The Warrior class has access to a large amount of removal spells, and while we want to continue providing Warrior players with powerful removal options, Execute stands out as one that has proven to be too efficient in too many situations. We’re increasing the cost of Execute from 1 to 2 Mana in order to keep the card as an option closer in power level to other existing and future removal tools.
I hate this change i play a lot of control warrior i have found that yes execute is a very powerful tool in the kit and is staple in almost every warrior deck the card did not need a nerf, because it is the only other removal (sheild slam) that warrior has to get rid of big minions. I feel that the condition that execte has is enough to keep execute at one mana and untouched for the time being.
Almost every class has that 1 or 0 mana cost card that essentially can kill any minion, or do major damage. But there is a price to be made. Warlock, Soulfire Mage, Forbidden Flame Druid, Naturalize Shammy, Lightning Bolt (There are actually quite a bit of abilities Shammy's have) Rouges, Backstab Pally, N/A

So this nerf, personally should not be happening. If anything, if they nerf Execute then they need to nerf other classes' cards as well.
I think it was shield slam that should've been nerfed to oblivion... they still have 4 pretty consistent remove anything spells. I mean they could trade a 1/1 and 2 mana to get rid of a 10 mana minion... pretty ridiculous. Shield slam is still stupid powerful as armor is easy to obtain currently. Overall probably the only nerf that made sense due to: brawl x2, shield slam x2, execute x2... is pretty much 2 (almost) board clear and 4 removal of anything.

Rating 3/5: My personal oppinion is actually 5/5 of this nerf, but if i keep my personal feeling out of it, i don't know if this nerf was actually necessary. Still: it's still a very cheap removal, but no longer the most overpowered one in the game. Might help other control-classes against warrior.

look at the mana cost of all those cards tho. Sap the only 2 mana card is a soft removal and doesn't really count either. If you can't damage a minion by T4 execute it chances are you're gonna lose anyways. You know just mana of the card increased by one, that doesnt mean that card is unplayable. 2 mana assasinate is still unfair enough to see play. It is just way less unfair than 1 mana assasinate. In addition to that, you forgot to mention Shield Slam in above list. So Warrior still has 1 mana removal. Lets not forget about War axe aswell.

I wish I could be surprised that people are complaining about this, but most people in the hearthstone community would complain about a blowjob.

I didn't think it needed a nerf myself, but at least with this nerf it is still playable unlike some of the nerfed cards in the past.
1 mana "kill any minion" spell? Whats wrong with that? Except Faerie Dragon, Spectral Knight, that terrible legendary and anything uninjured...

Why would Execute cost 1 when Shatter costs 2. It's easier for a Warrior to damage a minion than it is for a Mage to freeze one.
