They did a Q&A recently and most of these ideas came up. They've been floating about for a while actually. It's not that there not aware of them, I think it's just that they are only investing so much in development. The key thing for them must be the 3 expansions every year and single player content. After that they probably only have limited time (without increasing their team size) so they have to pick what they do. I imagine that code to do some of these versus the pay off just means that they never get to the top of the list.
This is fun but it's hard playing with no removal. I thought about adding removal and going highlander to bring in reno but then I guess you lose a lot of the jade synergies.
Yeah i just played Kingsbane Rogue at rank 19. I'm having a good time playing my espionage death rattle Rogue. Congrats to the other player for beating me with their OP net deck :)
I like the card but one issue might be is that you generally discover cards that you want to play quite quickly - otherwise the cost of the discover is a large tempo loss. Might be tricky to do all this discovering while not getting beaten down too quickly.
A lot of people have said that the last expansion of the year is always the most powerful. But this is based on really small sample size - we've not been doing 3 proper expansions a year for very long. From the cards we've seen so far I'm not seeing anything that looks that different from the last 2 expansions. If it continues like this then I agree, come the next rotation we'll see a huge shake-up. It'll also be totally different from the last rotation which barely changed the meta.
Lol feel some pity though for any new players trying to get into wild if the power levels are being kept at a lower level :)
They have tried to push spell damage again so maybe it could appear in wild. But if you're wanting spell damage I guess you have less call for situational minions.
I liked the article - was backed up by some great data. I think it can feel like you see who you're playing and already feel like you've won or lost. I also think the major problem is that they didn't freshen it up with balance changes.
Even if the game seems fairly balanced, when they do some nerfs it just freshens everything up and folk start trying new decks. That hasn't happened this time so we're still playing the same decks that got refined several weeks ago. I think they should see balance changes as a chance to mix things up so it's disappointing that they never took the opportunity this time.
That's really up to individuals I guess. Its like having a puzzle book with the answers at the back. You can go to the back and just copy answers if that's what does it for you but to most folk (i hope) it's a pointless exercise.
While this card is powercreep on Evolved Kobold, I think in this case it's good powercreep because that card isn't played. If you have an effect that is clearly over-costed then I think it's ok to increase the power or decrease the cost to see if it starts making it into peoples decks.

Feel like this review was written by someone having a bad day. Good effort but I find the scoring way too harsh.

Kind of highlights how OP Bloodreaver Gul'dan is.

I'm struggling to think of any downside to this card. You can basically fit it into any deck and it'll give you amazing flexibility.
