when rogue got nerfed. Mech decks are getting buffed today and that’s most likely going to make it even harder on mage.

Rogue might be solid tier 2 but since he doesn't dominate the meta anymore the argument is still valid
I used this one to climb to rank 5 this season. It usually takes me a week, but this deck had a very high winrate.

I was a big fan of the old Big Spell Mage so I like the flavour of this deck :)
I actually ran Lifedrinker over Twilight Drakes for the majority though, because of all the Aggro, but similarly to Sunreaver Warmage it is also face-damage.
I remember having like a 58-60% win rate with it first 3 weeks of the expansion. Now I'm down to like 40-45%. What happened?
I'm talking about the big variant, conjure's caling mountain giants together with Khadgar for 4 huge giants, often becoming the 7/8 with taunt.
Rogues were nerfed. No rogues means warrior's main prey is out. Which means no control warrior. No control warrior means your mage now has less good matchups
Meanwhile, cyclone mage is the new best deck. It's basically a better version of the book of specters giant mage and weak/strong to the same stuff. People will naturally want to counter the best deck. Your mage is now facing a lot of bad matchups

I personally believe that Cyclone Mage is very overrated. The one that is more controlling with doomsayer and frost nova is the best version imo
Because if hunter and cheap removal such as spider bomb and the veno card. Hunter has way too much single target removal.
3 magnetic dr destroy a minion still makes me lol, the other card that do are 5 cost and 9 cost and attached to a defensive class. Complete stupid shit. A machine having poison is pretty silly and makes more sense for rogue to have if anyone, not braindead hunter. The ability to play both defense and offense simultaneously is what makes crap like bomb warrior and braindead mech hunter so fucking stupid

It doesn't matter if Cyclone mage is actually good or not. As long as players think it's good and play it on ladder a lot, more players are going to play decks that counter it

People have better learnt to play and tech against the deck and you need to pilot the deck better would be my best guess :)

4/3/19 RIP Keith Flint. 😔
Mana Cyclone Mage is now refined and it's basically a better version of that deck with the ability to high roll out unfavorable match ups.

Basically they came up with a really cool concept for summon mage but then decided they would make shaman do it better...
