in animation here Arch-Villain Rafaam adds also wild legendary minions to hand. I wonder if it adds from only standard pool or from all. They generally reveal new cards from new sets for only standard. It is kind of confusing.
Memedeck-seeker. Always tries to build new decks. Hates tournements, streamers, netdecks and poor-o players. ah, but a tournement mode could be great !!!
If you play him in standard, it will only generate standard legendaries. Toki, Time-Tinker is an exception because of specific specifications of wild legendaries.

I know how that mechanic works. Just watched the video on official site and confused because they always make those videos for standard.

I'd honestly rather pull Madam Goya over Harbringer Celestia.
Which probably says something about how good "turn your deck into legendaries" actually is. I don't know why they keep trying to make this effect work. It hasn't been good. It isn't going to BE good. Discard Warlock is less of a lost cause. And not even High Priestess Jek'lik could save that one.

They are not trying to make this effect work, i guess. They are keep making this mechanic because playerbase likes this. Especially f2p players. They don't have so much legendaries and they want to see those legendaries in play. They can see almost all of the legendaries on act with a single card so they keep that meme alive.
I remember how my flatmate loves Prince Malchezaar. He threw that card to all of his decks.

You got a deck with removal/early game(zoo) but no good win condition outside of that, you play a 7 mana 7/8 taunt which is a good stated minion(!) and you get a deck that isn't useless anymore against the specific matchup it's a one card win control matchups, on average legendaries are big guys with impactful battlecries.
one card win control matchups where I saw this before? hmmm...
I'd honestly rather pull Madam Goya over Harbringer Celestia.

Yeah, I think that's exactly the case. I can remember how my son freaked out about Prince Melchezaar, because he thought it to be "super awesome".
I actually think it's a real fun idea, especially for f2p and younger players in general. Not everything has to be viable for Tier 1 Decks...

I really desperately hope that the playerbase start trying to enjoy the game instead of trying to climb all the time but that thing will never happen.
Btw way i have edit my comment with Prince Malchezaar example at the same time. I'm proud that I was right about my thought. :D

I checked all of the older expansions' reveals. They always used standard cards for reveals. That's why i am confused.
Stop mentioning that Playing standard: add standard stuff, Playing wild; every card stuff..
I am playing this game since beta and I know how cards work...
Just watch the animation.
You must be a troll lol, if you spent any amount of time in this game you would know that golden monkey when in standard, was only able to play standard legendary’s and if they let Warlock have such a broken card (most of the time) with no restrictions it would be stupid. Now stop with the asinine comments please.

He's right, though. You're just missing the point and being a douche nozzle.

Ermmm... Not really.
Back in the day, Elise Starseeker was used in many Control decks, especially Warrior. I mean, things have changed and the effect is probably unable to compete with broken stuff we have nowadays, but it isn't worthless.
I don't think this card will make the cut, but I believe it's much better than Oblivitron and Swampqueen Hagatha.

Yeah here's the thing even if you want to take that kind of tone. What exactly is new or big or exciting about this kind of effect? As documented, we've seen it before. Numerous times. And what's so great or big or exciting about filling your deck up with crappy cards like Harbringer Celestia, again?
Chef Nomi is something new and different and memey (And you know what's cool? I'm not even so quick to rule this out, because it does have a place in super slow controlly fatiguey metas) and a new different, unique effect.
This is just the same old thing we've seen a million times that only one class can use.
So your pretentious "I'm better than you because I don't meta!" argument doesn't even function on the level of fun memes. Which is kinda sad.
I think the OP has made a good observation and has possibly made an interesting discovery - the footnote to his video on the official site says "Each member of the League of E.V.I.L. brings their own unique twist calling back to the expansions which first introduced these characters"
However to counter this the reveal video of the card shows the player's hand being replaced with legendaries that are in Standard...
So maybe he does bring back old legendaries or maybe he doesnt? Strange if he does though because you would think this would have been made clear in the reveal

And also Golden Monkey has same effect so that also makes me think like they bring some new stuff like Toki, Time-Tinker with Arch-Villain Rafaam.
TL;DR, I am confused.

Where did you see a wild card in that trailer?
It's like every other gaining cards effect (except Toki): Playing standard: standardcards;playing wild: every card
in first comment there is a link from official site which leads you to the animation, open the link and cycle down.
Rafaam adds Sir Finley Mrrgglton and Madam Goya to the hand.

As far as I know there has only been one video of Rafaam in action, and he doesn't add any wild cards in that video.
Maybe they made the video in a wild setting.. I mean the card also can be played in wild..
Yeah I've thought like that too. It seems they decided to make the animation in wild this time.

It's gonna be VERY good.

why is it so hard to understand, his text is very clear (and so is Toki's). He will transform them into standard cards in standard.
