As if there weren't enough complaints about priests, now it seems more than a couple of them have found another way to "win".
One the reasons I often see about why priests shouldn't deserve a nerf has just shot to the top of my list as to why they do, if this is going to be a thing. And obviously, somewhere, someone has mentioned it, because I played 4 games where this new shit-tactic was tried. So, many people say priest is fine because they give up early game for card draw .... valid point. But, 4 times now, I have had priests let the mulligan timer run out, then wait to the last second of the rope for the next 2 or 3 turns. Its pretty obvious this is just to try to get a free win from a concede. Seriously ... if you need the time to think out a play, fine. But if you are just going to try to drag out your turn, knowing damn good and well you have no play ... I hope Blizz does nerf your asses back into the hole they have been in.
Yeah, that player was definitely roping you because he was playing priest. Nerf priest and people won't rope anymore. You are so right blizzard should hire you.
This guy nailed it on the head. Assholes are assholes no matter what deck they play... In fact, nerf assholes to make HS a better game.
I DON'T think this thread is stupid. People who BM like that deliberately use priest because they know their opponent will be more likely to concede to that deck, AND even if they don't concede, because they're playing a broken deck, there's still a high chance they'll win.
+1 to OP. Wish priest was nerfed.
Don't mind the haters OP, they're usually really unintelligent.
It's funny because a year ago, people loved priest because it was never used. Its strategy was to basically slam deathrattles, entomb your most powerful cards and slam a great big N'zoth to kill you, now don't get me wrong, I loved priest but now that it's tier 1 people go mad. I think the current archetype could do with being toned down at the end of the expansion, but Priest is easily killable and it's not horribly oppresive. People just play the match up poorly in my opinion and play around too much, since Highlanders can only run one copy of each. I win the majority of my games vs priest in unfavourable match ups just because I play aggressively and kill them before they kill me.
Stop hating on Priest and get gud. This isn't Pre Nerf Jade Druid, Priest has Counters. Learn the match up and play the right decks its that simple. My second highest win rate is against Priest, I've played Priest ever since I started, EVEN WHEN PRIEST WAS A MEME FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR.

Not possible; team 5 refuses to do anything about player conduct in the game.

What more can they do though? Nerf the Rope? That's really the only thing your enemy can abuse to be Toxic.
Not surprising, but a a couple people actually understood the reasoning behind the thread. For those that can't seem to grasp basic common sense, I'll try to spell it out for you.
The players are not just roping in the normal sense of being an asshole ... they are adding it as a "strategy" to an already borderline shit deck. Knowing full well the first 3-4 turns of the deck are just going to be card draw, they intentionally drag out those turns, hoping for a bullshit win.
Now for months everyone bitched about jade druid, almost exclusively citing the following reasons:
The deck was not interactive, was oppressive, wasn't fun to play against, was played too much, blah, blah, blah.....
What part of not just passing for 3-4 turns, but also roping out the timer DOESN'T fit nearly every one of the same damn reasons listed above?
As for "just get gud .... lern to counter it" .... there is no "counter" to waiting for a player to hopefully draw a card that is going to spawn an endless supply of unstoppable minions, or playing against a deck that has near perfect control, and an unstoppable win condition .... other than just trying to vomit out enough aggro damage to race them down ... which was ALSO one of the top reasons everyone wanted Jade Druid nerfed, because the counter to it was the dreaded aggro decks.
But the point of the post wasn't to bitch about the deck itself so much, but that if it wasn't already bad enough, players are using the lowest tactic in the game, roping, to make it even fucking worse.

Still doesn't makes any sense. Nerfing a deck just because someone used a shitty tactic as roping to win or get the opponent tilted is borderline crazy. The strength of the deck is an entirely different topic since you are complaining about a players behavior that played this deck. According to your logic when your opponent ropes you, no matter the deck they played it deserves a nerf. Also if roping against you in particular is a way to win than that is your problem. Even tho i agree roping is stupid and annoying it's definitely not a way to win and anyone who thinks otherwise should learn how to play this game because no one in his right mind would loose just because someone is acting like a douche. Yet another priest complaint? I'd say yet another salty player. Sorry
Why can't people grasp the concept that people can spend AS MUCH TIME AS THEY LIKE on their turn, up until the rope runs out. That is part of the game, it is in the rules. If you don't like it....find another game. Sorry about ya.
I think they should nerf gnomeferatu warlock. One time this dude played gnomeferatu and discarded my death knight and he then he emoted me.
What the fuck. HE FUCKING BMED ME. This deck needs to get banned. If you are able to emote after playing a card that helps you this deck is out of control.
I'm with the OP on this. Whenever someone ropes with a deck it needs to be nerfed. Actually, if you spend your whole turn with any deck i think cards should just be auto flagged in the system to be banned.
Not even sure why I try to have an intelligent conversation with a bunch of window licking basement dwellers ... but I'll try one more time for posterity ...
The point if the post wasn't "errrrmagawd! Nurf priest noaw!!!!" ... it was pointing out that if your class is promoting the use of a douche tactic like roping to try to get a cheap ass concede win, you DESERVE to get nerfed.

Usually intelligent conversations don't work when you're insulting people. It will more than likely just lead to this being a troll post and getting removed.
But to take your side for a second. How can any deck promote roping? Unless it specifically says you have to play out your full turn to activate a card or something.
Priest as a class is the roping class? That's how it was designed? You think playing dragons on curve encouraged people to rope? It's hard to understand what you're trying to say. If you have an issue with design that's fine, but it's like you're blaming a tool for someone being a douchebag. When someone cuts you off on the freeway do you get mad at the maker of the car? How did blizzard design the class in a way to encourage this behavior. Which priest cards were designed for this?

I didn't start insulting until after having nearly a full page of insults tossed my way.... for what its worth.
But, to answer your question, as I pointed out, I believe it is because the standard opening for Barnes Priest is to just simply draw or pass until at least turn 4. Prior to today, I cannot think of a single time where a player decided to stall as much as possible during those turns ... today, I had 4 out of 9 games used that tactic .... which leads me to believe that someone, somewhere has suggested that as a tactic to get some free wins....

Stop crying.
A report this player button would be useful. People say that this could be abused, but I think that overall it would improve the game.
I called the police they will be there to help soon.
Summarizing the OP's post:
Priests need a nerf because they are roping the first 4 turns because they have no early game plays.
This is so stupid it makes my head hurt trying to think about it.

I have been playing for three years on three different servers and I have experienced intentional roping from my opponents once. A single time.
So I'm sure most of that stuff is in your mind.
