Guys SchruteBucks helped me find a website that told me what decks are in each tier. I made a aggro shaman deck but would now like what to mulligan for. Any tips? Thanks for the help. I am currently playing the aggro shaman deck located here.
Tempostorm when you pull up the deck shows you the mulligans for each class you would face. Just click on the symbol for the appropriate class your facing. Now the deck list there can change from update to update also. For instance the dr 4's were in then out on some shaman decks (don't remember if it was midrange or aggro). I'd also be happy to spectate or play against you to practice.
That makes the game really bad, a player who can't pass 15 just go to tempostorm instacraft the t1 aggro deck and play it without mind. They just filling the ranked 8-15 and makes much longer to reach 5.
No offens NractGamin :)
This is how you learn to play. It doesn't make the game bad.
at current meta that is exactly what you do. Say warlock played big drake you gonna trade it? Be like what if he got shadow flame Reno p.o demonfire, I lose the board then he can Reno if he wants we go late game he has Kazakus potion. No you hit him in the face, he often got bad curve because he plays greedy deck, if he plays on curve you cant win like ever with any deck. You play to the higher odds, not around things. I think on average you draw Reno 1/3 games before turn 6. I mean yeah you play little around things like you don't play all small drops and empty your hand if you are afraid of shadowflame or hellfire...
But that was not the point anyway. I wanted to say if opponent needs specific topdeck for win (maybe leeroy) and you can play around it ( heal face or whatever ) but if you could play ooze for that 2 mana and have lethal on board you go for the ooze. Chances are on your side, with other play you give him more time and dont present lethal yourself. If you play a lot and always on higher percentage to win you climb. if he topdecks lethal yeah he believed in hearth of the cards, you lost.
You probably know that, but since I started playing like that I became much better player, and hit legend. Wheather you like it or not that is what ranked is about playing to higher odds.Legend player got maybe 50 more wins in season then rank 5 but those wins are from close games when he correctly played to higher odds . But if you enjoy playing control decks playing around things is winning strategy, let your opponent run out of cards kill them slowly, fatigue them. For aggro decks its playing to higher odds. Maybe I am wrong but I am pretty happy with my win rate, wanted to give advice for climb
At your ranks, it's probably due to misplays. I'm facing people who's misplaying at single digit ranks right now. Hect, i even misplay occasionally at Legend rank. Minimizing it will lead to a better percentage in victory.
Want to share the deck I've been using the past two days. Been trying out new cards for my reno mage deck since it's a new season and It's been easy breezing up the ranks through a win streak. The deck is more fun now with Rhonin + Antonidas combo as well as all the kazakus spells. Give it a try if you want something different :)
Typically, I have two decks to rotate thru. There is usually a meta in each individual rank. Sometimes a particular deck just does not work for a particular rank range and minor tweak or teching just is not enough. Then I would switch to the second deck. Sometimes the switch helps to prevent tilting as well.
As many have mentioned before, data is your friend. The best tool for pc to collect data at the moment is https://hsdecktracker.net/. If any given deck's win percentage drops below 55% for a span of around 20 games, it is probably time for a change.
Thanks guys i didn't know these resources existed. I am going to create the aggro shaman. I just disenchanted the last of my legendary wild cards to get Patches and Thalnos. Wish me luck!
Guys! You created a monster. :/
If you don't want to play aggro, I can recommend miracle rogue, much more fun and more difficult and interesting.
One thing to note about meta reports is that the "best" decks may not necessarily be the most popular where you are on the ladder nor be the most powerful deck outside of a vacuum
Last season on EU, I only experienced the expected pirate spam up to around rank 6, at which point everyone was either playing Renolock, Dragon warrior or other decks with ooze. Powering through ranks 6-4 with face warrior or shaman would have been a masochistic endeavor. Rogues started showing up around rank 3 onwards to legend to farm the Renolocks. Then pirate decks crept back in around rank 2 because people stopped teching ooze
Analyze your meta and try to play decks that make sense in it. Ideally, you should have at least 2 decks ready to ladder with. You can also tech in cards to make popular matchups more favorable
Luckily for you, dragon priest and face shaman have very different matchups. I would start with face shaman since it has more raw power of the two. If you start running into a lot of weapon removal or midrange shamans, you can switch to priest. Add ooze if you find lots of pirates, cut 7/7 if you find lots of rogue, etc. Pray to Yogg that you never find a Renolock meta
I would not recommend a player who worries about missplaying decks like Miracle Rogue or Reno Kabal. Though very powerful, they are one of the hardest to master. Curvestone decks like dragon priest is a good starting place
look it is early in the season, people didn't hit high ranks yet, if you aim for rank 5 only i recommend tryhard in last few days of the season. It is a lot easier then. Just chill for now. If you get ~50% win rate its good. Don't expect 70+ this early. People are countering shamans atm probably with control decks that will get dumpstered by reno or jade druid. Change deck and chill. Aggro Shaman is tier 1 deck, try it again later
To rank up, you need a lot games to know different decks, for the newbies aggro and midrange are best decks, like hybrid shaman, pirate warrior and dragon warrior. Even dragon priest, it's also kinda midrange board deck.
Second, you should know win condition of each deck, combo, face dmg, board control or value game.
Third, don't play casual game it's boring even with hidden el system. Each deck at least needs 100 games to get familiar. Only have acc on eu from beta every month legend, but have acc on na for open cups. Can give you some advise for mulligan and early game.
This game is easy to get legend, but difficult to get high legend like top 200, the best way to rank up, you should know your opponent's deck, what he would play, etc.

I found aggro shaman to just not work. I am trying out aggro warrior now.
