Naxxramas Card Recap
With the addition of today's card, we're now up to a total of 11 known cards from Naxxramas, 6 of which are class cards. Check out the previously announced cards below!
Awwww...gimme a big hug!
Will a Baron Rivendare, trigger deathrattle twice, make 4 copies of a minion show up?
Also, kinda worried about what happens if I play against a Rogue with a coldlight oracle style deck. If my secret goes off, on my typically large Mage Hand (Control), and I get to 10 cards, I would lose my next card draw, plus be subject to more card losses from a coldlight...
One more thing: If an AoE is done to my board, and I lose 3 minions in one shot, do I get 6 cards in my hand? Or only the first one that dies? How would that be decided (which card died first)?
Most likely the decision of what procs will be the first played rule that applies to deathrattles. So the oldest card on your board should be the card the triggers the secret.
This will be a pretty good turn 3 play (or turn 2 with coin) for a Kirin Tor Mage. Play the minion, then the secret is free. When he dies, you can play him 2 more times with more free secrets. Much better tempo this way than if you spend the full 3 mana on this secret by itself.
I forgot about Kirin Tor Mage, Staying on curve then dropping more secrets with the new copies seems really strong.
Soo... Will you stupid whinners start to annoy the mage forum again? I think that card is the worse of all classes we have seen until now...
Don't forget that you can not trigger this yourself. That should be considered when debating how "OP" this is.
Exactly. Also, since I believe your oldest played creature will be the one duplicated after a board clear, this increases the skill necessary to play the card (which I think is fitting for mage).
Do you have games that go this deep into the lategame? Seems a bit rediculous. It's not like you can play rag and duplicate on the same turn anyways (coin not included).
(Or you might have a sorcerer's apprentice on play)
I like it. Its basically Arcane Intellect on a minion. For aggro, it can re-fill hands. For control, it can multiply value legendaries.
The question for aggro becomes if it's worth it or not. With Arcane Intellect I have the cards in hand immediately instead of risking it doesn't trigger on their turn.
The 1 benefit I see is that Duplicate actually increases the number of cards you have. As Aggro though you shouldn't be running out of cards anyway, so not sure if that is an advantage worth anything.
Though I guess it means you can use other secrets too in an aggro deck, cause this card helps disguise which secret you are playing, but I'm not sure that is a benefit to an aggro deck, when the goal is to kill a.s.a.p. not play mind games with your opponent and lose tempo.
Card seems great. Now you have to gamble between hitting their minions and triggering this or attacking the hero and running into vaporize.
I've never understood why cards have to be "balanced". I want a broken, no, shattered card or cards for when miracle rogue comes knocking. 3 rags? Yes please.
As if three rags would help you vs miracle rogue -.- if you get to the point in the game where you can play them, your opponent has already lost. Besides, this card is actually not that bad for miracle rogues with Sap. (Not that I dislike the card)
My Ethereal Secrets deck could really use this, although this is not as good as people think. It's kind of like a wonky, delayed Arcane Intellect. This would only be OP if secrets still triggered on your turn.
Wow and I thought the Druid card was OP. This one is just breaking the game over it's knee.
Even one free copy on death would be good but two? Good lord...
So I guess this card will cause you to have to be a little bit more careful with the order you play you minions if you would like to have the secret up as AoE protection. I am assuming only the first minion played gets returned.
Love it when people cry unbalanced and OP before they've even played with the card.
I really like the direction blizzard is going in with mage secrets. Having so many possibilities just makes secrets stronger by making it harder to guess which one you've played. Currently secret decks aren't viable but they may be soon!
How is the rarity not epic?
