posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition 6.11 - Final Poll

First time making it to the finals, and I haven't made a submission in quite some time. Feels cool to have my creation be among other great submissions.

Black illusion Ritual is sweet. I have a feeling it will win and good for it cause Dr_Scaphandre worked with others to actually make it balanced.

I wanna shout out to Dark Angel Olivia and Yu-jo Friendship as well though. Dark Angel Olivia because the implementation of the evolve was well done, and the art on "dark blessings" is nice.

Yu-Jo Friendship because its gotten a few giggles out of me. When I see it, I think of this.

In honor of possibly the best card art in the history of all card games!! Just to be clear, it is a Druid, Shamman, Rogue Tri-class card.

    The Actual MTG card:

    Quote from Toymachine >>

All those people saying "don't mind haters be positive" and such...

Someone took legend with auto-pilot face deck, that happens to be broken beyond belief without a single bad matchup statistically, literally, and he brags about it on forum for the sake of bragging (he didn't share the list - which he probably copied card by card which is fine, make some guide or something. Tho it's not needed for such deck anyways) and you expect positive comments?

Not sure if it's worse to make such thread or to try and be positive in comments about it and call on "haters".

Gz I guess if it makes you feel good

Your right. Someone taking time out of their day being positive for the sake of variety is worse than someone taking time out of their day to spill their self-important ideals about a children's card game on a forum thread. Just adds up.
The deck is also auto-pilot of course. Because even people at low ranks don't make mistakes playing the deck, and they certainly don't do it at high ranks.

He's happy that he hit legend and you feel you need to take time out of your day to try to bring him down. How about you just let people feel good about themselves? He didn't play the hardest deck to get there, but who cares. A vast majority of the players can't get to legend with aggro druid either.
     ^This
If you don't care that he got to legend with aggro druid, then why comment?
I think posting something positive on hearthpwn is nice for variety's sake.

posted a message on New Warlock Card Revealed - Gnomeferatu

So I had this card played against me for the first time today, and I am kind of upset. I had music playing when she came out and I didn't hear her battlecry. I have been wanting to hear it for quite some time, but I didn't open one of her and I dont wanna waste the dust. I feel like I may never get another opportunity to hear it.

So I ask, does anyone know what her battlecry is?

I agree. Its just not an easy concept to grasp. It requires one to separate the literal text of the card from the actual impact of the text. People have to be willing to be convinced in the first place as well.

I can't wait to see people's reaction when they remove a card from their opponent's deck that is of no import and then actually helps them draw into a card that can turn the game around.

This is potentially worse than River Crocolisk

Edited: As if River Crocodile is a card....

I don't think the people who think this card is good would understand what happened in that situation lol.

Seen the card like maybe three time. Even when it pulled 'an above average card' I never lost. Actually I haven't lost to Warlock yet (HOPING that this is mostly luck/unrefined decklists because I would love to see more class diversity) but the EASIEST games are by far the ones where they're either running that insanely counterproductive Egg package or else when they drop that sweet, sweet 2/3 vanilla minion :)

What rank you playing at? Just curious cause the warlock demon control deck seems so frickin good. I am wondering if its good at high ranksor if people are playing it.
Oh yea and i haven't seen gnomeferatu yet!

The more I think about this card the more I think how wrong I could've been in my initial response to the card. Having a third "evolve" in your deck might just be sick, even if the battlecry isn't that much better than evolve. Might be wrong to say its weaker cause its not as good as evolve, because the evolve kind of effect is sick when it goes off. Maybe more copies = more consistency and more power.

I still have my doubts though for sure, but I just also have doubts about my doubts. God that art is so good.

posted a message on Can i get a refund for Don Cho?

Why would you wanna dust him? He's a two headed ogre with a tommy gun! And how else do you plan on making 7/7 doppelgangsters?

On a serious note I never feel bad about crafting cards I'm excited about before an expansion. Even if they turn out to be bad. Experimenting and trying to make it work is what is fun (saronite chain gang people). If you don't think that is fun than either save your dust till you know whats good, or consider another game. Life is too short to play a game that makes you upset.

Sorry I know its kind of an old thread, but I must defend the Don!

You don't play this card for it's quality, you play this card for the tilt and lawls.
I agree. Tempting to do so, but I may need the dust. . . Or I might have better ways of spending my time maybe lol.

I don't know why the video link above would convince anyone that hasn't been convinced yet. He makes pretty much the same points that we've already made. But in case it does, there is the link. I think he talks about gnomeferatu at around 4:45.

posted a message on Toshley, Sneed's, or Piloted Sky Golem?

Toshley is one of my all time favorite cards so I am a little biased. But if sludge belchers and sylvanas and loatheb are cards that come up often, I would take toshley hands down, he deals with them better than sky golem. Depends on what you can do with the spare parts obviously. Sneeds is the wrong choice any way you shake it. You're Nzoth control, you don't need more value.

I said hand not deck. Card I'm reading says destroys 1 cost spells in both hands and decks. Anything else that removed a card from opponents hand?

EDIT: If so I'm not sure how I feel about discard being in the game, but I'm excited to find out. Glad people got their jade druid tech as well.
