I like the idea but even if you played this card and tesspionage (as if you had exactly 3 cards: this minion, prep into  espionage and then you could play a card or two to avoid a burn. Meh

Shuffle rogue is what I've seen it in- summoning the 4/4 spiders from fal'dorei. Mostly a push for lethal or if low on cards in hand and having played an espionage or 2, emergency drawing.

Hearthstone is so damn boring these days. Seriously... I can't play a fun deck because I'll get wooped by anything tier 1 or 2. Can't test around a zentimo buffing elemental deck since I'm either entirely outvalued by typical 960 dust kripp hunter deck that I see 1/3rd of the time, or I'm up against priest who has a 20/20 turn 4. Meh... just boring to play and feels like I either have to quest rogue which is more decision making than I thought it'd be (but those wins don't feel as good) or 15 minute warrior quest games which also feel like no fun- although again, more decisions than you'd think consider it's mostly- play a taunt and occasionally remove their minion.

Only one non-salty game- interesting game with warrior taunt versus evolve shaman (standard) where he actually pulled out thrall turn 5. Thought he was going to bloodlust as he didn't trade with his board of 4-5 low mana units. At least it was interesting going against a deathwing turn 5 and still not dying (dont think he was able to hit face once- nothing out of the ordinary with taunts). still so boring.

posted a message on Wild is not Unfixable. It is just Hearthstone team being lazy.

You mention mana cheating... what about emperor T? He's basically the only reason I'd play wild (aside from old fun evolve shaman). He does mana cheat but most people kill him after one turn- rarely does he live to give someone 2 turns of reducing mana cost.

I'd say Blizz doesn't typically do much regarding wild- most nerfs/adjustments are for standard. I don't think it'd affect them as much as they think it would to say nerf barnes to pulling any minion 8 mana or less but then everyone with that set would get an auto 1600 if they haven't been using him already. Hard to say. They've been enjoying nerfing critical cards without nerfing the big legendary ones (like leeching instead of kingsbane) so I doubt they'll put much into that now. MAYBE at the start of the new year if there's enough complaints about wild.

I consider it as a decent investment in time to get there. Not that they're bad or good players because I've ran into both.

For all the salty people.... go to the salt thread. Asking about what seems strong early on is legit; however, more often than not, people will look back and possibly see they missed a big one that only truly came out when the meta settled. I think Janalai is pretty strong as doing 8 damage with your hero power isn't hard to do at all and mage added more control cards this set. I also feel like priest will be strong... having lost to being mindblasted 5 times (if you hold a dragon discover a spell AND discover a spell in your deck). Not sure if that was unlucky or how often mindblast is a discovery option.

posted a message on How do you punish Hunters? Lets find solution and fix meta

Let's avoid the phrase "boring meta" a whole 3-4 days after the expansion releases. Are there too many hunters? Sure... but a yogg-like card has that effect. *Praise Yogg*. =P

I'd run warrior or even old taunt warrior with a few updates to it. Might not stop an aggro hunter but I haven't ran into many of those.

posted a message on The Standard Brawliseum Has Taken Over Tavern Brawl This Week!

I remember them doing a brawliseum before an expansion and everyone cried it was a money pull by blizzard to get F2P to spend 1000 gold on an entry and then not be able to buy as many packs. (Although confident that was a few expansions ago).

Ha. Love the salt. Of course every expansion after it comes out has it's aggro fest and still playing old decks to climb before the meta settles deck. Glad I don't have time to play much this week with this shenanigans going on.

also- demonbolt is clearly zoo lock material. You have a lot of minions, use that to get rid of a sticky minion (or at least try to make it cost 2-3 to destroy a minion). Better than Unwilling Sacrifice.

Also- agree with DMH_Meta that your value on warrior cards seem off. A lot of those cards seem powerful. 16 damage won't replace super-collider, but the fact that if there were 3 weakened minions on the board at under 4 health, you could clear them and go face (Or not if you're not concerned about weapon removal). The old weapon that could attack as many times as it wanted but couldn't hit face wasn't 100% uncommon.

The pay 6 mana get a #armor amount minion is strong as you could easily summon a 10 cost minion at turn 6 (how bad was ramp druid in it's prime? nothing game breaking that most classes can't handle at turn 6, and it's still a strong play to be able to spend 6 mana on a 10 mana minion and still have 4 mana left.

Smolderthorn lancer is like execute (2 mana) on a 2 mana minion. Not horrible but will definitely see play.

Also, akali seems decent-> just because something is 8 mana doesn't mean all rush cards will already be drawn by then. If you play it on turn 8, you've been through 11 or more cards? Very likely to still have rush left in a rush deck, not to mention giving most rush cards a +5/+5 boost is huge. (people were annoyed by vicious scalehide being 4/4, what about 6/8 now? I'd say 4 in the sense that for sure decks will be built to use it. I am old-school and prefer charge but something with 5/5 (even low cost minions) become "need to deal with" quickly.

posted a message on Kaladin's Rastakhan Review

I'm gonna disagree with Revenge of the Wild  as a 2 (I'd say 3.5) only because I could see it used with Unleash the Hounds/Scavenging Hyena (and rush minions) as a combo and I'm sure there are more combo's I'm not seeing. I'm not calling it a 5 by any means, I just think there will be found some nice combos with it that'll make resummoning beasts that died very strong. I originally was only thinking about it being used if King Krush was still on the board but you'd basically need to trade it into something , resummon one using revenge- possibly trade that as well (and how often are you down that big on the board and can trade 2 of them?) in order to revenge for 2 mana getting 2 king krush's for 2 mana. That being said, I think hunter will head toward the yogg like decks that zul'jin will bring with it.

Since I said one disagree, I'll definitely agree with your baited arrow take. Isn't Flanking Strike only 4 mana for 3 damage and a guaranteed 3/3? so you're paying 1 mana for a conditional 5/5 (gain or 2/2)= meh. Also Farraki Battleaxe- what's up with 5 mana for 3 damage items. That's not so great on turn 5... although I wonder if that will count as a buff for quest paladin reasons. [edit]

As for mage- splitting image is basically 3 mana, make your minion sticky. Worth it for high cost minions, not for low cast (as much).

Also for The Beast Within, I'm not sure if these "force attack" cards will count as their turn attacking or not... part of me thinks if you could attack a minion/face and then play it, it'd allow for 2 attacks in a turn so I wouldn't be surprised if it's a tricky way to say get say a Scavenging Hyena to clean some taunt out of the way and then damage to face.

As for Immortal Prelate, I think this will be the 2nd most card to build around paladin with shirvallah being #1.

Good review, I don't have time to dig more but lot of similar thoughts to what I was thinking. Surprisingly looking forward to this one, whereas 1/2 of the card reveals in, I wasn't even going to pre-order.

This is pretty decent with: auctioneer AND new druid legendary, as you can punch face multiple things. You still have plenty of armor with branching paths.

That or they're still trying to make decks that could use savagery.

posted a message on HUGE Rotation in 2019

I'm glad some of the annoying cards will leave though... I didn't mind caverns as I don't play 20 games a day to see it as much as others do. I enjoyed tinkering with it for probably 20 games total... it was basically my stop dropping ranks play (when elemental shaman (with evolve) wasn't going so well... or taunt warrior).

I forgot about the taunt warrior deal but I'll definitely miss that as well.

Last time I was sad to see the evolve go. Now I think I'll miss some of the elemental synergy that came around with un'goro. I enjoyed murloc quest (granted I played it when meta was shifting to warlock control beats everything) but it was something different. Now I'm hoping more quality thief rogue cards come out.

I'll definitely agree that meta after we lose a lot of these staples (like tar creeper) seems to speed up until the top tier decks come around.
How powerful will shudderwock be now? I think it still has it's core minus the duplication of Saronite Chain Gang. To be determined.

Maybe immunity to spells would be better, otherwise a hex would undo that hard work... or silence.
