For a guy who's claiming that the matchmaking in Brawl "punishes good players" this dude is clearly salty about how much he's losing Brawl. I think the MMR is not as high as he thinks it is.
Well we'll never know now will we, since it's secret for some reason yay
Lmao I think you need to shut your computer off for awhile and go read a book. Veteran players getting matched against newbies and vice versa sounds like a great idea (sarcasm font)

I'm amazed how many Hearthstone players think it's their right to stomp on noobs and people who haven't spent as much $$$ as them.
This is supposed to be a skill game people. If you don't have the skill then guess what, you're the one that deserves to lose.
That said, I don't think they need to use Tavern Brawl MMR in brawls where you get a random deck instead of building one. The randomness is already enough of an equalizer.
Ah this is why I am facing so many fancy decks right now in ladder...now I understand. I wondered already why I am playing against so many C'Thun decks, N'Zoth decks and hunters. It is because I am barely playing this game. Lol best possible thing you can do in this game to ladder is to never play and all of a sudden you crush your opponents because they don't even have a normal deck (and I am playing since season 1 + have all cards lol)
This guy has really cheered me up today. I wonder if he's off to beat the younger kids at football today or demonstrate his skill by stealing candy from a baby.

Babies are weak, if they can't protect their candy, they don't deserve to eat it.
This is fine when the Brawl is actually based on skill but when it's just stupid luck like this week then there's literally no point in trying. And since this is the case I guess going 150-91 and 150-110 in the Pick Two and Three Brawls might have been a mistake cuz it fucked me up forever. At least I'll have some good games when a good Braw comes back around but for now I'm mostly fucked because it's all 50/50.
MMR in casual modes is also okay for reasons other people stated. I'd rather have good games than just ruin some new players day all the time.
The spinner always says Worthy Opponent. This is ideal.
and yet, here I am, after all these years, still always hoping to get someone else on that stupid spinner. just at least once... :)
I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that back in beta it actually would rarely land on a different option. Might not be true, have no idea where I heard that from, but it would be cool if they still did. This is the kind of stuff Blizzard should be working on. Don't need any of that balancing stuff here.
I didn't know this, but if you're wondering why Brawl is suspiciously hard no matter how good you are, it's because Blizzard is cheating you.
"After the initial placement, player matchmaking is controlled by the player's success in Tavern Brawls, using a hidden MMR.[14]Tavern Brawl MMR is ongoing, and carries over from week to week.[15]"
Not only is it rigged in that this casual, for fun mode is actually like Ranked, but it carries from week to week, forever, apparently, making it worse than ladder.
Blizzard, once again, sucking more than imaginable at a simple task.
I have an Abysmal Arena Record , Something like 150-140 , but My Tavern Brawl record is impeccable - around 95-5 , so not sure if I have the same matchmaking issues you describe

rngesus, I wonder how high my mmr is... I always have a higher than 50% win rank in tavern brawl.
Hearthpwn sinks to a new low today. Can't these idiots be banned?

Just because you never win doesn't make it rigged. Gitgud.

If anyone is really bothered... Concede 100 games, and go and play with the kindergarten kids...

To OP:
For every tavern brawl you play, concede 2 of them afterwards. Boom, you'll play against crappy people all the time.
Now gitgud.

Just be happy about this when another co-op brawl comes around.
Where's your proof and why it would be a bad thing to be true?
Having more even matches is good for the players that aren't somewhere middle or top in overall playerbase in terms of skill.
Also, what it has to do with word "rigged" anyway?
