This card is a very unique and powerful tool, but it can't do much alone, and I don't see how it fits into current decks very effectively. But two expansions down the line, there could be decks relying on this one drop.
This card is probably my favorite from the set. It's so awesome, you can stick it in to a lot of different decks. Think about it, aggro decks could get you hero powers such as Hunter power or warlock hero power.
People, this card is not a guaranteed turn 1 play and it does not let you choose a Hero Power freely. Due to this, it doesn't help any deck or create any new potential decks. It's simply too inconsistant and too harming for deck building to ever be used. (well, in constructed)
It's a nice nerf to Murloc Knight tho.
I wouldn't say it's that much of a nerf to Murloc Knight. It has a better body than all of the other 1 mana murlocs, at least.
This card is basically an auto include in all murloc decks. 3 health for 1 mana is very strong when combo'd with the other murlocs -- none of the 2 mana murlocs have 3 hp. Plus the hero power choice provides you with a lot of flexibility. I hope at minimum some of these new cards make murloc decks semi viable on ladder again. It wasn't too long ago when you'd run into them once in a while. I haven't seen one since TGT.
just want to clarify people who are thinking justicar, justicar only works with STARTING hero power, so this will not work.
This in fact will work with Justicar Trueheart as she doesn't care whether you started with your hero power or not, only that it one of the 9 that has an upgraded version.
Aw man Blizzard's really trying to make the Murloc thing happen lol. But really, it depends on what kind of Hero Power you discover. Solid stats for a 1-drop though.

Most people forget that it has pretty good stats for a 1-drop.
Well Met!
I would have loved this card to change your hero power to : summon a Murloc
And also a Neptulon nerf wich makes me sad.

say hello to my hungry crab
control rogue that doesn't utilize bladeflury and oil should have this
My Awesome Decks
Problem is, you cant build a deck around a random hero power, will just not work, fun card though especially for randuin a must include :)
Crappy card, never gonna see play
Well it certainly works in Murloc Paladin. I've always felt the recruits are pretty useless in Murloc Paladin.
That said, Murloc Paladin isn't a competetive deck. Maybe Sir Finley Mrrgglton could help, but he also hurts Murloc Knight and Anyfin Can Happen.
Could this card make poisoned blade good?
I think this might improve Paladin Murloc, by giving the Life Tap hero power.
