Stop whining: Pogo Rouge, Bomb Warrior, Ressurect Priest will consistently beat control warrior if played right.
The real problem are the brainless aggro decks which are way too powerful. Even if you play a deck made to counter aggro you still only have 50/50 chance of winning.
I read the rogue part of VS and it seems to comprise Hench-Clan Thug . So I guess it is aggro rogue with Raiding Party and some pirates.
Ahhh Raiding Party. Yes, that makes more sense now. It's weird how that card has fallen out of the spotlight so much recently that it's half-forgotten. lol
Warrior with Dr. Boom, Mad Genius is powerful, but it's not broken and certainly not easy to play.
And thats where most people stopped reading. There is 0 netdecks that aren't "easy to play". It's exactly why they're netdecks. Decks that actually take thought and strategic planning are called meme decks because everyone plays braindead and/or highroll bullshit.
The worst metas have been (in no particular order):
- Undertaker Hunter
- Pirate Warrior
- Jade Druid
- Midrange Rexxar Hunter vs OTK Priest
- Frozen Throne Druidstone
- Machine Gun Priest
Warrior with Dr. Boom, Mad Genius is powerful, but it's not broken and certainly not easy to play. I run hunter and my win rate vs warrior is above 60% for the past two seasons. Yes, the rng can screw you, just like it can screw them. Yes, they have loads of board clears, just like the meta has loads of board floods.
The meta warrior decks aren't even the strongest I've seen. I have a buddy who runs a custom build that has gone 80% from rank 18-2 since he started playing in earnest in May. All his matchups are positive win rates. This is a deck that I've seen maybe 1-2 other times, so you're not even facing the best build, just the best known one.
If I can humiliate most warriors just by running midrange hunter, you can certainly find a way to push through to August, when we know the meta will shake up as it must when new expansions come out.
Best of luck!
Lol it’s the easiest deck to play other than Big Priest.
So, first of all stop giving the OP flack. He framed the issue correctly.
Control Warrior is not overpowered. It can, however, provide a frustrating play experience.
Unfortunately, I suspect you are going to have to hold on for another month. As Scorp alludes, Control Warrior is holding the meta in a delicate balance. If you were to materially nerf the hero card or something equally important, certain aggro decks will break over the rest of the meta and drastically reduce the number of viable options.
So, try to turn an eye towards the new set. The quest mechanic is going to produce some interesting value options. I imagine the dev team thinks that there will be new options to fight the control game with warrior, and hopefully they are correct.
I actually agree with the Kaladin (RIP) folks out there who say it is not a good answer to a problem to say, "wait a month!", but there are certain realities at play here. You may not like to play against warrior all that much, but I doubt you'd enjoy the resulting meta from a quick nerf either.

I always hated to play vs Warrior. Not because its op, but because the matches are no fun at all. even after I win, I want to close HS afterwards, because I feel bored.
You play a minion it gets removed, same goes for next turn and every turn after. You cant play more than 2 minions at every given time, so the boards stays clear all game long.
Thx to Dr.7 the Warrior never runs out of removals and the game either ends because he didnt draw Dr.Boom or you run out of threats.
I piloted Mechhunter to legend last season and my overall winrate is quiet good vs Warrior, but everytime I faced one I just wanted to concede...
Seriously, just change the effect to "Give Mechs in your hand rush". Its still very good, but not that opressive anymore! Omega Devastator is another topic and the Erernium Rover should just give either 1armor or be a 1/1/2 minion.
And yes, I know, nerfing all 3 cards would be pretty devastating and be too much.

You forgot Patron Warrior, which would top the list for a lot of people. Also, there was a very, VERY long stretch of Control Warrior with Justicar.

If it was too strong it would win the majority of matches. Having played control warrior I can honestly say that it has it's challenges. Warrior certainly does great against Rogue and Priest and warlock for the very few that are out there, but Control Shaman is a 50/50 chance depending on skill level of the person piloting the deck.
Warrior gets owned by Hunter and Mage decks out there now. Token druid all depends on cards the warrior draws. If we get the right ones we can control token druid. If we don't get the cards then own the board and it's a quick game. Murlocs are the same. If we have the cards it's an easy match. If we don't and they get enough murlocs out by turn 5 or 6 then Warrior is screwed. Secret Paladin is just a bad deck that most other decks should have no issue beating. Mech pally is a toss up. Depends on how well they play it.
Nothing wrong with the level of Warrior at all unless you are a rogue but that is your counter deck as all decks should have to keep the meta balanced. No one deck will win all matches.

Control Shaman beats both hunter and warrior but loses to mage boardflood with no scheme on 1. So i'd say the meta is balanced right now. If you all consider: The strongest deck right now is mech hunter... why is warrior triggering so many?
I always hated to play vs Warrior. Not because its op, but because the matches are no fun at all. even after I win, I want to close HS afterwards, because I feel bored.
THIS.
As OP and many said, we don't find warrior OP as it got his counters, which are mages, hunt, and Murloc too. It's just that it is not fun at all to play against it, and as quoted above, when I face a Control Warrior (Bomb Warrior are really fine to me) no matter if I win or I loss against them i just want to quit Hearthstone and that's what I'm doing most of the times. Fighting 2 control warrior in a row is just a plague.
So to me, it's pretty the same as Odd Warrior, make your play -> warrior reacting by removals , make your play -> Warrior reacting by removals etc etc. There is almost no interaction. That's the problem to me.
As Scorp alludes, Control Warrior is holding the meta in a delicate balance.
While I totally agree with this statement, Control Warrior should not be nerfed IMO, but with the new set coming in and the meta changes it involves, i'm afraid if they get too much support (as the COMMON Mummy that was revealed which is just a so powerful card) they'll broke the meta as Odd Warrior did. They already got a shitload of powerhouse cards that are inherently good without needing some preparation and some synergy to support them. So it make so deck so consistent and regular.
Just looks at either the win rate when drawn and when played. Almost every card is up to 60% WR. I'm not even sure if I've already seen that before. And THIS kind of cards make reacting decks not planning decks, and I think this is what give people playing against them the most frustration and saltyness.
Sooooooooooo it's kinda complicated. In my opinion a nerf IMO would be devastating, but no nerf could lead to a meta disaster in the future too, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Basically, Control warrior is strong in early game since it has many cards to maintain tempo and remove opponent minions. And the late game is absurd with Dr.Boom and Omega. In my opinion, the only way to win is hoping they have a bad draw...
Go wide? Brawl, Supercollider, Warpath Go tall? shield slam, Execute Want to maintain tempo? Militia commander, Dynomatic Late game? meet Dr. Doom and Omega
just use mech hunter or something with enough threat density to bait most removals, also there's no warrior deck that can fit all of that removal in a single deck without sacrificing damage.
The problem is that they can sacrifice damage since they have Dr.Doom, which can generate infinity value. That's why it is frustrating to play against CWs with good hand since they can basically remove a board every turn until they have Dr.Doom, making the situation worst and then the game easily run 20-30 minutes.
I know CW is beatable, but if they have a good hand, I cannot find the situation to beat them unless I play mech aggro. For example, I play freeze mage and I have the best hand ever. Got Pocket turn 4 and then I drop powerful minions every turn to keep pressuring. (Giants, Astromancer, Alexstrasza). However, they are being clear every turn until turn 10+.
Multiple big minions? --> I faced supercollider (which can be used three times) and brawl Single big minions? --> Big game hunters, Execute, Shield Slam, OMEGA
So, I need to play multiple big minions at least 5 turns to make their board removal runout. Or I need to play big minions 6 turns to make their removal runout... Until then, Dr.Doom come out very fresh and I have 5-6 big minions left to play. Then they even have more removal and more tempo with mech rush and OMEGA...
I am happiest with Hearthstone when Warrior is in the gutter.
Control Warrior metas are the worst. Shamanstone was made worse because Control Warrior was one of the only other viable decks. Last month I was trying to level up with Rogue, and I simply conceded as soon as I saw that Warrior was my opponent. Yesterday I won my first game against a Control Warrior while playing Token Druid. I won because he drew poorly (and played poorly tbh).
The only consolation is that not everyone is playing Warrior right now.
I always play at least up to rank 5 for the chest.
Not last month, and I guess also not this month. The meta is complete dogshit. Standard is full Control and Bomb Warriors. Fun thing is, the Control Warriors are even found in Casual and they mess up big sometimes. But you know what? It doesn't matter that much. They have nearly endless removal tools, they don't even need Dr. Boom on 7.
I started playing shortly after the beta ended and I gotta say, facing this disgusting type of Control Warrior with its 190238387 removal tools and 30+ min games are among the worst deck types I've ever faced in Hearthstone. It's so freaking boring and you know what he will be doing BUT IT DOESNT MATTER! >:(
If they keep adding strong removal tools to the Warrior class I guess I will take a break from this game, and I guess a lot of others will also do that or at least play less. I don't care about the win streak of Control Warrior, but facing it is just torture and I guess 99% of the playerbase also hates playing against this archetype right now.
Stop whining: Pogo Rouge, Bomb Warrior, Ressurect Priest will consistently beat control warrior if played right.

Ye, playing against warrior is a damn nightmare, Games last like 20-30 minutes and you got to count every single card and survive billion removals
I sympathize with OP. When Warrior is good, it's incredibly annoying to play against, but...
...Warrior sucked for a long stretch of time. It's there turn in the sun. Things will change.
