You got incredibly lucky whilst massively miss-playing in the early game. Turn 3 you start by playing prep when arguably you should really save it for for use with teacher which you have in hand or later to use with the quest spell (there's no reason to play the prep, no imminent threat from Taunt Warrior which is super slow and you have no good follow up to use your manna on if you don't draw into something). You draw into shadow step and use them both. You should instead have just used one to rescue your Novice Engineer and save the next, again to use with teacher or to enable a combo with something else on turn 4. Then you play your first Novice for the third time, leaving it stranded on board when you should have kept it in hand. You were incredibly lucky to draw into the second novice otherwise next turn your first Novice would have be killed on board losing your future chances to bounce it to complete the quest. If you hadn't drawn into the 2nd novice you would have been f'ked. I didn't watch pass turn 3...
I listen to the podcast every week and think its excellent. I think Chanman does a great job, I don't get why you would feel he is partisan towards Blizzard he is often critical, just a lot more level headed than some critics.
I do agree that they could tighten it up a bit though for some people it might be too long, although for me its fine as it keeps me company walking my dogs. Maybe have an editted version. Its a trap that a lot of podcasts fall into though thinking longer is better.
I'm sure you're right the percentage would be higher at 15-1. Thats why he included the legend percentage of 30% for comparison.
The 17% figure overall is still interesting since you can compare it to the 35% overall playing Hunter during the undertaker era.
Hes not even saying there isn't a problem just that the nature of the problem might be slightly different than what some people might assume. I'm really not quite sure why people are getting so angry about this!
I think you must have read a different article. The article acknowledged and discussed problems with the meta, then went on to say there was a balance patch being released at the end of the month.
Whether the patch works or not, who knows, but I'm completely bemused as to where you have derived your synopsis from?!
