The meta would have to be stupid slow for this weapon to work.....Will see ZERO constructed play unless some new cards have really good synergy with this.
This card is completely unplayable garbage. Never pick this card in Arena. Never play it in constructed. Turn it in to 100 dust (400 if golden) and move on.
Idk if you play constructed but if you do, would you play this against a face hunter on turn 4? Or against Zoo? I mean unless there is a spell or creature that reduces the mana cost of weapons I can't see how this is worthy of 4 mana.

Anyway, this is really bad. Old Rogue hero power used to add +1 attack to its dagger instead of replacing it but there was a card called Envenom which doubles your weapon attack for a potential OTK. If Envenom is still in the game, this would be a playable card (playable, not even good because the meta is much faster than it used to be).
Maybe cards to be revealed can make this useful, but as of now, this is the worst weapon in the game and I think it should cost 2 mana instead of 4.
With the new inspire mechanic, rogue was left in a situation where they couldn't use their hero ability every turn.
This would have effectively left rogue behind. In a meta that will spam hero power every turn, this weapon attacks as a 2/3, 3/2, 4/1 without any buffs.
So in effect this card is really gonna end up being 3/3 for 4 mana. I think that's still fairly strong.

Sorry if being a dumb-ass but I had to go to bed direcly after the stream yesterday. How was this card revealed? Though the voting? And if that's the case, will the voting system reveal a card each day? GvG's voting system was too slow in my opinion so I hopet his is the case :)
...and I do think a card will be revealed each day, or at least one per week day because there are 19 card slots in Hearthstone site and the release is August.
Lets be fair people a lot of us thought tinker's sharpsword oil was overpriced garbage. I mean it was a whole 3 mana more than deadly poison for only 1 damage more.
but i think it's inferior to cogmaster's wrench and that never sees play either.
I feel like everyone is forgetting that a bunch of Inspire cards are about to be released and there is a decent possibility that there will be a new style of play where spamming your hero power every turn can be a good thing/not result in a tempo loss.
On its own this card looks quite weak, however there are a lot of cards still to come and it could prove to be quite powerful. For instance, if there is a rogue version of Coldarra Drake coupled with Maiden of the Lake and Conceal then next turn you could add 10 dmg to the weapon. Or, more likely, there will be a card with Inspire that will be similar to "every time you use your hero power, add 1 dmg to your weapon", meaning each hero power will boost it by 2 dmg, and then add the oils on top to get a powerful weapon. I think people are being a little shortsighted, there's a reason this card is an epic, I just don't think we've seen why just yet.
I call it: There will be an additional card with something like "Everytime you use your hero power deal damage equal to your weapons attack to a minion"
This card alone could be very nice for rogue if it would give +1 durability instead of +1damage.

interesting card. but i guess it was almost obvious that rogue gets something like this in an expansion about hero power synergies. rogue hero power is really quite a pickle for inspire, since it can only give you value every second turn and in should in many situations not be played at all. so this weapon fixes that.
i predict something like a 2 mana minon with "combo: next time you use your hero power, it costs (0)."

I think there will be a bladesmith to go with this sort of thing. Inspire: +1 weapon damage or similar
1/4 give your weapon 1 attack for every dmg your minions has taken^^

It just seems bad, 4 mana leaves it open to a harrison from your opponent next turn

When was this card released? It wasn't in the stream yesterday and it's not on the official website, so where do you have this from?
