Kobolds and Catacombs Guide
Whenever this minion attacks a hero, add the Coin to your hand.
He has a giant collection of purses now. One for every outfit!
Maybe, in a deck that plays double Conceal (any miracle) and double Master of Disguise...
Fadeleaf Toxin is a less reliable but a further help for cutpurse.
Anyway, despite his low mana cost, Cutpurse IS NOT an early game drop: it must be used in combo, or, if without any stealth or at least taunt to protect him, as a desperate move.
Cutpurse is strictly a combo drop.
I really wanted to use this guy but it feels like most of the time he will end up being killed the turn he comes out. The good part abut him is I suppose it almost makes you opponent use something to kill him, or put out a taunt that they would put out anyway.
Sometimes you get good value out of it, but most of the time its just a freebie.
2/1 with charge as mentionedor even a 2/2 with deathrattle / battlecry
.. would have made it one of the best rogue cards. FeelsBadMan
Goddamn Blizzard! Just give it one more health!
Highly underrated card, I run 1 copy in my oil rogue version. You can often coin it out on turn 1 and you're likely to get at least another coin, if you have backstab, deadly poison and/or agent you can protect it and easily get a lot of value out of it. You can also play it when the board is already yours as a win more card.
This card is quite similar to aspirant in the sense that you get a temporary mana advantage, or you can just save your coins to make a bigger play, it's quite flexible. I like it a lot.
The card can be imba as fk. Just got it against my Control Warrior on turn 1. During mulligan nor first 4 turns I didnt draw a single of all the weapons, nor any removal whatsoever. Rogue got and a minion, and 6 damage in, and 3 coins, minion still alive. All that for 2 mana. I don't care at all about the damage, but getting 3 Coins, like 1.5 cards just because opponent has unlucky draw is just plain terrible game design. So much for balance.
Honestly that's just you being unlucky and not terrible game design. If it happened every game then yes, but don't blame your bad luck on the developers, that makes you a pathetic idiot.
Does golden purse give golden coins?
Confirmed. Gold cutpurse gives gold coins!
2 mana 2/2: be immediately removed next trun.
Card is amazing in arena, get it out as early as possible, even made a paladin (at 9 wins) concede on turn 4 when he realized he can't kill it.
But you do need the cards to back him up, otherwise he is a waste.
This is actually really hard to use most of the time. Yeah you might score 1 or 2 The Coin's from it, but not even another taunt minion with is can stop a simple 1 or 2 mana spell from killing it.
Unless you buff it, but then again there are worthier cards than a 2/2 lol.
I play combo rogue, where you use a ton of small minions, coin giving minions, combo minions and Edwin Vancleef, cutpurse is the best in that deck.
Are you sure Tomb Pillager doesn't take the prize in your combo deck? :)
I didn't have tomb pillager then. I was only knew to the game and the deck was basically a worse form of the questing adventurer deck that popped up for a little bit.
I take it like a 2/2 with taunt at best... Really never fits into my deck for now - but I will search for some inspiration.
For me, this card is insane in arena if you draw it in first 2 turns.
give in game gold pls
This card hard-counters a hunter's misdirection on an empty board. Had one try this, cutpurse was misdirected. It gave me credit for attacking two heroes, two coins. I had a sucky hand, but I played assassin's blade turn 3. Since that pretty much gave the cutpurse permission to attack face the next four rounds, my opponent surrendered.
