Worse than Lightbomb - as Lightbomb didn't kill your board anyways and almost always killed the entire enemy board clearing even huge minions.
But still. This is exactly the type of thing priests needed. Effiecent boardwipes. Thanks Brode!
Who cares if this is worse than Lightbomb, Its an amazing card for one of the most played priest decks.
it doesn't disrupt their game plan, it is potentially a dead draw SOMETIMES, but most of the time it comes back to pinch you in the ass, like when you're going to fatigue- this just gives them more cards, or, when you're trying to make the final push and this sweeps some of your board
This guy is a complete idiot, compare a normal card with an Ysera card ("why would i play Blackwing Technician if Laughing Sister is better" kind of logic), i think 6 mana deal 5 to all minions is better than 5 mana deal 3 to all minions. Was Lightbomb unplayable because it costed 6 mana? nope, it was very good. It's not like priest is the heal class and can stay alive until turn 6 isnt it? If this isnt a control card that what type of card it is? if it didnt have the dragon synergy it would be a strict control card, as it is it can be played in control and tempo dragons.
So tell us how is this not good when Lightbomb was good? Same mana, preety much same effect, better if you are playing dragons, if you are playing control you dont have many minions to die from it.
So I guess every class is running dragons now?
Awesome card in Dragon Priest.
Finally, Priest has efficient removal.

Awesome card - but remember, 6 mana - how often has priest lived vs pure aggro to turn 6? I've died often before I can even use Excavated Evil... 5 mana. Hopefully other cards shore up the real problem (surviving that long). And I'm still worried I have to carry 2 of these, 2 excavated, 2 nova, and 2xcircl+2xembrace just to survive - that's a huge deck commitment just to live.
Remember how good Priest was when it had Lightbomb?
the problem for excavated was that it didn't do that much damage, this does alot more and sweeps up everything from zoolock except for doomguards
but lightbomb can kill alexstraza. but yah everything else is about right it is stronger and cheaper than flamestrike but hits your own minions. still it is not something to take lightly.
So basically stronger and cheaper Flamestrike for dragon priest....really?!
Kibler anyone?
Priest actually needed these cards and this may be the end of the shaman/aggro/"tempo" meta because control might take over, we should be happy they printed these cards. I too am a bit scared that priest might become too good but i'd rather lose to a priest in 20 turns than to aggro in 5.
Doubts about priests buffs are already evaporating, this card alone is an improvement over excavated evil on the board clear slot seeing most minions in the meta will not go above the 5 life threshold. One copy seems to be a must have for any priest deck including tempo dragon (archtype that could disappear next rotation).
Very strong card, alongside with other options such as Potion of Madness, Drakonid Operative, Mistress of Mixtures and Kabal Talonpriest we are looking at a good shot for priest to return with strength.
Kazakus could also be a great addition seeing it's AOE, resurrect and armoring potential.
Priest was already getting buffed in karazhan. If you ignored purify, you would of seen that priest of the feast and onyx bishop were very good cards, and they clawed it back a bit for priest. Now they are getting buffed harder.
Yes and no, Lightbomb can kill giants, this can kill 3/4s and 4/5s.
though if you think about it, it is equally as powerful in its own archetype , if you have a giant facing you , you should have a dragon and this card does not destroy the dragon so you can possibly trade after playng it in my opinion
