Hearthstone World Championships Disqualifications
A few competitive players have recently been permanently banned from Hearthstone and Blizzard has made their announcement about it. Don't win trade, bot, or buy / sell accounts and you should be good!
Quote from AratilWe take the competitive landscape and fair play very seriously - A fun, fair, and competitive environment is at the very heart of the Hearthstone experience. Those found to be in violation of our Terms of Use are subject to penalties, up to and including disqualification from the Hearthstone World Championship. Specific examples of such violations can include but are not limited to win trading, botting, and account buying or selling.
A list of players that have been disqualified from the Hearthstone World Championship 2015 can be found below.
XzaM -- Wintrading
Alchemixt -- Wintrading
Naiman -- Wintrading
Damnery -- Wintrading

I wonder how blizzard even catches win trading. There's no chat so how do players even decide to do it...
It's called transparency. If they didn't name the players, people would accuse them of doing this stuff covertly. It's not about naming and shaming, it's about justice being seen.
It's more about saying these players were banned from HWC. If there was no qualifying period that directly involved blizzard, they probably would not have named them. In this case, when blizzcon qualifiers rolls around, people would be asking "Hey, where is this person? They were top 16 in a season." It just makes sense to publish a "banned" list just like how there are banned for life lists for Magic and Yugioh and other games.
Wintrading, one of the most annoying things in the game in my opinion.
wintrading kind of implies you get something in return, a la "trade", here you're just losing and getting nothing but your L
if this was wintrading, i'd have been banned a loooong time ago haha
Were their accounts banned?
According to Alchemixt's twitter the answer is yes
Win trading? Justice demands retribution, etc.
Good to see that Blizzard takes cheating seriously - I mean, I don't know why they wouldn't, but this is just the first time I've seen them take action against wintrading. I suppose we already saw what would happen to botters, when they're caught.
Serves them right....who ever they are...
So much for what Alchemixt said "happened".
Did I break any of Blizzard’s rules? – Yes
Did I do it intentionally? – No
Was I being malicious, seeking or inadvertently getting any sort of competitive advantage, or did I have any bad intentions? – No
1) How to unintentionally win trade? You either use two of your account to push yourself ahead or use a friend whoopts inthe same time to push you forward. Not possible to win trade unintentionally.
2) How not to get any competitive advantage if you advance in ranking? Always means youare harming at least one person who is pushed out due to his cheating.
Blizzard does it the right way. It does not matter who you are, the moment you avuse or cheat its done for you forever. All those player should be banned as soon as possible.
"I am Naiman, the legendary hunter" HAH
what is wintrading?
kerrigan is free this week yay
" I AM THE SWARM"
Wintrading means intentional match-fixing.
how?
I dont know how. Probably something like " You pay me money, i give you free win".
How do u do that in rank? Is matchmaking really that broken.?
And i am asking myself.why a pro player to do something like this?
Also playing at ranks 9-5 at late late night it's always nice cause there's no aggro decks most of the times.
