Patches is a mainstay in any rogue deck so you would ideally want to craft him ASAP. But for now, you can replace him with either a hungry crab or voodoo doctor.

The backstab was removed for a Glacial Shard...doing so increased the winrate by about 3 percent.

Yes, i'll update the guide once I hit Legendary with this deck. I am currently hovering around rank 3.  As for Xaril, he's there as a psuedo-conceal, psuedo-draw engine. All four of the possible cards he can give you cost 1 mana and can be fed to your Gadgetzan/Van Cleef/ Questing engine. Having to extra spells also lets you get your arcane golems faster. Likewise you often burn half your hand on an early van cleef/questing combo (as you should, as its a reliable way of "checking" your opponents hand and getting a possible early concede). With Xaril you can get back into the game as you get effectively "draw" two cards that you can use to draw more cards with Gadgetzan. In summary, you play Xaril for the combo and comeback mechanic he provides you.

I'll preface this that I am currently at a 70 percent win-rate with this deck from rank 10 to 5. This deck plays differently from standard miracle rogue and you have to adjust your play style accordingly to win. Your main concern appears to playing against "polymorph, hex or meteor" which leads me to believe you are struggling against control decks. Against control you have to over-run the board turn 7, 8, or 9 with your (Gadgetzan/Mimic pod + Questing/Van Cleef) combo. Before then you are generally aiming to maintain board parity by keeping it as clear as possible. You also want to try to bait out the key removal (polymorph, hex) with your van cleef/questing. Note that you shouldn't be going all-in against control. Sometimes I have 6 mana and a hand full of 1 drops, but I just dagger up and end my turn because it's not the time to play my hand.

To win against control decks, remember that they only have so X amount of mana to spend in a given turn and can only deal Y amount of damage with it. Volcano can deal 15 damage, but if you have 30 health worth of minions on the board (two arcane golems and questing) in the same turn, you win.

It is very tempting with this deck to go all-in since 18 cards cost less than 2 mana. But against control the best strategy is usually just to wait until you can cycle all the combo cards you'd spend.

If you're facing decks with AoE, you're probably in the ladder with a concentrated amount of control decks. In which case I highly recommend taking out one healbot and replacing it for Lotheeb. You can play lotheeb, do some damage, then shadowstep him the following turn, then play him in conjunction with either one or two addicts turn 9 or 10. Then you can play Gadetzan and cycle through for lethal, or if you already have enough cards in hand, go for lethal without that.

    • Shadowstep: 1) Shadow step Azure Drakes when you need spell power/card draw the following turn. 2) shadowstep Healbots when you need health. 3) Shadowstep bloodmage thalnos when you need spell power the following turn. 4) Shadowstep Gadetzan when you need to set up a conceal combo the following turn. 5) Shadowstep mana addict when you have gadetzan/conceal in your hand and need to play a 0 mana addict to set up lethal. 6) Shadowstep Si7s when you need extra removal on the field.

Compared to regular Burstdown: Shadowstep addict, auctioneer, Leeroy. As you can see, this deck actually is MORE reliant on shadowstep.

    Glad you like the deck.

Generally I play addict when I have conceal for it, or when I can get away with playing it without conceal. This is usually vs paladin/handlock before turn 4.

Wispect is the deck I currently main. Like you said, meta is very aggro and you need a deck that can deal with it. Burstdown is more for dealing with control.

Basically, vs control you play like a miracle deck. Stall until you have Gadetzan and then try to overwhelm the enemy with big minions. Vs aggro, mulligan for combo peices and try to get a big ban cleef/questing out on the field.

Mana addicts are far superior to questing adventurer. A mana addict can setup lethal by itself, whereas a questing adventurer cannot. Questing costs 1 more mana as well, and shadowsteping him to get him in conceal with Gadetzan is just awkward since he still costs 1 mana after shadowstep.

Sorry - the decklist was a bit off, but it's fixed now.

One sap is usually enough unless you're facing a lot of Handlock and Druids. In which case I suggest putting a second one in.
