Dr. Boom, Mad Genius
There is definitely some questions about how this card works, so here's the deal!
- Dr. Boom's Hero Power is randomized every turn. It randomizes on your opponent's turn so they can see what to expect.
- You can never get the same hero power in a row.
- Dr. Boom does not appear in the Arena.
These are his different emotes.
- Greetings: "Here comes the BOOM!"
- Well Played: "You. You're good."
- Thanks: "Thanks! I'll destroy you last."
- Wow: "NICE!"
- Oops: "Huh. Failure IS an option."
- Threaten: "Don't make me push buttons!"
Here are his five different hero powers.
Puzzle Lab
The Puzzle Lab will become available starting August 21.
When you experience The Boomsday Project’s free single-player content, The Puzzle Lab, you’ll discover that science is fun! And dangerous! Not necessarily in that order! You’ll need to get your security clearance before you can gain access to these secrets, though.
New Gameboard
New Card Backs
Below are two new card backs for The Boomsday Project. A pre-purchase exclusive back featuring Mech Jaraxxus and a card back available through the solo PVE content, Puzzle Labs.
He could be, but with so many Puzzle Lab quests I would imagine it is a similar story to Dungeon Run and Monster Hunt bosses, where many of them do have a legendary card but most don't.
Here's hoping magnetic isn't just a gimmick. Also, I hate to say it, but Mecha Jaraxxus is just fugly.
Personally i think Mecha J is the best looking hero the game has. Jaraxxus was already awesome, with specially badass emotes, and Mecha J simply raises the quality by being a cyborg.
Also, apparently a lot of people, really a lot find Mecha J impressive, considering the absurd amount of whine threads in the Hearthpwn and official HS forums regarding the impossibility to obtain our favorite demon in any other way.
But hey, to each his own. Guldan is just ok, and i never liked Nemsy. To me, Mecha J is in the top 3 best heroes together with Anduin because bming, and Uther because WELL MET!!!
P.S.: Valeera is the runner up because reasons :D
My wet dream is a magnetic weapon. Kingsbane revival.
Even though I'm not a fan of gnomes, I think "Hehe, you'd make a cute puppet" is the best BM. I love Lord J's voice lines but wish he didn't have to compete with the other two warlocks
The interact with Electra and Myra is pretty understandable: "the rest of your deck" means whatever is left in your deck so casting Myra twice would just mean you draw 0 cards if there are 0 cards in your deck.
Myra and Fal'dorei Strider-esque effects are also pretty logical: Those effects trigger only when you draw a card, so if you go to 10 cards and continue drawing with Myra, the cards you would draw after 10 do not trigger because you are overdrawing. The question of if I draw the rest of my deck but the last cards are a Fal'dorei Strider-esque effects, do I overdraw, is answered by yes you overdraw. The FS effect is a separate draw effect so it does not count toward the "rest of the deck" effect.
The Silence a mech question is most likely yes it just loses the stats and effect. Magnetic is basically you can cast this minion as a minion or as a buff spell like Blessing of Kings for example, so any buff would be removed from silence.
Electra probably overloads twice right, because it casts the spell twice and casting a card with overload causes you to overload.
If Electra works like Brann, where the target for the effect/spell is the same, then it only kills 2 minions.
Electra with Myra: from a coding perspective i would say that should be more
while (deck.size() > 0) {
draw(1);
}
rather than
int cardsToBeDrawn = deck.size();
draw(cardsToBeDrawn);
19k gold :3 that testing account :3
I prefer my account ;)
I see Puzzle Lab is confirmed to be a ladder dungeon just like Frozen Throne. THANK YOU.
It's pretty different isn't it? You can hit any of the 4 puzzle types, but you need to beat each puzzle in each type in order. It's really not much like a dungeon.
Shouldn't Omega Defender be a mech?
Don't worry, they'll fix that in their next batch of Card Consistency fixes, in two years.
There is goblin inside, so no. The reason it is not a mech is probably that it would have too strong synergies with future cards.
It's part of the latnemele tribe.
Piloted Sky Golem, Sneed's Old Shredder, and Piloted Shredder would like to have a word...
It looks like it's piloted, I think mechs supposed to be autonomous.
I'm not sure but looks like a piloted GOLEM would still go without a pilot. But a mech suit type wouldn't?
Most likely a balance decision.
If we buy two bundles we got two golden legendarys or just one?
If you buy both pre-purchase packs, you will receive 2 golden legendarys of the "The Boomsday Project" expansion. One per pre-purchase (the rewards of the packs stack up on each other, except the card back).
