It's not really 2 drop. Take it this way - it has body of the 3-drop. Turn 2 you drop this and opp responds with 2-drop. But turn 3 you can play only 2-drop, which is going to be conquested with 3-drop. Ultimately after both turns 3 have passed, both players have the same board (assuming no trading) - a 2-drop and a 3-drop.
It is a 2 drop, you can literally drop it on turn 2 and it is a very good tempo play. In the example you give why do you assume no trading? Trading to gain board control would be the whole point of playing it turn 2.
This is the way your example would actually play out: You play Totem Golem > Opponent plays 2 drop > You kill 2 drop with Totem Golem which survives and also play 2 drop > Opponent plays 3 drop > You kill 3 drop with Totem Golem and you play a 4 drop > Opponent plays 4 drop etc... In this example you are a 2 drop ahead on the board and just got 2 for 1 value from a card.
I agree with the point that losing cards from tracking doesn't matter as you will almost certainly not go to fatigue. The other thing that I don't think people think about is there is also an advantage in gaining the knowledge about what cards have been burned. Its like being able to look at the bottom 2 cards of your deck, it doesn't matter that they're actually being burned because you won't get there anyway but now this extra bit of knowledge can help you make more informed decisions in your play.
Hi! Great guide and deck, I've been enjoying all the content you've put out recently. I've been learning Oil Rogue using the budget deck you posted and been having a blast :). It gave me the incentive to save dust for Thalnos who I've just crafted.
I notice this version doesn't play Southsea Deckhand and I feel a bit weird about it since I've been finding him so useful in the budget deck. I wondered what your thoughts were in dropping him? I guess Thalnos now adds more value to Fan?
Have you considered Annoy-o-trons instead of Knife Jugglers? Sticky and has synergy with Power Mace and Flametongue Totem. I like it especially because it protects the totem allowing you to play it early in the game and potentially keep it for more turns than you might otherwise.
You really shouldn't be having problems at 17 with any viable deck. It sounds like maybe you need to work on your playing skills. My advice would be to stop worrying about a particular deck, just pick 1 and play it until you learn how to play it inside out.
I was playing against Druid as a Warlock and I had a Mal'Ganis in play. Next turn the Druid plays his own Mal'Ganis and a BGH to kill mine (see screenshot). Can one of you Druid folk tell me how he got the Mal'Ganis?

Hmm I think if you lose 30 games in a row you have to think that maybe you made some bad plays somewhere along the line!

Oil Rogue decks often have only 1 Tinker's Sharpsword Oil. Similar thing here.
