Skelemancer seemed cool before you actually got to play with it - anti-AE, cheap for the stats, but it turned out it was crap, even in decks that ran spikeridge steed...so no, this won't see play.
The card itself is great but the meta adapt for answer "Bonemare-in-all-decks" make every deck run silence, this kill the card.
Yes, if the silence tech remain like now this card don't see any play like Skelemancer.
But we have a limit how far the decks can adapt in techs, silence, wepons destroyers, secrets, jades, etc...
You can tech vs something without sacrifice your deck consistency but you can't tech vs everything.
Don't like this card. This card forces you to have several 8-cost minions that don't have valuable battlecries and imposing that sort of restriction on deck design is going to lead to many suboptimal choices. Would possibly be better if it said "Recruit a minion that cost at least 8" but even then it's not great. Would be much more valuable as a Discover mechanic but that'd also require the card to be much more expensive given Free From Amber is 8.
Also, as we've seen with Dirty Rat, it's not always a good idea to give your opponent the ability to force on your minions into the field. And that's even more dangerous when they know it will be a big minion. You might set yourself up to get hit my a removal or a Mind Control or Entomb.
Even with Battlecry instead of Deathrattle, it's bad.
Sure, who in the right mind will want a 7 manas Tirion with a free 3/3 buddy. :/
The problem is that the buddy still takes a cardslot and therefore clunks opening hands/curves and is a ridiculous bad topdeck when you draw your 8 drops beforehand. There are a lot of hidden drawbacks in this card imo.

Yes but if you have only one of them in your deck and you draw it before you can play Silver Vanguard then Silver Vanguard becomes a very expensive 3/3 with no valuable Deathrattle (Recruit only pulls from your deck not your hand). Hence, the need to have many such 8 cost minions and hence my comment that it's forcing you into deck choices you might not otherwise make and is it worth that?

If you're drawing all of your 8 drops in your opening hand, are you really going to be winning that game anyway?
I feel like a lot of the arguements against this card are similar to the ones against Patches when it first came out. That said, this card probably isn't that good in constructed, not because of anything to do with consistency but just because the initial body is so insignificant and vulnerable to silence. This card is way more comparable in its problems to Hadronox than Patches.
That said, Hunter's might play it for the chance to highroll with Ooze.
oii vey! I am glad people recognize this to be terrible.
What 8 cost minions are played? Lich King, Rag in wild... and then a few that have battlecries... so basically just Lich King...
If you pull Lich King on 7 its great, but the odds of you getting this before turn 7 and not drawing Lich King by then... not great (below 50% by my rough math)
Now throw in Rag in wild and maybe this is a one of in some decks
Edit: Maybe in Big Warrior with Garrosh. I think you need at least two 8-drops to make this not terrible
If that will even exist. Until they reveal some boardclears/healings/card draw I'll be skeptical. Actually a midgame board clear could be enough, but for now that doesn't exist.
PS: something like 4 damage to all minions for 5 mana.
Anyone who thinks this is bad is forgetting why boom is good.
Because 7 mana minions are garbage. This is a really good way to fill curve on a lot of decks.
(And yes, I forgot Bonemare was a card while I typed that.)

This might be the worst card ever.

I think this actually fits Into the big hunter list, alongside kathrena, the lich King, and charged devilsaurs.
