Da Undertakah reads "Battlecry: gain the deathrattle effects of 3 friendly minions that died this game". He is not a deathrattle minion so if he summons himself he will not retain the deathrattle since summoning a minion will put on the board just a normal copy of it, a simple 8/5 minion.
Now you are saying that this would change with "Copy" instead of gain. I'm sorry to tell you that it doesnt. It only works with faceless because he becomes an exact copy of the minion that it targetted. So when it gets resummoned it summons the other minion. Instead Da Undertakah would yust copy the deathrattle on itself but he will not become another minion. When resummoned it will just summon a basic Da Undertakah: a simple 8/5 Battlecry minion that won't activate its battlecry so it will not gain the deathrattle.
It's all a combination of basic Hs rules used in a particular way that may be misinterpreted.
I know it won't. Listen to what I'm saying. I'm offering a hypothetical. If the text of Da Undatakah read "Copy the deathrattle effects of three friendly minions that died this game" instead of what it actually says "gain...," then would it go infinite with Recurring Villain? It's not complicated: I think things change a lot if you replace the word "gain" in the text of Da Undatakah with the word "copy." Am I wrong?
I literally answered your question. What part of "It won't" do you not understand?
I guess I need to repeat your question in full when answering it, since you clearly have trouble with comprehension: "No, the Da Undatakah won't go infinite with Recurring Villain even if the text of Da Undatakah read 'Copy the Deathrattle effects of three friendly minions that died this game' instead of 'Gain the Deathrattle effects of three friendly minions that died this game'".
The comparison with Faceless Manipulator fails because Faceless Manipulator transforms himself into a copy of the minion, such that his identity changes to that new minion. So if Faceless Manipulator copies minion with an effect that resummons itself when it dies, the minion that is resummoned will be the minion that was copied (e.g. Recurring Villain), rather Faceless Manipulator itself.
On the other hand, Da Undatakah only gains/copies/whatever-you-want-to-call-it the deathrattle effect, but retains his identity as Da Undatakah. So, when Da Undatakah dies, he resummons a copy of Da Undatakah, NOT a copy of Recurring Villain. And since minions that are summoned instead of played don't trigger their Battlecry, the resummoned Da Undatakah will have no deathrattle effects.
Ok it's like how cube works, if you cube a cube with stuff inside the second cube just summons vanilla cubes. Its how the game works with minions that gain deathrattles via their battlecry
This is simply a targeted Undatakah effect EXCEPT that it says "gain a COPY of" instead of just "gain." It is still a battlecry, and it also does not transform the Raptor into another minion. What I am saying is that there is a non-keyworded and unexplained difference between "gain" and "gain a copy of" in these two cases, and with respect to deathrattle effects. It seems to me like a distinction without a difference.

Unearthed Raptor works the same way as Undatakah, if you kill it while it has the deathrattle of Recurring Villain and 4+ attack, it will summon an Unearthed Raptor without deathrattle.

If you understand the interaction, then you shouldn't repeatly state how it not works. Then people will stop explaining the correct interaction to you.
Yes, sometimes the wording in Hearthstone makes a distinction without a difference in mechanic. And sometimes they use the same wording and make a distinction nonetheless. In hearthstone, you can never be 100% sure that a card works a certain way before you did not test it on the board. It bugged me too, but I got used to it.

Because you target the battlecry it is more intuitive to use copy. Undatakah is random out of your deathrattle pool, so gain makes more sense.
If you want to make the original interaction work, remove the condition for the deathrattle?

Dude, I just explained to you why "gain" doesn't work and gave you 3 different wording cases that do work. Was it too long for you to read or what?
Also if you don't believe us about the raptor, it's not hard to go test it out yourself LUL
There comes a time in many discussions where sometimes it's best to accept that the other person is not going to accept your reasoning and let them believe what they will. Perhaps this is that time? :-)
This is not to say either side is right or wrong, of course; but it doesn't sound like there is going to be much changing of minds from this.
Da Undatakah works the way it is intended to. It may differ to similar cards such as those mentioned, but the general acceptance is the way it currently works. You could consider whether the wording is not quite right perhaps, but that is purely semantical rather than anything else. And it doesn't really change how the card works.
Lastly, (personal opinion) I don't see this as a bug, either.

Ok this has been explained too many times. The OP is trolling at this point .

Okay listen. I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS INTERACTION DOES NOT WORK. WHAT I AM ASKING IS WHAT WOULD HAVE TO BE CHANGED TO MAKE IT WORK.
Here is another card that has existed in HS:
Unearthed Raptor

Change the text from "Battlecry: ..." to just " At the end of your turn gain the Deathrattle effects of 3 friendly minions that died this game".

Abandon thread. Good day to everyone that took time out of their day to explain.

Da Undatakah would have to read "Deathrattle: Trigger the Deathrattle effects of 3 random friendly minions that died this game."
Ps. You're still a stubborn, obsessive pseudo-intellectual.
