You mention mana cheating... what about emperor T? He's basically the only reason I'd play wild (aside from old fun evolve shaman). He does mana cheat but most people kill him after one turn- rarely does he live to give someone 2 turns of reducing mana cost.
I'd say Blizz doesn't typically do much regarding wild- most nerfs/adjustments are for standard. I don't think it'd affect them as much as they think it would to say nerf barnes to pulling any minion 8 mana or less but then everyone with that set would get an auto 1600 if they haven't been using him already. Hard to say. They've been enjoying nerfing critical cards without nerfing the big legendary ones (like leeching instead of kingsbane) so I doubt they'll put much into that now. MAYBE at the start of the new year if there's enough complaints about wild.
Sorry, but i see the issue is far more difficult. First: the worst offender in wild even shaman is not mudspark eel, not Totem Golem, heck not even the fricking 4 mana 7/7, no, the worst offender is a card that we had since vanilla and was also an issue in the time before again and again and again. It's Flametongue Totem. This card makes the totems that you summon into deadly weapons, able to destroy everything in their way. Flametongue is the real problem of Even Shaman.
Odd-Rogue has another issue that was never fixed and existed since vanilla, but did become insane after MSG: Southsea Captain. The +1/+1 was already an issue in Murloc Warleader and was fixed there. The most important nerf is to remove the health-gain, instead give pirates only 1 attack. But change it that it gains itself a +1 attack too, then it's mostly fair.
And Barnes: Nerf it, simply and fixed. Barnes is an offender, and Big Priest without barnes is still strong, but no longer unfair. Barnes is the most important offender; if big priest then is still too strong, then we can see, but for now: nerf barnes to cost 6 mana, FIXED!
First time someone said some really constructive and intelligent, first time I agree with someone in my life too. I enjoy the nerfs
Lol doesn't mention reno. Honestly all matchups seem fair and fairly balanced except big priest. It reminds me if the huge value from pre nerf kingsbane with the difference that it can beat aggro unlike kingsbane and yet they killed it but let b7g priest go free.
Ive been playing wild and the deck i would nerf first would be big priest. Kingsbane was keeping it under control now its crazy. I would say putting barnes at 6 mana would suffice but maybe let it be but instead nerf obsidian statue. Its actually the reason the deck can be run cause vs aggro they need a comeback in terms of health and this one provides it with removal at the same time. Doesn't seem balanced. Also its a slot machine deck. Ive played it. Its boring always the same matches no decisions to be made. Ez wins and rolling barnes on turn 4 or 3 coin gives u 80% wr.
Balanced
THANK YOU. I said first week of Frozen Throne that big priest was the worst thing to ever happen to H.S. and that obsidian statue is one of the top 3 worst designed cards followed by Prince KelesethEmperor Thaurissan and Jade Idol, and Voidcaller/Skull of the Man'aari. They could nerf statue, but I'd rather they just get rid of the whole thing. Nothing is fun or redeemable about coin flip kill RNG. Idk what they were thinking. The freaking unit in WC3 it's based on has NOTHING to do with its design either.
More cheats will be released as the game goes on. HS is still relatively young. And wild is even younger.
I want to agree with this, but with the power level of RR in comparison to sets like KnC, and Mean Streets, both sets meant to close out their respective years, I feel like the power creep is going to be a lot slower, and it might mean that we don't get to see these cheats again, or if we do it's going to be like Jan'alai, where the card is so slow that it won't see much actual play in terms of Wild. I'm hopeful we will get something powerful down the line, but I doubt it for a decent while.

Not certain if this is aimed at me or someone else, but I'm just going to respond to it regardless.
Emp. T isn't really mana-cheating, he's a discount, which is different, cheating is being able to play powerful cards for way less than usual, the most recent show of this has to be Grumble (especially combined with Shudderwock), being able to play multiple minions for a second time at only a single mana per minion is very powerful, though Eureka is also a decent example as it allows you to put a powerful minion from your hand into play (sort of).
On the other hand, discounts, like Sorcerer's Apprentice, Radiant Elemental, and Emp. T are not actually cheating because it's a small discount (usually), they can be abused, like with Mage Exodia's and getting multiple Thaurissan discounts on a hand full of powerful cards, but they are not cheating when it's only one mana, it's when it discounts large amounts of mana in a single burst is when it hits cheating levels.
