it has always been a pay to win game, if you dont buy cards to get the whole set you will not be able to make the boring netdecker decks that evryone plays, just gonna have to suck it up
Just do daily quests for gold buy more packs then finish for the day, simple
very little incentive to ladder climb nowadays anyway
So your complaint is that the game... changes over time? Thank goodness for that. I would hate for the game to stay the same forever. In fact, three expansions a year is too few in my opinion.

Disagree - you're bitter. Back to the salt thread!! <3
oh i could live with one per year ^^. and think two expansions per year and monthly balance updates if needed would be best. But constant changes are needed otherwise boredom will bring down the playerbase.
And it is possible to focus on 1-3 classes as F2P player. I did that for over a year and focused on shaman and then paladin and warrior got added. I still scrap wild cards a lot only keeping a few that i think are important or i have a special link like to Hallazeal the Ascended . So i have only one wild deck for which i crafted a few epics.
i dont know, everything seems different, and i dont know if this game mocking me but this game purposely give me out-of-season legendary and cards
"You need to focus on your efficiencies at a F2P player" umm sorry but please explain
There are plenty of strategies you can employ as a F2P player to maximise your enjoyment. A tonne has been written about it in just about every forum.
For starters, as stated, do your Daily Quests each day. Don't let a day tick over where you have 3 because that's just free gold lost. If you have a quest that is 50 gold, re-roll it (click top right of quest icon) and it will maybe give you a better quest.
Register with HSreplay.net if you don't already have an account. It's free. Get HDT or Arcane Tracker - there are easily accessible links to this on HSreplay. Linking that will upload your collection. You can then use the "Decks" tab to search for decks with decent win rates that are cheap. Hot tip - Midrange Hunter.
For right now - I would save everything if I were you. Any gold/dust you spend is going to be wasted or at the very least have a poor shelf life. Start preparing for the new rotation in April, and you'll be able to get a fresh start and craft 2-3 really solid decks that you will have fun with. Don't go for the short-term options at the expense of your long term progression in the game.
There are still a few budget decks out there (I think the best ones are Odd decks like Odd Paladin) but you'll have to play quite a bit and do your dailies if you really want a decent collection. It'll take time a lot of games.
There are quests right now that also award dust so go play and start putting your collection together.
I wouldn't say the game is P2W but if you choose to go entirely free (the starter pack is a pretty good buy) you'll have to accept it will take a long time and a ton of games before you can put any significant non-budget deck together. Some of them go well over 10k dust in value.
Given the rotation is coming in April, I'd save your dust for now. If you do want to craft something, you can safely craft Classic cards and anything from Witchwood or later. Those won't rotate in April.
Op seems to be gone from the game for months perhaps even more than a year. This game is very f2p friendly. I have a main account for 2 years and alt f2p one for a year and a new f2p account since the start of rasthakan. Right now my most competitive one is my f2p alt one cause i craft a lot of crazy shit for my main one. Whats fubby6us that hybrid hunter and secret hunter deck which has been the n1 decks this year is what i have in my 2 months old account. Got rexxar dk from frozen throne adventure and the rest just grinded and a bit of pack luck got me to craft the best deck in standard.

This game is not pay to win. It is a pay to have progress game (speed up progress). Pay to win games is games were items is locked behind a paywall or you cant get a item you want indirectly/directly with game play in a reasonable time(only way to get an item). I would say HS is reasonable if you play and do every daily you should get at least 1-3 t1 deck's between expansion's but is far from the best economy.
If you are poor, but you want to perform well, focus your resources on a cheap but solid deck, such as good old Midrange Hunter (with no legendaries or epics, it still works). Budget Tempo Rogue is also an option, and probably some others as well.
On the long run, systematically completing all your daily quests, you will be able to craft more expensive decks. Even as a F2P.
As for the game changing, I don't know what to say. It's too vague, and not even a problem tbh.

it's quite the opposite actually.. you can craft the top tier meta decks if you don't get the full set, however, if you want to play fun and meme decks, then you need to have most of the cards and turns out it's much more expensive.
I am f2p too, only bought once a pre order. Playing casually. Got 4-5 viable decks. Nowadays i can reach rank5, so legend rank can be an option too in the future. I Just collect gold before 2 months of the next expansion release. Yeah and its not Hard or farming thing, i only do the quests and try to climb and get bonus gold. At RR, i opened 60 packs and got 4 legendaries and 20 epics. And Again, im f2p and can build some decks to play ranked properly, so dont wanna hurt you, but i dont understand your opinion. Well Yeah i had to farm and craft my decks netdeck/my own deck whatever, i like playing this game. If u not Just quit
well like the title say, this game became different than i previously know
there's no playable deck for me and i'm poor af to buy a goddamn card pack
even if i buy a pack, rng became an issue
So basically this thread is a complaint about you being poor?
What do you want us to do, exactly?
im not complaining im poor, im just complaining what went wrong with this game?
surely poor is a solid point that can be taken but seriously what went wrong?
You need to focus on your efficiencies at a F2P player. If it was ranked, I'd be #1 Legend for that ;)
Get enough dust and craft Whizbang if you are poor, find a friend to play with only with Whizbang decks.
And what exactly is wrong with the game for you?
i dont know, everything seems different, and i dont know if this game mocking me but this game purposely give me out-of-season legendary and cards

What the last time you play then?
