Well, this is not material for salty thread, i was just wondering as i faced the seventh mage in a row playing ladder yesterday.... Don't they have too much stuff in a way they abuse the discover mechanic and the get random spell text ? My point being there's little to no counterplay to that, you can't play around almost infinite burn/value (8 mana Pyroblast, 5 mana Flamestrike and Firelands Portal and so on) or 4-5 ice blocks a game, not to mention the often 5 or 6 attack Mana Wyrm.
That being said, do you think something should be done about it ? if yes, what would you do ?
Is Mana Wyrm an issue? Nope. It has been there since the beginning and is easy to deal with.
The discover mechanic is now particulary strong for lot of classes (think of Paladin and Shaman with Stonehill Defender) but that is because the card's pool is actually pretty limited after the rotation of the Year of the Mammoth. It will fix itself while new sets come out so that many different choices will show up.
Mage can "abuse" more of discover just because it has lots of cards with that effect in comparison with the other classes.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
It certainly feels that way when they Ice Block 3-4 turns in a row, and you and your army of minions can do nothing but sit there as you get burned and pinged to death. That might be the most frustrating way to die in the game.
not really, i can seriously bet that most of the mage decks you are facing are secret mage ,you are probably facing that bunch of secret mages because it's currentlly the cheapest high tiered deck, it doesn't need any legendary card and uses Primordial Glyph as the only epic/expensive card in the most budget builds, while things like token shamman, pirate warrior and token druid use, not in any particular order: Leeroy Jenkins, Patches the Pirate, Living ManaBittertide HydraFinja, the Flying StarMurloc Warleader and Southsea Captain, that's a lot of Purple and orange and things like patches don't really attract the eye of players on a budget because he's a 1/1 and we've already seem that dilemma before with Bloodmage Thalnos.

There's like a million other threads about this... does it mean mags is broken? Nope. There are a ton of decks that counter it and some techs.
I exist, I think.
Dunno about strong.
Mage nowadays is definitely ANNOYING, with tons of freeze and secrets (enhanced by glyph).
