The OTK aside, the animation of repeating all those battclecries is what bug me. This is by far the most broken card made in Hearthstone. How did it get pass the test phase is beyond me. I'm all happy experimenting new cards until i met a shaman who keeps playing infinite shudderwock, and the biggest problem is he did not OTK me. I was waiting for like half an hour watching the battlecry animation for like 2 turns? It's truly AMAZING!!
Yep. We have no combo breakers now, which gives control decks zero answer to combo decks. If I'm playing a slow deck, I'm already just conceding when I see Shaman.
And "play a faster deck" isn't a valid rebuttal. That's the same thing people said about Quest Rogue; just because a deck loses to aggro doesn't make it balanced.
Can't wait for my free 1,600 dust when they nerf it.

Yeah, I don't know what to say. I hated Exodia mage, but this. How the fuck did they create this abomination? This is just sick.
I don't mind how competitive it is (I mean, refined aggro decks will certainly crush this), but it's stupid to spend 2 minutes doing nothing but look at triggers. For that sole reason I predict Shudderwock will suffer the same fate as Yogg-Saron, Hope's End.
I agree that the animation time is the most obvious flaw with the card. Not saying the deck isn't oppressive or to good, however that remains to be seen when other decks get more refined and a meta starts to take shape. These combo decks seems to overall be very hit or miss with people.
With Gnomeferatu you have one in thirty chance to actually destroy Shudderwock. And if you run two of them, that's one in fifteen! Oh boy, oh boy, I surely hope Blizzard does not nerf Gnomeferatu!
If we're talking memes might as well run Glinda Crowskin and take that up to a 10/30
Tbh, I agree, it just keeps you stuck in an infinite limbo, again, and again, and again, and again, it's not that you can't win, it's that you can't even play, however exodia mage I find is insanely unbearable
For once in these threads I agree - it's incredibly frustrating to have 0 counters to this. Literally 0. Not any card or combo of cards remove this effect once it starts and eventually - some time later - you lose. Utterly broken and this is the whole point of playtesting before release to players.
This card lost its flavor faster than a stick of fruit stripe gum. First game seeing the combo i friend requested the opponent and we both said it was the craziest game weve ever seen. After sitting through that garbage animation train after the 3rd game I am ready to concede shaman matches altogether
The biggest issue is the rope-issue, not shudderwock itself. Blizzard introduced doublerope to prevent this, but it don't seem to work right now. That needs a quick fix.
I dont think Blizzard even play tested this card. And for the people who are saying '' Its fair card because it loses against aggro. Why would I forced to play a deck type that I hate just to win against an unfair deck? Even if I play it they have Healing Rain which usually heals 20 face damage per game plus lots of taunts like Tar Creeper and Saronite Chain Gang Probably best thing to do is just nerf the combo cards. Dont get me wrong its not salt or anything but Blizzard always does that its like they dont care or predict how the meta is going to be. They did the same thing with Cube Warlock and now with this. Hope they will nerf it soon.

QA fail.
There is, like there is to any combo deck, just kill them before they can set it up.
Right now, even the best decks have abyssmal winrates around 40% at higher ranks. Yes, the Shaman decks will be refined, but so will everything else. I don't think there are any indication this new combo deck is problematic, you just feel helplesd when losing to it, that is all. Plenty of decks will make them feel equally helpless...
The main issue is: people going ****** aggro decks because they want to counter that shaman, and people that doesn't run that they are just fucked up because they have to face 10 aggros every 11 matches.
So you tech for aggro? Let them chase away Shaman while you prey on them. That's the rock, paper, scissors meta in a nutshell...
People are gonna complain about this for several weeks, then Blizzard will say " We are observing the meta, looking at our metrics etc" then a month or two after that they'll nerf it
The problem with the Shudderwock decks is that it is a one card win condition, if you don't draw it, it is feelsbadman. And it loses hard to aggro decks. However I agree that when it goes off it is absolutely nuts.
Well at least its not as cancerous as thijs twitch chat. Love watching the guy but that chat JESUS CHRIST.
The deck gets fucked by aggro tho why you complaining lmao. Cubelock is 5000x more oppresive.
He doesn't play battlecry's in order of play but it doesn't really matter because with the right battlecry cards your guarnteed to otk your opponent.

How is it fun to play against exodia mage? Everytime I see that quest it is a instant lose for a control player like me.
My opponent ended up with a lot of shudderwocks on a turn that cost 1 and his turn was well past 10 minutes so I just quit.
