Yeah in fact its better if you want to have Shudderwock be at exactly 7 Health. When I first saw the card I had just woken up so I assumed that it meant 7+ Health, but that isn't the case, therefore Prince KelesethBaleful Banker and  Witchwood Piper seem like a better selection of card to facilitate  Star Aligner. Honestly, just getting the battlecry to trigger once should be enough to win you most games, so its good that it is a bit hard to achieve.

Ok guys I figured it out ;).

Prince KelesethBaleful BankerWitchwood Piper. Then you use Shudderwock, hope for the best order and so you have an alternative win condition. The greatest thing about this card is that when the stars align, your opponent is bound to get massively triggered.

I don't have the patience to browse through all the comments to see if people have mentioned this, but it could work with Shudderwock with health buffs. Might still be too clunky, but pulling of the effect even once can be insane. You can play the Boisterous Bard as health buff.

You need to have minions' health to be exact 7. I'm not sure if it's even worth it to pull that off.

Well this is more likely to just be run in wild Aviana + Kun Combos, but maybe there is a Battlecry that helps set this up. Or maybe you find a way to buff the Shudderwocks in you hand once making them 7/7s. I don't think it is completely out of the realm of possibility to see some sort of combo, be it now or in the future.

Shudderwock + Boisterous Bard. Might be somewhat clunky, but 7 to all enemies is gonna be amazing.

How you gonna get treants in spiteful druid other than cenaruis? Gonna have to add spells

Or just play Spiteful Summoner hitting Ultimate Infestation or Mind Control (or any 10 mana spell really) and then getting an 8/8 with rush (which can be used both offensively and defensively).

Honestly I think its more likely that that is where it will be showing up the most rather than any Treant Druid deck.

Treants are bad cards to have in your deck. Sure the spells that generate them like Living Mana or Soul of the Forest are good, but those decks win from mass buffs like Power of the WildSavage Roar or Branching Paths , the 8/8 with Rush seems a bit excessive and its more likely going to be a dead card early game when you need to be filling the board with tokens instead.

posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition 7.14 - Submission Topic

The idea behind this card was to introduce some type of risk/reward management for players in fatigue. By restore, I mean actually restoring the deck as it was (in order), e.g. if you took 10 fatigue damage (or 4 fatigue cards) this card would restore the last 4 cards you drew from your deck in their original order. This would make certain cards like Elise the Trailblazer or Forgotten Torch especially powerful if played very late and so I think that a card like this could provide some very interesting deck-building opportunities.

Really looking forward to all the card ideas from this particular competition.

    Good luck, everyone!

I'm actually really dissapointed by this one... I wouldn't be, if this was a neutral legendary. But I really dont think it fits Rogue well.

First: it's a re-hash of Prince Malchezaar. Who gives five legenday minions for free. I feel like most of the time you'll get stuck with minions you either cant put to good use and/or that are too expensive.

Second: when developing this card, exactly which Rogue archetype was considered? As far as I can tell it doen't fit any.

And Third: this could have been made easily more Rogue-esque if it read "add a random spell(or minion) to your hand. From your opponents class"

I dunno, I may be too bias, but "Random Legendary minions" isn't something I put a lot of faith in.

Looking forward to the other cards.*fingers crossed*

     To answer in order:
First: Prince Malchezaar is total trash, because it adds the cards in your deck, which actually means that you have to spend some of your draws to get them (basically you pay for the upside of 5 extra cards with reduced deck consistency).
Second: Tempo builds looking for some extra value could run this, just like they ran Shaku, the Collector.
Third: I agree partially with this, but to make it more thematic since its the Face Collector it could be a Random Legendary minion from your opponent's class, that way you could also play better around it.
While Random Legendary seems, in general, worse than a random card from your opponent's class I think this card could see some limited applicability in certain Rogue builds that are looking for some extra value.
In conclusion, while this doesn't seem that great its way better than cards like Prince Malchezaar and similar cards like Shaku, the Collector have been run in the past, so I don't think its that bad.
Shaku is different because it’s a 3 drop. I don’t think you want to drop this one on turn 3 . Even if so you probably can’t play the legendary in the next few turns.

Shaku has his upsides for sure. You can play it on 3, you get an arguably better card when you attack, etc. However, Face Collector provides more value and its much faster than Shaku, at the expense of card quality. Late game though Face Collector is probably best, so I wouldn't discount it as unplayable, I think its an average card that could definitely see some play.

You won't have a face left by the time that happens.

This card is a deck filler last  slot garbo card.

It's inoffensive unless you start pumping other resources into it for random legendaries (lol)

I guess you could say that your face will have been collected by then ;). Pretty ironic if you think about it.
Wait a minute ... guys I think I just figured out why this card has been given this pretty generic name. :)

I am sorry, but I don't see it. In Rogue's current state and card pool (we could see smth with the new cards, but I somehow doubt it), Value Rogue is not a thing. I mean we could just look at Jade Rogue, which arguably has a better payoff then a Legendary in hand, which is the Jade on the board and that didn't work out great. However, this could fill the Shaku Role on some decks that would have run that card.

Decent Value card just not very typical for Rogue.

posted a message on 30 Games at Rank 3

    - Should I keep playing this deck?

Typically i would say stick to one deck and learn how to pilot it well (so obviously you shouldn't switch), but Spiteful Priest isn't a very hard deck to pilot so by switching you won't be losing too much. Your tech choices seem pretty standard and you are already running the most effective cards against Paladins anyway. I used a Control Priest deck to hit legend this season and I found Cabal Shadow Priest to be pretty effective at swinging close games with paladin (but then again that deck had more board clears so I don't know that you would get much out of Shadow Priest with just 2 Twilight Acolytes.

    - Is this a pretty typical spread of decks being played?

This isn't an easy question to answer, because it depends a lot on different factors outside of your control. Therefore, its better to focus on your own game, e.g. how you mulligan based on your opponent's class, how you handle losing a game (a tip I hear a lot is if you lose 3 times, stop playing so that you don't let tilt get to you). In the end, you need to realize that you will lose games, but if you can pilot a deck very well you will eventually make it, so long as you don't give up (and have the time ofc).

    - What the hell beats Paladin?

I think that Control Priest and Control Warlock are probably the strongest decks that also have a very good winrate across the board. Cubelock is also pretty, but I think that is much closer. However, I think it is the wrong strategy to target one specific class at this point in the season and it shouldn't be the criteria off which you base your deck choice on. You could switch to one of these decks though to try and farm Paladins in the last few days of the season (as people start gravitating to more aggressive decks to be able to play more games).

    - Should I be playing Paladin?

Well, tbh I despise the current Paladin playstyle, especially since it favors vomiting your hand into the board and refilling with the broken card that is Divine Favor, but it is definitely a stronger deck than Spiteful Priest and I don't think it has a very high learning curve.

In conclusion, I think that whether you change deck or stick to the one you have you shouldn't change too frequently, because its counter-productive. It is much better to improve your play rather than try to counter that of your opponent, especially in an environment as varied as Ranked Play. Learn that loss in a natural part of the cycle of the game and in this way you may learn to accept losses, but also try to think on what went wrong, did you get steamrolled without anything to do? (no reason to feel as bad, luck is a part of the game and a deciding factor in a few of them) or was it perhaps your fault? (in which case there is something to learn from your loss).

Hope that helps a bit. Good luck on your Legend grind.

posted a message on Wild Guess: Announcement will Happen Tomorrow

Well I don't know about Monday, but if things are on normal schedule the announcement of the new year should be this week. In it we could get something similar to the announcement of the Year of the Mammoth (potentially with Classic cards to be moved to HoF, maybe a spoiler image of the expansions to come this year and of course the breakdown in terms of expansions/adventures, probably 3 expansions just like last year, would be my guess).

Then the week after this one we should probably get an announcement for the new expansion with some initial cards and probably a waiting period of 2 - 3 weeks before spoiler season.

    Never had this work unfortunately.

Well than maybe you were logged in at several different platforms simultaneously. In my case I had to log in and out of both PC and mobile to get them working again. It might also be that you just need to launch the app a few times to get the quests again as this seems to be the common denominator in all approaches.
