Havent heard of it until now, i read the initial description and i had to laught hard when i got to the Arena mode ... u get to choose between 3 classes and then make a series of choices to build a 30-card deck on the spot ... hm where did i see that one before i wonder :) I mean i love HS arena, so i would probably love ES:L too, but damn, cant they think of something original ?:P
The NDA was lifted today, so streaming and coverage has begun. I give this game my highest possible recommendation. I have quit Hearthstone for Legends - it of course has the benefit of existing post-Hearthstone, and it does the genre better on every level.
Got my invite about a week ago. The NDA got lifted yesterday so we might see people start streaming it on Twitch probably. It's really fun, but I don't know if it's just because of the novelty of a new CCG. Many, many similarities to HS, but the differences (Rune system, dual lane, "Enchantments/Artifacts" ala Magic TCG) are enough to make it a unique experience as well.
I encourage people to sign up for a beta invite on the official website, but if you're really interested try checking in the subreddit (/r/elderscrollslegends) as the devs are active there and it seems they've given out invites through some threads there as well.
I have to agree with the above. I’m really enjoying TES:L at the moment. I spent this weekend completing the story mode along with 3 ranked games and the solo arena (3-3). The gameplay differs so much from HS that it feels fresh but also familiar at the same time. Making decks seem more flexible and due to the smaller card pool (currently) a lot less limiting.
The amount of value card/gold/’dust’ you get from the story mode and various quests to make it much more inviting. I have only played for about 6 hours and I have around 900 ‘dust/gems’ that’s nearly enough for a legendary, I have still crafted some ‘staple’ cards for my ‘battlemage’ deck too.
I think I may play this (instead of HS) for the first week of the season (each season), as that my issue with HS at the moment. If people have a Beta Key or as soon as the beta opens, get into this. It’s a very strategic game but also fun.
C'mon if you say "Ye i have a lot of dust and cards with this new game" , it's just because is a new game! They want attract new players with this strategy
That's not really the case.
The fact is its a very accessable game. You gather a lot of useful cards/dust/coins by playing the story. The joy comes in going into ranked KNOWING you have a fairly functional deck with being demolished by Pay2Play decks.
Its much more strategy based than 'just having the right cards' which is exactly how hearthstone feels to me recently.

What do you mean "quit Hearthstone for Legends"? Is there some sort of legal contract that stops you from playing more than 1 game? lol
I found that game to be too similar to hs. I think hs is more pleasant to play but legends is a little less rng dependent. It is almost like playing the same game.
One game i found to be different is the ccg of runescape. Totally diferent mechanics, more fun than it seams at first sight. If you are looking a differeny ccg it is worth to try.
It's reached the point today where all games are clones with only a few differences to prevent a lawsuit from successfully being carried out.
That's fine, just don't you dare claim it's COMPLETELY DIFFERENT and TOTALLY UNINSPIRED BY X.
I don’t see being similar as a bad thing at all. Going too far out the box is opening yourself up to complete failure. Research Topic; Apple Newton.
To the point: It would be interesting to know what experience you’ve had with the game which makes you think this? Did you find the playstyle and deck types too similar? Was it the tutorial? How long did you play for?
Can you shed a little more light on your experience; what did you think of the Rune system? The Fact you could ‘over’-heal? The upgrading/evolution of cards as you gain levels? The Story Mode that unlocks a lot of powerful cards? The multi-‘class’ deck creation system?
A lot of people here (and on Reddit) are looking fairly favourably on this title, as am I due to it being familiar yet different enough. Honestly, you can’t just have ‘your hearthstone head on’ if you want to succeed in this competitively, it requires its own different kind of thinking.
Honestly, I’m super interested in what you have to say.

Not really, the developers just know that the HS modell is not very sufficient if you want to make sure that new players have a decent experience.
You will earn rewards through:
- The story (booster packs, single rares or better cards, decks, gold, arena tickets, soul gems)
- Leveling up (rare or better cards, gold, booster)
- Daily Quests (gold)
- versus games (15 to 40 golds and 1 rare or better card per 3 wins, sometimes even a booster)
-Season Rewards (got 3 epics + 100 gold + 200 soul gems last season for rank 2, 12 ranks in total and you will start the season on rank 5 e.g. when you were rank 2 last season)
The rewards are way better and it's easier to get the cards without spending a huge amount of money. Even the arena gives out better stuff (e.g. 150 gold entry and with a 5-3 you already got 2 booster packs 75 to 100 gold an epic card and 100 soul gems).
On top of that you get a more strategic and less casino focused gameplay.
Anyone else super excited by this game?

In Elder Scrolls: Legends, you have the opportunity to play Arena against the AI instead of people, if you'd prefer that. It's a lot of fun.
The rewards from leveling up and winning games and playing arena also make it truly possibly to be successful as a F2P player.

Signed up for the beta, hoping I get an email.
Glad this thread got bumped, completely forgot i'd even signed up for the Beta (2 weeks ago), turns out I received a key 6 days ago...
Lets see how this goes, I am a big lover of the elder scrolls series I'm excited.

SMOrcing from two separate lanes seems to be a good idea

No, I'm pretty sure that it's obvious that my post implied that it's a superior game, and I've moved on.
Obvously a rip of Hearthstone/magic gathering.
