Hello, I don't know why but this season I cannot pass the rank 17! I've finished most of the seasons at least at rank 5 but now seem impossible, I have a cubelock, a kingsbane mill, big priest and I can build many others and I know I'm not this bad, so what's wrong? is it a meta that still I haven't understood? Please no noob answers, thanks!
For whatever reason, I have had more trouble this season than any other. I don't know why.
It happened many times but I always had the firm idea that was just the RNG, now I feel that any of my decks can make it
There is no true RNG in this game. Everything has increased or decreased probability. The behind the scenes is out of whack right now.
Could you link us to the source? Do you have any kind of proof or is it just your stomach feelings?
Just years of playing the game and seeing the pattern. I’m not the only one that’s noticed. You can search plenty on the topic. It’s not game breaking or anything, but it does have its annoyances when big nerfs like this come out. Everyone wondered why the didn’t nerf cube..it’s because they did it behind the scenes.
Then it’s sadly just BS. You noticing a pattern is nothing in the grand scheme of 70 million players playing the game. Unless you find 50 million topics then it’s just a useless stomach feeling.
Show us some proof. Or live in a world where anyone can claim anything to be true.
My gut and common sense has served me well in my life. Not everything can be found via source and statistics. I don’t care rather you believe it or not. It’s there, and will always be there. This game cannot be balanced with card design and nerfs alone.
Got to rank 10 with Miracle Druid, and stuck here too. Can go to rank 5, but need to craft legendaries for that. Waiting for New Year (saved 9000 dust).
Stats are good, sometimes it just takes time, look at the win ratios if they are below the average it's your fault, if they are above 50% you need sometimes tens of hours to get to legend. Just look at the top streamers playing 12 hours straight.

I guess that's how they came up with religion. "I somehow got a feeling that a divine entity is protecting me."
You seem upset. The same “provide statistic and source” drivel posted ITT has been posted hundreds of times in nerf threads for Patches, Raza and Creeper. The stats and sources were rarely there. They still got nerfed and were problems, correct? Only simpletons or children need everything proven. That’s not how things work.

LOL, I seem upset because I refuse to believe in some conspiracy based on your guts? Are you serious right now?
You seem upset because you’re getting emotional and taking shots at religion. It’s not solely my gut. It’s common sense.
Always other deck ^^ I use to hate cubelock, and never gonna create cards for this bullsh**
Glad to hear that :) Bring back times when i can play Reno Warlock with Jaraxxus! Those lovely times... First Guldan DK.. ok fine, whatever.. than that stupid OP KaC package.. what have they done..
A well thought out challenging response, allow me to respond based on my own experiences and observations. It's not there, and it never has been.
"provide statistic and source" drivel...
So provide statistics and source is not really about proving anything it's about asking you to demonstrate the basis of your thesis and opinion as without it we only have you're word for it and with the greatest of respect that carries little to no weight given you're just a random picture on a games forum.
Only simpletons or children need everything proven
And only cretins hunt for complicated answers to simple questions dismissing all other possibilities.

The guy who starts with argumentum ad hominem claims that other people get emotional.
BTW the analogy with religion is fitting as you claim something without evidence, going so far as refuting empiricial evidence.
There is zero evidence for or against. Unless they come out and admit it, there never will be. Blizzard manipulates probability with pack openings and arena, why some naive people believe it doesn’t transition to matchmaking and standard I have no idea. People are also dodging my comments on previous “prove it” posters. This was spammed in nerf threads for Raza, Creeper and Patches. You don’t always need to be a weatherman to know it’s raining.
Entered this thread to let out my frustration... this month is EXTREMELY irritating for me, I climbed to legend many many times even though I don't play a lot - ranks 5-1 were (almost) always a matter of picking a good deck, focusing, and I could breeze straight to legend in 2 days, but this month...
Its just ridiculous. Right now Im rank 4. There is no specific deck people play that I can counter. Last 10 games I saw otk paladin, combo priest, big priest, spiteful priest, cubelock, murloc pala, "dude" pala, zoo, secret mage, minionless hunter and midrange hunter. Not even 1 repeat. Meanwhile whatever I queue with, I constantly get decks with teched-in counters, like eaters of secrets against my secret mage or oozes against my cubelock - while I don't play murloc pala, I bet I would encounter hungry crabs the moment I queue with it, as its known some people tech them. Today I tried to trihard to rank up, but after 40 games I'm exactly at 50% winrate and completely nothing works.

Keep dancing around the question with attempts at intelligence. The “prove it” response was spammed in countless nerf threads when evidence wasn’t there, and the cards were still nerfed. It’s obvious that hard data is not always available for every situation and occurrence.

Its the matchmaking probability acting up since nerfs. You and others are experiencing it.

Ah, so as with many conspiracy theorists before you, you're moving away from your previous comments and focussing on your more recent question regarding "prove it" as if not getting an answer to that somehow invalidates previous responses to you. Whilst it won't apply to everyone I'm sure what a lot of people meant when they said "Prove it" was "please could you provide the evidence that underpins your angry half baked theories". Please allow me to respond.
Corridor Creeper - there was loads of evidence to show that this needed nerfing. You only had to go on the many stat sites to see the number and variety of decks this card was used in to see that it warranted. I'm stunned people would need this proving to them as it was fairly clear.
Patches the Pirate - people have been crying out for this to be nerfed almost since it's release and have presented lots of theories on why. Perfectly reasonable to ask people to back up these theories and very little of them have been proven true by the reasons Blizzard chose to nerf it which was the impact it would have on the future of the game in Wild.
Of course you'll probably disagree with this and go back to the fact that people said nerfs were needed for a multitude of reasons and then the nerfs happened. Does this also mean that everytime people have called for nerfs and they've not happened those people have been wrong?

I know the feeling of queuing up bad matchup after bad matchup, but if you have replays, you really should look at them and see where you were outplayed, where RNG truly took hold of the outcome of the game, and where you made mistakes.
If you're honest with yourself, either you made misplays or you are the single most unlucky player in the history of Hearthstone. Either way, there's nothing to be done but keep trying and learn from your mistakes. If your gripe is with the meta, so what? You can't do anything to change it by complaining. It's about persistence and a mix of understanding your deck and your opponents' decks. I'm still learning to consider possibilities and tech cards; it's tough, but not worth coming to Hearthpwn to cry about and then try to defend your claims without any proof.
Seriously, if you post replays, the community will help you analyze your deck and strategy, point out misplays, etc. Give it a try, and best of luck in your future ladder matches!

Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
Rather than go back and mess with multi-quoting everything, Ill just try to replay to a few of the points that caught my attention.
"Prove it ..." ... That's the thing ... there is no way to do this (and I imagine you know this, so that is why it is the easiest way to try to stifle the debate on the subject). Without literally having some kind of Blizzard development insider to blow the whistle, there is no way to "prove" this. That is where common sense comes in. You know .. if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck ... it's most likely a duck.
"The meta changes too fast" ... This is one of the things that would of course be a legitimate point, except for one thing. The massive number of people playing the game, and the massive number of games played. It's not really logical to think that millions of people all decided to make a change (not just a change, but make the same change) at the same time. To use this a an explanation for the very rapid, and very noticeable differences in matchups, we would have to believe that at roughly the same time, a vast majority of players all decided to swap from playing one type of deck, to playing another.
Again, very small sample size, but last night I picked 2 decks, control warlock, and an off-meta (but pretty effective) Jaina mage.
My matchups with Control Warlock were 36% Priest (it's weakest matchup), 18% Paladin (it's best matchup), and 19% Warlock (mirror matches or cubes, both of which are pretty much a coin toss). 22 games played, 64% Winrate overall.
With the mage, I faced only 23% mage and 12% Paladin (its worst matchups), with 11% Priest and 18% Warlock, (it's favored matchups). 22 games played, 49% Win Rate. More notably, I also faced a couple aggro druids, and a couple Warriors (two classes / decks that I didn't even see when playing control, but would have been heavily favored to win).
Yes, it doesn't prove anything ... but i don't see how it anyone can look at those stats and not raise a brow. Hell .. just look at the priest numbers ... 36% to 11%.

Its the matchmaking probability acting up since nerfs. You and others are experiencing it.
Or, as a possible equally plausible reason. The nerfs mean people are experimenting with all kinds of deck and tech choices and potentially every deck they saw had those tech cards just some people never drew them?
Other than seeing an even larger variety of deck types (no bad thing) I can't say I've noticed any major differences in the matchmaking.

Same to me, betweeen 15 and 12 😡
Just look up Barnes Hunter.
I used that to go from 15 to 5 pretty much without a loss. Easiest ladder climbI’ve had so far in fairness.
Am now sat at rank 4-5 and havin a ball with meme decks now the annoying climbing business is out the way for the month. :-)
