And people said BGH is not going to be played anymore.
He won't.
a) BGH is getting nerfed b) BGHs existence unnerfed suppresses the use of any and all 7+ attack cards that don't provide board presence after their deaths
If this card is getting used, it's because it's a neutral pyroblast on an empty board, not because of it's body -- which is useless once it reaches 7+ attack.
Why should BGH getting nerfed? He is necessary, because Handlock would be unbeatable without it. As long as Handlock doesn't get nerfed, BGH won't too.
And that's two problems right there:
8/8s for 4 and 0 mana should not exist in the first place.
4/2s for 3 that kill BALANCED 7+ cost minions should not exist to counter the first.
...
But hey -- if Blizzard buffed Prophet Velen from 7/7 to 6/7 -- and preferably buffed Earth Elemental from 7/8 to 6/8, and Ragnaros from 8/8 to 6/8 -- even if this means reducing his damage to 6 as well...
Sure. I want to play fun cards and NOT have them be removed by the same one minion wheter I'm playing against mage, druid, warrior, warlock, hunter, rogue or shaman.
Overall -- I'm getting tired of all the blanket removal in card games, both Hearthstone and Magic the Gathering They never manage to emulate anything like the experience of RPG mage battles, like in D&D games, where summoning powerful demons leads to interesting interactions over several turns.
I realize that they're not trying to simulate mage battles, but... damnit -- that's where they get the flavor! ...and that flavor is the reason I play card games. ...and that flavor is spilled the split second cards like Big Game Hunter kills Prophet Velen, and when powerful cards in general are killed by 1-3 mana blanket removal cards... and when they refuse to buff cards.
You must consider that freeze mage is not famous for playing minions, that in this case have to buff C'Thun.
It loses mad scientist anyways. Basically you can run the 2/2s the 3/4s which means big boss is going to be 12 attack regardless. Freeze maze though in the sense that you are going to something like this
Frost bolt
torch
fireball
any number of cthun minions
blizzard
doomsayer
flame strikes
thaurissan
brann
basically early board control and hard removal until you can get to a play where you can cathun for 20+ damage or brann for even more if you can get bran that low a cost or him on field.
Just wait till Rogue players get this card. Play this card, let it deals it damage, and then shadow step so you can repeat the process. Might be a bit slow, but it would be interesting to see.
also the god would probably loose the buffs after the shadowstep .... OR!?!?! actually that's a big question and to a earlyer post the Entomb question is still unsolved too

Well even if the buff is remove you can just play more of the buff minions since there are 16 of them.
Brann Rogue with the minions that buff this card and gang ups. Wait a minute, turn 10 C'Thun Preparation Gang Up. In theory, you could buff multiple C'Thuns with the minions that give the buff and 10mana roflstomp their board over and over again.

yeah, its not like handlock isnt losing healbots, belchers, implosions, dark bombs, voidcallers and malganys.... heck, handlock will be in worse shape than in vanilla simply because classes got more reach and also people got less retarded and dont burst through handlocks HPs without any regards to moltens, its like the old QQ about warrior OTK with charge moltens "boohoo, i was stupid enough to drop warrior to 10 without having a backup plan to moltens, plz nerf nao" ...
Now they HAVE to nerf BGH or BGH willl be in every deck
But if they do you have an hard time dealing with a 15/15 or more. BGH needs to stay where he is.
You know they could nerf BGH and add more balanced removal to the game. Just because there is a place for BGH now does not mean that it always has to stay that way.
Hey guys I think we can compare this card to malygos rouge which from my experience doesnt perform so well atm or I am not doing very good with it. Anyways 10mana is a lot! in the current meta we dont know how things will shape with standart etc. There needs to be some cards to make the crazy ctutututu work(cultist like Beckoner Evil with no immediate effect! basically a River CroC) which maybe means sacrificing Board Clears Taunts other Higher value meansto stall the game long enough to make this work (Agroo Midrange Druid Secret Pallas without minibot and muster but dr 6 Tirion etc BGH +Reno turn 10 etc) Anyways its tooooooo early to make any comment to be honest I hope this turns out cool and a fun archetype to play with :)

OH MY eh.... may the eh save/protect us .... wait a minute ... that doesn't work anymore >.<
So, turn 10 Brann Bronzebeard + 2x Beckoner of Evil + Frost Nova , then turn 11 play C'thun, it's a 14/14 that deals 28 damage, likely clearing the opposing board, and annihilating their face too. Well, this could be very interesting if the game slows down sufficiently.
Not sure if this has been mentioned here or elsewhere, but in my limited experience (not a CCG expert or anything)...
But in response to all the “nerf BGH” or “don’t nerf BGH” posts, what about the fact that there are also *3 Other Gods* that we don’t know about yet.
I would assume each one ALSO has 16 cards to go with it, for similar synergy, and differing effects, right?
They will most likely all be able to counter the other (like one giving you a shield against the C’thun missles, etc - who knows)...
Just saying... be patient folks before deciding that Mana Wraith is going to be the new meta... lolz
We definitely don't have the big picture yet. And even when all the cards get released, most of us won't see what's good and what's not until a couple of weeks have passed.

Mana Wraith is like the only anti-C'thun card that's gonna be standard.
Well
I like golden animation:

8 mana card at best. Not 10 :/
Im pretty sure Hysteria will do some beyond OTK vid with this card + beckoner of evil, shadow step and lorewalker cho.

I see a new OTK Deck Coming :o
The nice thing about this is that the card doesn't die to Big Game Hunter.
Meaning, if you play this, and it's battlecry doesn't kill your opponent, you did it wrong.
