if I understood you correctly, your minions got silenced, but his buffed Deathlord didn't? Well that is what should happen - Mass Dispel silences only opponent's minions, in this case yours.
Yeah you read it correctly I just didn't comprehend the enemy part after seeing the sparkle part removed. Should of figured it out since 4 mana silence your own too would be awful.
Only if that card was a thing, Purify is very lonely and wants a worse card to be its friend!
I use one in my control priest deck. It is very situational, that's true. On the other hand, if you manage to survive to midgame, when you can use it + board clear of some kind, it can absolutely destroy opponent. Similar to Spanish inquisition, nobody expects it. 2 Shade of Naxxramas waiting in stealth for 3 turns? Get rekt. Warlock in the late game, hiding behind 8/8 taunts, going face, ignoring your board? Get rekt. Deathrattle rogue? Insta concede. Zoo also suffers a lot. Brings a ton of joy.
Make it a 3 mana card and it will finally be perfectly viable.
I run this card and it comes in very handy. A Priest needs card draw and this works out great. with that said, I wish this was a 3 drop.

This does cost quite a bit, but it's tough to make it cost less.
Moonfire plus a card draw is Shiv which is fair at 2 mana.
Silence plus a card draw would be worth 2 mana. Being able to affect multiple enemy minions makes it worth more, so at the ABSOLUTE LEAST it must cost 3 or it's completely broken. Even that seems a bit cheap in comparison.

It used to be a card that many won't consider placing in a deck. However, as new expansions are being introduced over the time, the value of this card increases, in a slow yet steady speed.
Yeah.. warlock's dreadsteed, paladin's inspire BS (murloc, regent) and shaman's valiant buffed totems comes to mind.
Anyone who says it's terrible 'cause of it's cost and it doesn't help against aggro just don't play it right. It has little use with zero board presence. This card maximizes it's value when effectively trading with zoo and bypassing taunts. Also, if you want make it 2 mana, compare it to Flare. Both stealth and secrets don't appear and every game, and nearly any minion becomes weaker when silenced.
