Thaddius Boss Guide
Thaddius is the thirteenth boss in the Curse of Naxxramas adventure and the final boss of the Construct Quarter.
Heroic Difficulty Strategy
- Thaddius starts off with Feugen and Stalagg on the field. They do not have their normal Thaddius summoning abilities but do interact with the player version of the cards. Using your own versions of Feugen and Stalagg against Thaddius can give you a huge minion.
- You want to get rid of Feugen and Stalagg as soon as possible. Big Game Hunter or any other removal is key to doing this before you're dead.
- Thaddius runs Lightning Storm. Watch out for AoE.
- Sludge Belcher can be an annoyance. Use your silences on it!
- Thaddius loves Zombie Chow, and you should too; They're a great way to heal up!

The same decks which are effective on Heroic can take down Thaddius on normal.
Guys how about a deck that is centred on using buff aura minions like the raid leader and stormwind champion? I think that as long as they are kept alive, everytime he uses his hero power, your minions will get buffed and it can stack indefinitely. Like a 0/2 totem get buffed into a 1/2 totem by the raid leader, and when he uses his hero power, it gets switched into a 2/1 and receives the raid leader buff again and becomes 3/1. Next time it gets switched into a 1/3 and receives the buff again and becomes 2/3. Over time the whole board will be overpowered if it can survive two lightning storms.
This is exactly how I thought but instead went a step further, using a murloc deck. why murlocs you ask?
just like mingyi456 mentioned, with aura buffs you will essentially make the aura buffs become permanent when thaddius does his flip hero power. then once flipped they will gain the aura buff again since the original buff became permanent.
the reason why murlocs warlock works best in this match up is for 2 reason. murlocs have the highest buff value in the game with Murloc Warleader giving +2/+1 and they also Grimscale Oracle giving +1/+0, thus a total of +3/+1 aura if your able to get one of each, which shouldnt be difficult due to their extremely low cost. the other is the fact that you also have Murloc Tidecaller which gains +1 attack for each murloc that comes into play, thus sudo healing itself every time you play an additional murloc. and Old Murk-Eye which will gain +1 attack for each murloc on the board, which means he'll heal up for each murloc on board as well when flipped. also murlocs are very cheap minions and thus can swarm the board quite easily.
now we know why I chose murlocs, but why did I choose warlock for the class?, well simply warlocks have the easiest time dealing with feugen and stalag. you have SoulfireCorruptionPower Overwhelming that can help you deal with the twin guards on turn 2. and if you happen to not be able to defeat them on turn 2, then you also have Shadow Bolt to take care of them on turn 3. theres just so many answers to help you deal with those 2 with the warlock deck. then you also have 1 Shadowflame to use on either your own Feugen or Stalagg to help clear the board, do a lot of damage, and to get your own thaddius on board.
I find this deck has a high win rate again heroic thaddius.
Thanks a bunch for posting this. I lacked a Murloc Warlead, Coldlight Seer, and Murloc Tidecaller with my deck so I just added two Puddlestompers and a murloc raider. I proceeded to one shot him thanks to this deck. Granted I got insanely lucky and pulled two Corruptions out to get rid of the Feug/Stal combo on turn 3.
done it first try with that paladin deck from video just added both stalag and feugen 2 tadius 11/11 imo rekt
Typo! It's been corrected.
^^. Was giving preference to the pages which detail content that is currently playable rather than the later stuff. There will be several more updates to these other pages in the coming days to nail the formatting and to prepare for the wings.
