I believe this is a very strong card, but I can see why some people think it's not that good, being unreliable and high mana cost. The last 6 mana spell I remember is Thistle Tea it didn't go very well for this card.
However I think 3 of the 4 options are straight up good enough for any rogue deck. You have a better Entomb against non-deathrattle minions, a better Meteor, a consistent and better Firelands Portal and the worst one is a single target removal that adds 2 coins that will gladly synergize with your multiple Edwin VanCleef generated by Togwaggle's Scheme.
Not sure it has clicked in yet for peeps just how powerful this card is. Meteor is one of the highest rated cards for Mage of all time with a score of 192. In some ways Unidentified Contract is even stronger since most times the middle execute target will have more than 3 attack. Am talking from a Arena perspective tho, this card will be one of the best if not 'thee' best in the whole expansion, most certainly for Rogue.
Mind you this version shown is the best RNG bonus ability, but the others are not bad themselves. This will no doubt knock down the final scoring but overall in the end it will remain in ''Excellent tier'' territory.
I think this is very good, maybe even better than vilespine. It is unconditional assasinate (in that way vilepspine was kind of six mana), and all of the effects are good, with the betrayal effect probably the weakest, because most situational benefit. The poison/stealth 1/1 usually will provoke a one card answer, two coins are always good, and any threat worth being assassinated is usually not a useless card to have in your own hand.
And you can prep it.
It is not too flashy maybe, but I would be very surprised of this doesn't become a staple in almost any rogue deck.

Probably the best spell revealed today assassinate plus convert, patient assassin, betrayal or 2 coins (essentially making it a 4 cost card if you want) makes it worth it, BUT only if we dont see a weeny meta.
Controlish meta, very strong aggro swarm meta, very bad
Unidentified Contract is an exceptional card. Vilespine Slayer is hugely popular in Rogue and comes down around the same turn (since Vilespine needs a combo activator), and all of the forms are pretty great:
Summon a Patient Assassin: Effectively 3 mana destroy a minion twice over two turns. Very reasonable cost to value ratio, and the only way an opponent can deal with it is with some AOE or random minion destruction. Probably the worst result, but still very fair.
Add the destroyed minion to your hand: Effectively Entomb, but it trades the silence effect for an immediate draw of the minion. I expect most of the time you'd prefer to immediately draw the minion rather than silence it before destruction, so that form is better than Entomb, which was a great card when it was in standard.
Add two coins to your hand: Effectively 4 mana, so it's an unconstrained Walk the Plank, with the added benefit of future combo activators if you don't need the mana this turn. (Admittedly, it comes down a little later, but that's probably okay - you don't typically need to use hard removal as early as turn 4 in Rogue, as you expect to have decent tempo in most decks.)
Deal the destroyed minion's damage to adjacent minions: In most cases, this will be a much better version of Meteor, which has seen lots of play in Control Mage decks.

I guess I'm a little warped on this? Community vote is very positive and comments say trash? Personally I think for 2 more mana than Walk the Plank why not use this instead? It has a pretty good chance to be far more useful than a simple removal, and at the cost MOST of the identifications allow for a pretty reasonable argument for 6 mana. I will say the stealthed 1/1 poison has a chance to whiff, but so do the other effects really. Generally it is a Meteor copy like others say, and sometimes it is extra value for an type of Rogue in copies or coins. Really I think this is just a strong card in any version of Rogue. I suppose that makes it less than desirable to most because it doesn't outright look amazing/broken in a single archetype, but I feel good about this card in Tempo still. Bury 3 minions as a high roll for Rogue is pretty nasty.
It's a lot of flexibility and would probably see play in any other class, but I think more often than not Walk the Plank will do it's job more efficiently.
Only really useful with prep in which case it's extremely good, but you're also burning a prep that could've been saved for something else.
I would say it could see play in some sort of combo deck that would be able to make use of the coins, but since the effect is random its not reliable enough for that.
Meta will probably be far too aggressive post-rotation for this to work out in the near future.

+ Preparation = tier 1 card.

lol he's not saying anything bad...
Saying control rogue sucks is not thinking outside the box it's being fixated
Now the real question is, will there be a...
Vilespine Contract
Destroy a minion.
Summon a 3/4 Vilespine Slayer.
The extra mana cost would be because you could Shadowstep the Vilespine.
All modes are good, and yes, some modes are situational, but those modes are EXTREMELY good.

Why would any rogue play this over vanish? Sap also does a fine job for a third the cost.
Perfect example, How do you Sap a Faerie Dragon?
In a vacuum this is a pretty good card.
Outside of the vacuum, I don’t know if this is a good rogue card. I’d be much higher on it if walk the plank didn’t exist. But it does. So does sap.
On the other hand, it is a strong card. Redundancy is worth noting and the fact that it can be AOE that isn’t Vanish.
That new heal card is good. Zilliax is good. Togwaggle is amazing. We might see our first “control” rogues.
Walk the plank
:D

Seems really strong, compares great to Siphon Soul.
Hell no! Class weaknesses are there for a reason!

Oh, Lethal - where did you go? I miss you all the time.
Bye Vilespine Slayer. Miss you
I bet another bonus effect will be like Kidnapper but random.
