After several cool reveals, now it's time for fillers for the next couple days. And then will be superhyped reveal of coolest stuff. Not every card could be awesome like guy, who destroys 1-mana spells...
Wild has Tunnel Trogg. Killer and filler are spelled similarly lel.
Troggzor was a decent card and wasn't able to be killed by BGH back then when it still was 3 mana. Troggzor's biggest problem was Dr. Boom. Why do you compare a warlock 2 drop with a neutral legendary anyways (?) .
Blood-Queen sounds kinda nice - but strange at the same time. We all experienced combo cards can get discarded.
Stancifka's recent deck showed Warlock has potential in the right hands. I would rather call it a Hearthstone problem or StarthandStone how I like to call it at this point, since a good aggro hand that curves out is hardly gonna lose. With the Spring rotation too many tools disappeared. I guess we need to wait until the Winter expansion to hopefully get more tools against swarm decks.
I mean look at the Shaman Hero Card. Everyone that lost 10 times to Evolve Shaman can understand this 5 MANA card is absolutely broken and I am still baffled people rant about Skulking Geist being so bad for Jade Druid. Geist is a big help against Evolve Shaman and a much needed card. I mean, who fears a Jade Druid that wins turn 10 when you lost against Evolve Shaman on turn 6 or 7..?
Warlock has cards like Syphon Soul. That is a very strong card, agreed? And that is a complete useless card at the same time against an evolving Shaman that can Evolve into 3 6 drops - with the new Hero abilities even further. The power levels of the classes are just unbalanced.
I am curious for the Warlock Hero Card. The demon theme kinda went off the radar. I would like to see something in that direction.
edit: Defile i like very much against flodded boards (maybe you can play a minion in between to fill the health gaps for combo).
I want to like it but I don't really. Obviously you want to buff it with Power Word: Shield or similar. Like others mentioned, I seriously would think about it whether Farseer isn't the better minion than Acolyte since the heal is guaranteed, immediate and can target individually, or even attack enemies with Auchenai.
I guess Lifesteal works like that, when the opponent kills it with a weapon or a bigger minion, you heal one time for 3?
Even if you face Jade Druid and you have Geist in your deck, you still need to draw and play it. I am sure some druids will play other stuff or even bounce a Jade creating minion, faceless Aya, replay her deathrattle somehow and so on. It wasnt the 1 mana spell that killed opponents, it was the full package. The deck didnt need 20 jades. 8-10 of them is enough as well.
But again, i am reading so many comments about Jade. My interest goes towards Evolve Shaman that could be a interesting battle since they went off at turn 6 many times.
Great, instead of balancing Jade Idol to be a proper card, Blizzard went full retard. Sigh...
Seriously! There are so many ways to make Jade Idol not so overpowered and yet not mess up a zillion fun combo decks!
Perhaps something like...
"Choose One- Summon a Jade Golum; or shuffle 3 (or 2!?) copies of this card into your deck at +1 mana cost"
Their answer is: Auctioneer goes to Hall of Fame. I mean not officially, but the hint was obvious. But even Auctioneer could be nerfed with "the first played spell at your turn draws a card". I mean it is good when changes happen, but kinda funny they need to change what they created and we payed for to play it.
It's a tech card in the way that Golokka Crawler is a tech card. You're not going to include both unless the ONLY decks you see are Jade and Pirate.
Whether to include 1 or 2 Golakka Crawler or 2 Geists is an individual decision, no? Or do you ask Kolento as well why he is running Ooze AND Jones in a deck :P
No one will run this shit when it only counters one deck. 4/6 for 6 do nothing unless you play agains jade druid. In that case destroy just one of their 10 Golem sources. Pfff.
Speak of yourself only. Golems over 10 are the real problem for my dragon priest deck. I can mostly manage to stage when there are only jade idols in druids deck ("fatigue"). And this card deals perfectly that problem. In addition it may take some other cards that have kept jade druid alive, like Earthen Scales which has been recently on all jade druid deck, there are some others too that I have seen in jade druids (Raven Idol, Neutralize.
4/6 on 6 is decent minion + it has the most efficient effect for the problem atm with my dragon priest. Clearly atm THE best card revealed so far.
Jade druid will definitely either change dramatically or disappear from the meta. You cannot draw any more towards fatigue as it will kill yourself faster.
I don't think Jade will disappear, just adapt. You don't need 20 Jade Idols in deck. Also 6/6 or 7/7 Jades can do enough damage because the enemy can't remove all of them - or spend all removals on Jades only but for the rest you run dry.
Interestingly, so many comments about Jade Druid. The deck I dislike the most is Evolve Shaman. That is going to be interesting to watch what will happen to these encounters, because the 5 mana 2/2's plus Evolve is right on par with the 6 mana Geist.
Even further: The Shaman Hero Card is another Evolve effect. I am really curious what is going to happen, because when I saw the 5 mana (which is the FAR cheapest powerful Hero Card of them) card I had a strange gut feeling about the meta.. 2 Evolve plus Hero Card evolve that pushes for 2 mana per minion is beyond crazy. Turn 7 a board full of 8 drops, dafuq man.
A big blow against Druid, but also Priest and Rogue. This has the potential to influence the meta pretty much imo. A welcome change.
Blow to Priest? What else do you have in every Priest deck except of Power Word: Shield? Potion of Madness, ok. But that isn't a card I put in every Priest deck tbh.
In general interesting discussion whether players will include cards like Potion of Madness at all. It can go both ways:
Everybody thinks, oh no, there surely gonna be tons of Geist. I don't play Jades or Potion of Madness. - but in the end nobody is playing Geist because all think Geist is a staple and you don't need to run it yourself anymore.
And from this point on, people start to actively play Jade because everybody thinks the Geist thingy is over (or a given) and you randomly run into Jade Druids and randomly queue into decks with Geist again.
I am not sure whether Aggro Druid spells or Upgrade will disappear because of that card. They can do a lot before turn 6. I mean, you still have to draw and play Geist. It doesn't read, kill everything that is buffed by 1 mana spells.
But yeah, I like the idea that Pirate Warriors need to think (aggro need to think, goofy sound) if they want to buff a Reaper weapon, because things like buffed Reaper and Jades up from 6/6 and beyond are just lackluster and far unhealthier for the meta than Geist.
I think I will try to run Far Sight and Bright-Eyed Scout just to get Geist in play earlier :P
Many people voted meta-defining, but actually I find this card difficult to rate. Meaning: OK, it's great against jade druid, and can be good against a few other archetypes, but also will be bad against all the rest.
IMHO how much this will be played will depend on the shape the meta takes, i.e. how frequent will be the decks it's good against. On the other hand, this card's mere existence will contribute to shape the meta, so in that sense yes, it'll be meta-defining but not because it's OP or it'll be auto-include in every deck for months.
Guess we'll see some sort of hide-and-seek between decks including this and decks countered by this, at least for the first few weeks, or until an equilibrium is reached.
I find Skulking Geist kinda destructive. The more Evolve and Jade Druid are on ladder the more people will play Geist and will also hit other decks with it. But at the same time I firmly believe seeing so many Shaman and Druids it is ok to run Geist to stop that train. There is nothing more annoying than losing against the same mechanic again and again.
I am definitely placing 2 Geists in many decks. The body isn't that bad and 4 attack is annoying against Priest. The body and effect might look weak at first glance, but when you stop snowballed Evolve minions and Jade synergy, it might be worth it after all.
This is of course meta defining countering hard many meta decks, specially Jade Idol
Also I think should be a great card fo paladin buff in order to erase your small spells from your deck when your quest is done.
Some Jade druids maybe will add Nerubian Unraveler in order to counter this cards
You can't really counter Geist since it destroy's 1 mana costed spells in hands and decks. Unraveler just raises the cost you need to pay when you want to play a spell.

How can you hate that card. You didn't play it once lel.

They pushed Azure Drake to Hall of Fame because it limited design space for 5 drops. Now they release Geist for 6.
It is just funny we buy cards that they remove later on anyways..

Why narrowing it down to Divine Shield? Deathrattle can also be decent. Or Murloc Warleader.
I start to believe running additional Silence could be decent in KoFT.
