Hello everyone! I'm Spark, Legend player from EU. After playtesting the Quest with the release of Un'Goro (Quest Hunter), I ended up coming back to my first love as it just feels more consistent. Midrange Hunter is back and it feels great!
The addition of Jeweled Macaw and Crackling Razormaw from Un'Goro is really what makes the archetype viable again. Besides the staple Hunter cards, I'm running the full Scavenging Hyena, Tundra Rhino and Dire Wolf Alpha package for a maximum of burst potential and Beast synergies.
I climbed to Legend with the deck scoring a 68% winrate
Here is some gameplay with the deck against Silence Priest and Taunt Warrior
Replacements
- Swamp King Dred = The Black Knight / King Krush / Call of the Wild / Deadly Shot / Hunter's Mark / Tracking
- Rat Pack = Carrion Grub / Vicious Fledgling / Infested Wolf
- Kindly Grandmother / Golakka Crawler / Hungry Crab = Fiery Bat / Knife Juggler / Ravasaur Runt / Eaglehorn Bow
I hope you'll enjoy the deck as much as I do and maybe it can help you reach Legend this season. Don't forget to show your support by upvoting the deck if you liked and don't hesitate to discuss about it or ask any question in the comment section below ;)

65% winrate, rank 7. in previus season rank 4. but im played abouth 3 days in season/ tnx for great deck!
Oh you're still running this variant? Nice!
Maybe you should consider swapping Rat Pack for Bearshark and consider including Bonemare somewhere ;) Have fun mate!
Where is my Tracking ! ;)
Seriously, if I want to play one, which card should I swap ?
Excellent deck as usual ! Long live to the midrange !
(Sorry for the multiple post ...)
Swamp King Dred, the rest is somewhat needed for consistency
Kind of the same opinion about Fedgling and Roc, both are pretty good at what they do but with downside. Fedgling is still pretty good as it can win games on the spot, and Roc is a decent pick against Aggro but feels a bit too slow most of the time. Otherwise, no draw needed, it's pretty much curve or die ^^
Nice deck man!
I just played it for about an hour to complete my hunter quest and I climbed from rank 8 zero stars to rank 5 with a winrate of 92%.

Merci pour le partage Spark, toujours au top :)
Awesome, nice run!
De rien ça fait plaisir :)

This deck is much too unstable, too dependent on the opening hand and curve.
This is not a bad deck but really too fragile to climb effectively with it atm.
Maybe you're just having bad luck but I disagree completely. I haven't played too much ranked this season (yet) but I've played around 25 games with a very similar midrange hunter deck and I've gone from rank 22 to 14 without much of a problem (probably around 20-5). Yeah, there are some games where your opening hand is terrible and you lose but that can happen with any deck.
Hey bro I like the thought behind your changes. Many decks are teching in cards to counter hunter pressure atm, so we needed a change up.
I'm currently sitting at rank 4 this season and steadily climbing with the following deck:
+ 1x Fiery Bat , - 1 Unleash the Hounds (I feel one unleash is enough to help is certain situations, so important to mul for 1 drops early on in game this season)
+ 1x Deadly Shot , + 1x Eaglehorn Bow, - 2x Dire Wolf Alpha. (Deadly Shot and 2x Eaglehorn Bow is super important for board control I feel this season).
+ 1x Nesting Roc , - 1 Swamp King Dred. (Nesting Roc really helps in certain situations, with the more heavy aggro/midrange decks around. Haven't tried Swamp King Dred though.
+ 1x Tol'vir Warden , - 1x Tundra Rhino . (This card is great for situational use. E.g If your against a murloc pally, you can call your Hungry Crab , if you have a Nesting Roc and need cats to ensure the taunt etc). I was running 2x Tundra Rhino last season but this season it seems to be less effective.
I just want to add also that 1x Golakka Crawler is vital. Many decks are running pirates such as token druid, quest/miracle rogue and of course pirate war. Thinking 2x Golakka Crawler might be worth it but still need to gauge how often I see pirates.
Will post again with more info, but for now GG bro as always.
Panddez.
Btw battletag name is Dannyboy .... don't ask why bro -__- lol. #1654
Thanks for the feedback :) Yeah I was even running to Crawler originally, I'm now facing a meta that feels okay with one, but still a very good tech :D
L'update est vraiment opti : 10-1 depuis le début du rang 8. Merci !
Merci! :D
Oh, c'mon. You're adding Swamp King Dred and not even a note explaining why it's good here? D=
I decided to swap out TBK as I'm facing less taunts right now. Tried King Dred and it ended up being a very nice win condition. It has been especially helpful against mage where it can hit for a bunch with Rhino and prevent them from playing Doomsayer, Antonidas or shit like that ^^
Dude, just wanted to drop you a line and say thanks for this deck (and for updating it). Seriously have been having a blast playing hunter since I built your original iteration, takes me back to my WoW days maining hunter. Just built your latest version, so glad I've got Dred. Take it easy Sparkaz!
Thanks a lot for the feedback! Glad you enjoy :D
Thanks :)
