I recently made a Deathrattle Hunter deck and I was wondering if you guys think the deck will be viable. The deck list is down below so feel free to check it out.
Forlorn Stalker is a little weak. Leper Gnome, Loot Hoarder and Harvest Golem aren't really strong enough to support such a deck, particularly if you're only including one to fit the Reno archetype. A Leper Gnome, a Loot Hoarder, a Harvest Golem and a Twilight Summoner being N'Zothed into the game isn't really much of a win condition, although it's not exactly awful... I like the dream of Twilight Summoner into Huhuran either on curve or together on turn 9, but many people think Twilight Summoner is right on the edge of playability.
That said, we really just need a couple good, cheap deathrattles in WoG and the archetype could be a lot stronger than we expect.
If it is, then it is not going to be in the standard format, and it is definitely not going to be a reno deck!
Right now there is not enough good cards in the wild format, to make a competitive deathrattle hunter. So in standard with no naxx and no GVG (thereby no Feign Death), you will end up using a lot of cards, that just do not fit in.
Princess Huhuran is a card that needs some good deathrattle cards in order to make it good, and if you try to put it into a reno deck, then you are cutting your options for good deathrattle cards in half, so it is just never gonna work!
If I should make a guess, then you are in the best case going to make Princess Huhuran allmost act like a third Savannah Highmane, in some kind of midrange deck. The control style hunter just needs so many cards that I do not see it being a thing in this expansion.
Not much point asking if it will be viable in Standard when not all Standard cards have been revealed. It's also probably not going to be a Reno deck since you want multiples of very good Deathrattle minions, not just Highmane.
I don't think Reno is a good adition in this kind of deck. There arent enough deathrattles in standard (as far as we know) to even make a deck only of 1of's. Moreover, if you want to make a GOOD deathrattle hunter, you can't cut your best deathrattle minions (Savannah).
So, you better take out Reno for the sake of any (potential) consistency this deck could have in standard.
So, I did some serious thinking, and here's a deck that took me some time to make. It may be crap, it may be good. You all decide. I will give this a spin Tuesday and report W/L ratios and the sort. I did do a writeup and its in the deck
How would you feel about taking out one Zealous Initiate for the Dreadscale? It also enables some combos with tentacle (or with the remaining initiate)
Also, if you play N'Zoth, you don't play Huhuran. Princess Huhuran needs some low cost deathrattle minions to provide good value. If you play N'Zoth, you will remove low value deathrattles, and Huhuran will rarely have a target. 6/5 5 mana beast is OK, but not what you'd spend 1600 dust into.
Huhuran works well with hybrid midrange / aggro. N'Zoth works better for a controllish midrange.
Retooled my Acidmaw deck to fit a deathrattle theme (was much more control-based before). Trying out some stuff that probably won't work at all, but I thought was worth a shot.
If Deathrattle Hunter wants to be extremely good in Standard then somebody will have to create a new version of it. Hunters and Druids are the only two classes that add a Deathrattle to a minion. Hunters has two cards that does this: the hat from League of Explorers and the Infest card from this expansion. The hat Deathrattle card will have more value since you get another hat once the minion dies and can repeat the process. Since N'Zoth resummon Deathrattle minions that died you can easily fill your board again with powerful minions even if you added the Deathrattle in the first place.
As a side note: This will most likely how Druids will do the Savage Roar combo now in general.

is it confirmed n'zoth summons minions you infest/hat?

It better or I will be extremely disappointed.
I'm pretty sure cards in the graveyard aren't read that way. The game would see the card as it exists normally. Infest is a buff card. So if you infested a Houndmaster, N'zoth wouldn't select it from possible resurrections because houndmaster doesn't have a baseline deathrattle like webspinner. Does that make sense?

As it is currently? No, I don't think so.

Honestly Loot Hoarder and Harvest Golem and Leper Gnome are just there to fill the deathrattle spot.

If you got the coin, the Mercenaries get going. Vote for The Mercenary for CCC #3.

No. Don't even bother.
The above post may have held true, but I feel enough tools were revealed today that it's worth a shot.
Although I'm no deck architect I wouldn't be surprised if something along these lines came up

I do think that N'Zoth the Corruptor will work well when you have about 6 solid, OP, deathrattle minions.
Sylvanas Windrunner, 2 Savannah Highmanes, Cairne Bloodhoof, 2x Infested Wolf. Maybe other two solid, midrange minions. Infested Tauren works, even not being that good, for he is taunt, which provides board value when you spend your whole turn playing N'Zoth.

Very interesting input thanks; I may go back and make some tweaks then.
