i was playing against an RNG rogue on the ladder (if you play this on ladder burn in hell) and he had 2 minions on the board with 2 health. I didn’t have anything in hand to deal with them but I had a brewmaster and zephyrs so I was gonna fish for holy nova (which would have been the best option and then bounce zephyrs in my hand to have for the inevitable Tess play later. But no, he offers Tyrion, Baron Geddon, and another card that wasn’t even worth considering. Needless to say I didn’t have zephyrs for the Tess play so I missed lethal by one turn (the card I needed was the last one in my deck of course). I would think he’d prioritize healing yourself over damaging yourself and killing your other cards...

Baron Geddon is a better option than Holy Nova in a vacuum because it clears his board and leaves you with a 7/5, while being the most mana efficient play. Zephrys doesn't understand your micro game plans so you have to cater to him if you want to manipulate his offerings. If you wanted Holy Nova you would have needed to bring yourself to 7 mana before playing him, so he is more likely to offer a 5 mana card.

THIS. It takes skill to manipulate Zephrys and make him give you what you want. The other day I was fishing for a Pyroblast, so I made sure to play him as my very last card that turn so he would only consider plays for next turn. Lo and behold, I got my pyroblast.
You poor baby, god forbid zephyrs didn't give you your iwin card. You must be devastated.. I mean this card is so fair and balanced they obviously need to look into it more to up the power level.. its not enough it offers boardclears from every class and cards that are impossible to play around.. they should make it so when you play him you instantly kill the enemy hero.. that seems fair
Zephyrs always gives you the answer for the avaliable mana you should have spent mana so that after playng Zeph you'd have 5 mana left to ensure the holy nova

Zephyrs doesn't care about your hand. It only looks at the board and your mana.
no shit Sherlock, I know he doesn’t and I never said he did. Holy nova was a superior option to Barron geddon per the reason I laid out
Per YOUR rationale. You honestly expect it to know give you an option that may or may not combo with the rest of your deck later in the match?
If zephyr worked like h wanted it too then it would be nerfed on the spot
Looks like he gave you the right choices. Each deals with the situation of the board at that moment.
He didn't give you the perfect card because you can't even correctly spell his name. It's Z-e-p-h-r-y-s, Zephrys the Great.

Lmao blaming Zephrys for you being a bad player

If the enemy hero is Jaraxxus, he will in fact do this.
