Things like the tuned-up Mage that beats Paladin fairly well and the Druid deck just came up in the past few days. And they'll nerf Paladin this week or next. It's not like when Secret Paladin was around for 8 months (and even that was far from the worst meta).
I've returned to playing after 4 1/2 years. And sought out this thread I remembered so fondly to say please delete the Death Knight class. 85% of people are playing this broken class. Control decks that out-damage other classes' aggro decks and aggro decks that outheal other classes' control decks. The game would be much-improved if not for this ridiculous and obvious money grab.
Blizz will not care if streamers are leaving HS, because Blizz showed time and time again (last with the cancel of the tournament mode), that they only care about the absolute low level plebs and new players. Blizz will not react at all and will change nothing! :D
This is true. The Blizzard priority is new players, then returning players, then casual players and drooling idiots, with long-term, invested players last. That type of player craves the next challenge, and Hearthstone has not delivered that. Understandable that many look elsewhere to find it.
The game needs balance changes. The same meta for four months is unbearable. Even if everything is deemed "balanced" and "diverse", the staleness is unacceptable for a format they claim is "constantly evolving".
The Classic cards could give a little freshness. Instead, they're the laziest design imaginable.
"We don't know what do to with Wild"...that explains why it is, has been, and always will be a joke format. And since there are two whole formats to choose from...
Speaking of the above, not surprised on tournament mode. The spaghetti coders couldn't re-use an interface from 2013, so they have no idea how to do it.
With all this "good" news, they plug a pointless change to the Welcome Bundle and another paid promotion to get another hero. I'm all for promotions and making cosmetics available, I buy most of them, but I'm not going to collect the pretty pictures if I feel like the game stinks.
Keleseth. Increasing a deck's win rate by 14% on turn 2 if you happen to have drawn it is stupid. Make it do something as niche as the other two Prince cards. They learned from this when they made Baku and Genn.
Most is Warrior. Control is always fun, but some of the mid-range/tempo were always my favorite. Not as big on quest or pirate.
Least is Priest. We all know why.
Most of the others really depend on archetypes over class. Like a lot of the stupid Druid stuff has always been frustrating, but something like the current token is pretty cool. And a lot of the Rogue stuff has always been sweet, but mill and Kingsbane decks are aids. Warlock has been fun historically with handlock and Malylock, but zoo only rarely isn't a brainless peasant deck.
Hearthstone's move will not be to change pricing. The people most interested in Artifact are traditional CCG and competitive players. Hearthstone could go completely free and that wouldn't change a thing to them. The pricing structure for Artifact is appealing to CCG players - it behaves like traditional CCGs.
If Hearthstone was concerned about keeping these players, their move would result in costs increasing , not decreasing. Doing that would lose far more of their base market than it would retain/recover.
Another meta where bots or people dumber than bots flood the ladder with zoo and tempo mage. I thought Standard was supposed to have constant change. These same idiot-proof decks around 80% of the time isn't change just because the pretty pictures on a few of the cards are different.
Another meta where people bitch about the cost of the game, but is actually chock full of zoo, the brainless peasant deck full of (not) interesting minions and (not) fun spells. And if you don't play that you can play Hearthstone Solitaire Suite, OTK edition.
Did the mega bundle, seemed like a decent offer. Usually I go all in with 250+ packs, but so far I'm unimpressed, and I'm miserable trying to play the game in the current meta, so I'll wait a few weeks before buying any more.
They game used to be kind of fun, right? It could now not get any more boring. I can't even watch it anymore. The rules are simplistic; do something with mechanics beyond legendary spells, something any drooling idiot thought of within two minutes of picking up the game. It currently has nothing compelling over rock paper scissors besides fancy graphics.

This is my answer. No other card made me instantly concede turn 1 dozens of times because it would not be an enjoyable game.
Quest: Play solitaire.
Reward: Win the game.

At least this one requires some thinking. Any drooling idiot can play Shudderwock.

To be the 4th or 5th to state it: no, because it's boring. Very balanced, sure. Slow, uninteresting, and tedious, much more so.

This is the most boring meta. I could go into detail about why, but even describing it is boring.
