my dude, this year we had lots of paladin archetypes played at high legend:
mechano egg/(deathrattle)
odd paladin
even paladin
otk uther
holy wrath
secret paladin
(not sure if murloc paladin was played)
half of them are not aggro and require 1 or 2 key class cards (mechano egg, kangor, uther, shirvallah) that are not in the classic set. what im trying to say is that you dont require a whole bunch of cards to make a non-aggro archetype to work
I think these nerfs are kind of weird - I commented on the article and got downvoted to oblivion within like 9 seconds.
So I'll say it here:
Saronite is a weird nerf. I've never experienced the card to be oppressive, if it gets buffed and duplicates, it gets buffed and duplicates. The Warlock Omega card is virtually the same mechanic, so wtf is going on here.
Wild Growth - I hate druid, but it's a class identity card, didn't need a nerf. So is Nourish, but I don't think that nerf is anywhere near as bad as the T2 one for Druid, and now leaves a clear open slot for a few months for prince K.
Level Up! - sad that it'll be leaving my Odd Mech Pally build, but I sure as hell am going to have it in my already OP Even Pally deck. A better nerf would've been +2(or +1)/+1 and no taunt. Make it easily clearable.
Leeching Poison - Ok this one makes sense, decent nerf, but will probably be leaving Kingsbane Rogue players foaming at the mouth.
These are WEIRD nerfs. I think it's the first time I've complained about nerfs outside of the Tess one. Saronite just blows my mind. How did Saronite get picked over so many other cards that are so much more broken?
Saronite isnt the problem, shudderwock is. Level up isnt as powerful in even as in odd, even paladin doesnt swarm the board easily like odd paladin.
Played Odd Druid, MIdrange Hunter, and Spell Hunter today. Here are my thoughts on some of the new cards:
Gonk, the Raptor is highly matchup dependent. Against stuff like Odd Paladin hes insane, but against decks like Deathrattle Hunter that run mostly big minions its unplayable. Also works slightly better when you can combo him with upgraded hero power + Claw. 5/10
Wardruid Loti is exactly what I thought she'd be: mediocre. Sure, shes ok in most situations, but thats it. Just ok. And in constructed, you need to do better than that. Its probably too early to say she won't see play, but I don't think she'll make the cut in most decks. 4/10
Halazzi, the Lynx can bring back MIdrange Hunter by herself imo. Its great value that isn't a complete tempo loss like Deathstalker Rexxar. Beast Hunter is definently going to be at least a tier 2 deck, imo. 9/10
Last thing: Odd Mage is insane. It just seems like a better version of the current Big Spell Mage. Wow.
Zul'jin doesn't impress me that much, honestly. Maybe its because the only times i've used it so far were against odd/control mage, but it just seems really slow. I also don't like how you can't really play it if you already have rexxar, because oftentimes against control they just play a removal spell and clear all your beasts (and of course they're never going to trigger the secrets anyway). I'm sure its great against faster decks, but so far I don't see it being OP or anything. 6/10
He was playing fibonacci's mechathun warrior, then he played Harrison Jones and conceded immediatly. I typed "that deck belongs to the museum" and got banned. I made a bad HS pun and got banned.

I said "half of them are not aggro", read carefully next time.

These nerfs make absolute sense.

Its really sad to get your legendaries Kingsbane and Grumble, Worldshaker trashed and only get refund for a common and a rare.
I'm happy with the nerfs, these nerfs are healthy for the game, but not healthy for my budget.

I got nothing but a second copy of Crystallizer and Dead Man's Hand. I should have known since I open packs from an expansion until I get a legendary.

Agree, Wardruid Loti is the 30th card.

I've seen hunters play Flare [/card] and a quest priest playing [card]Chief Inspector to counter Zul'jin. Quite funny.
Hex Lord Malacrass is so much fuel in my Book of Specters deck.
Flark's Boom-Zooka + Revenge of the Wild it's a swing turn but honestly is Deathstalker Rexxar the one doing the work. You can't really expect to consistently draw the combo in hunter.
Bazooka paladin is really fun but grindy.

You could try to make them work.
The other option is letting them sit (at least 3 weeks) until you figure out which legendary you need for a good/meta deck and dust them.

What about the guaranteed legendary in the first 10 packs?
You just omit that information? Was it 3 legendaries in 107 packs?
0
thats literally impossible

Nah, odd paladin already has decent cards and a high winrate.
If you give it more tools it will feel unfair like even paladin before the call to arms nerf.

He later said that the deck was bad.
Now I only watch zalae, firebat and purple.
