Depending on how expensive this is gonna be for free 2 play players, it might be better than hearthstone, the most expensive ccg around the globe. I won‘t donate but I‘ll give it a try
If you consider physical card games, (which are tcg, but is almost the exact same as ccg), hearthstone has a bit of catching up to do compared to Yugioh, Pokemon (I think) and Magic. Hearthstone is definitely a pricy game though if you want all the top tier decks.
Every card game is extremely expensive if the want "all the top tier decks" because you're not supposed to be able to just get every single tier 1 deck for free easily. This is a concept that escapes your average brainlet mobile game player.
You do realize that was the point of my post right? Hearthstone isn't pricy unless you want several high end decks.
As for your insult at the end, you do realize I watch Rick and Morty right? You probably wouldn't understand as you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Rick’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick’s existential catchphrase “Wubba Lubba Dub Dub,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. πAnd yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid π
All memes aside, whats wrong with playing mobile games? Thats like saying "ha you are retarded for liking _____" simply because you do not like them.

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
Name one card game out there that isn't expensive, real or digital and I'll download it, (or buy booster packs, either way) right now!
Like every small indie online TCG ever? Hearthstone is the only digital card game that costs anything. I think Eternal or Gwent are the most generous ones but there's tons of these out there
I do not know this particular campaign but I backed a project that was supposed to ship the rewards in December; needless to say it's already April and the rewards (not all of them btw) were sent a few weeks ago. I guess we should expect to see this game released by Q4 2019.

except there is a different amounts to how expensive this card game can get compred to games like gwent and the Elder scroll card game herthstone is the most expansive that is a fact that most herthstone defender forget to meantion

So because it's not supposed to be free or easy to get, it should be extremely expensive instead? Where is your logic coming from...? I think you are incapable of properly describing something, or it has "escaped your average brainlet".

Reynad has enough money to fund this himself. Crowdfunding it makes me suspect. The video he produced is cringeworthy in the beginning. And the content itself didn't convince me why I'd want to invest in the production of the game. Reynad's a very good card player but that doesn't mean he knows how to design games (just like Michael Jordan was a great basketball player but that doesn't mean he's a great coach or owner). And I didn't hear anything in the video that convinced me that this new game would offer something particular different from other games. I hope he's successful with this venture but I'll pass on risking any money with it.
On a different note from the cost of the crowd fund, and despite my personal distaste for Reynad, the concept shown in the vid are fantastic.
Honestly, I would really like to try this game just based on play approach and art style. Looks very enjoyable and not a carbon copy of what's out there already.
Reynad also mentioned on stream yesterday that the 150k goal was to start the production and development 2-3 months earlier then planned. He also stated that overall the game would most likely cost $1.5-2 million to fully develop the game. Most of the money will come from tempostorm but he also said he will be doing more fundraisers in the future that will have rewards for backers. I won’t be donating but I believe that he can do what he wants and he has a community that backs him. The theme of the bazaar will also allow more creative opportunities which could be interesting.
Hey Reynad, the idea has already been done, it's called Slay the Spire, maybe you missed it when it cropped up recently.
Regardless, this game preview is really bad. Reynad gives a lot of sarcastic jokes, however it covers up some of the more important points, such as paying for additional classes and that he seriously expects people to believe that all classes will be balanced. Obviously, this is going to destroy the game pretty quickly due to one of two scenarios occurring:
1. Game balances all classes against all odds and knowledge from hundreds of other card games --> no one buys new classes and the game dies out from loss of revenue
2. Game has unbalanced classes --> everyone buys the strongest class and then the game grows stale in addition to numerous complaints until the whole thing dies out
If the game is exactly how he's trying to market it, I'm sure it'll be okay, the little bit of explanation sounds interesting. What he said about P2W vs. F2P is a bit weird though, I'm glad he's taking a personable stance on it but the video overall felt like it lacked a lot of definitive information. I'd be more interested in how the cards work, how you actually get stuff done, and how you can have some reliable control over how a "class" should operate.
The main concerns I currently have are that the presentation seems like he's describing an idea he had, that the art styles seem kinda random and inconsistent, and that he didn't explain the classes or cards at all. He exposed too much about the behind the scenes and not enough about the game itself, and that's a bad start before asking for $150k+.
twitch personality decides he is going to try out game design..
yeah, and learn the hard way that designing a game is not as easy as he thinks. i don't see how some random person, with no training or experience, or education about game design etc is gonna come up with something good. hopefully he is just overseeing everything, and leave the designing to the team, even then, does he have accounting skills, or managing skills?
art is looking very interesting though, so we'll see. i'm sure there will be enough rich backing from people who don't know what to do with their money. game itself seems like slay the spire + tabletop deck building games (which there are ALOT of) dominion, being one of the big ones. its a good idea for sure, since many people never played that type of game before. remember, HS also borrows many ideas from magic, but is successful cause its fun enough and simple, so in the end we will need to play it before judging.
Reynad is just not popular enough. He only averages about 5k on his stream. Now if Kripp decided to make something similar to Arena, then we may have something.
Do you mean the card game Reynad will abandon as soon as Blizzard finally offers him a job?
Even if they would offer him a job... He once said he can’t work for some ( as a employee) , guess he couldn’t handle if someone would be above him and he had to follow orders.

Translation: he's a bum who is trying to frame himself as a delicate genius.

Wait, shouldn't this have been announced April 1st? LOL

Wake me up when this happens.
Scam. Anyone who gives money to scams like this deserve to lose it.
Do you mean the card game Reynad will abandon as soon as Blizzard finally offers him a job?
more like 10% will go directly into the game where we take forever to finish it and apparently need more money for whatever reason
blablaba, seen it all before
I really want to play this game...
NO FACE! TRADE
