I voted for Surly Puffer because it has a somewhat unique mechanic and flavor.
I'm not a fan of having these types of cards in the game because they punish you for having a game plan. Divine Favour, for example, punishes you for trying to win through card advantage. Mind Control Tech punishes you for trying to win by having lots of minions. They are both high on my list of least liked cards in the game.
Hearthstone games are more interesting when both players are countering their opponents game plan with their own. I believe that's the reason silence was nerfed.
The rules which were written down were as follows:
Your card must be a spell
Your card must contain at least 3 of the same number on the card
The number can be numeric (1, 2, 3 etc.) or alphabetic (one, two, three etc.)
From the above, I think it's completely reasonable for someone to assume that numbers in the cards title are allowed. It's pretty clear; The rules do not specify in anyway where the numbers can occur. If I had my time again, I might have banned numbers in the title but it simply didn't occur to me. But that's beside the point. The card was valid.
I'd love to hear feedback on my theme. I thought the theme might be good because Blizzard likes to print cards with consistency built into them. I have a feeling the restriction was perhaps a bit harsh in hindsight.
As for the cards I voted for Rain of Fire and Starsurge. Rain of Fire because I'm trying desperatly to make discard lock work. Starsurge because I like the potential gameplay decisions. Eg. Do I try to fit in a wild growth on turn 6? Nourish for mana instead of cards?
@DatboiEow I think your card should have counted as the rules were given. However using 'One' in the title was against my original intent for the theme. The theme was designed to give creators a mechanical restriction, not aesthetic.
@kegs: I'm sorry but I can't decide. They're both good but not spectacular. Perhaps the dragon is more thematic.
@Mentat Canis: I really like the double choose one of Druids Path. Make it 3 mana and it would be balanced I think. Wild Growth (gain an empty mana crystal) is 2 mana. You can use 'a' or 'an' to represent '1' and count towards the restriction. With modifications I would vote for it.
@NoveX0R: I like call of the Pupies (Fix the Spelling) best. I think the others are OP and not as thematic.
@Livienna: I like the card. Might be OP (not sure)....actually maybe its fine. Maybe better fit in another class which has more of a single target removal identity (not druid). Also, your card could be a different mana cost and be legal because your use of 'an' would count as '1'. Keep that in mind.
@ThisotherguyTox I'm not a mod but I was the person who set the theme. I believe that it should count if the use of 'a' can be substituted for '1'. For example I think that maelstorm portal should count (deal 1 damage to all enemy minions. Summon a (one) random 1 cost minion). But ultimately it's up to the mods to decide.
@BruceGuemao: Welcome! I hope you enjoy the competition.
So your cards: The first 2 have 'For the next (X) turns' effects. These effects currently don't exist in the game (probably for UI reasons or because it may become complex). Not to say that they can't but I'd be careful using it.
Bloodfury: Interesting but this card would only be used to attack the enemy hero and I don't think that's what you want.
Discharge: This should be a spell. When considering which class to make a card, think of which class has similar mechanics to the one your creating. In this case, dealing damage to your own hero is a warlock thing.
Treacherous Gunman: Again, seems like a warlock card .

The Pokemon:
This is my take on the starting pokemon of Kanto.

@CogitoErgoSum: I personally like Archangel the best. It's a pretty cool mechanic. potentially could have 1 extra stat. Reverberate is cool as well.

Gul'dan is sick of getting bad minions every expansion. Time to take matters into his own hands.
