I do wonder, if i am that can't really find an interesting deck to play. I did try to build a lot of unique decks, but everyone of them sucked. I feel like all the interesting cards (interesting in my point of view obviously) suck. I always had some decks i enjoyed, but somehow i struggle with that somehow.
Btw. Before you scream i am salty, i am not. I am just curious if the current decks seem interesting to you. I am also not saying that it sucks balance wise. The tempo rogue deck at least lets you do something :P
It's not the worst meta ever, but it is definitely in need of a shake up so some other decks can have a chance to shine. Rogue has polarized the meta too much. Hopefully the nerf bat comes down soon to shake things up.
I had the exact same thought recently. I have all the cards for any decent deck (and by that I mean with a winrate above 45%) and there is not a single one I would want to play. Repetitive.
The problem is the hero cards, some classes can survive without one like mage and rogue but priest and warlock are doomed because don't have a chance vs Boom or Hagatha in value game.
Even with Rogue being very overtuned, it's still a pretty good metagame. A lot of decks are ladder viable.
I think, with a few small tweaks we could be in a very good place.
I am not talking about how good or balanced it is, because in that aspect i find it quite acceptable. Rogue is dominant, but it is not a deck were you feel helpless, which i find refreshing. But the decks itself are rather dull. Not many interesting interactions or synergys you can put in your deck.
I mean, I always get bored with the standard meta within a month.
I would usually start alternating between standard and wild. Problem this time is that if I face another big priest I'm afraid I might uninstall the game on the spot.
yeah. i made legend the first month the expansion came out, since then the meta is too solved already and i quickly quit again.
mech mechanic is too boring as in theres no flavor to it somehow. there aren't even fun meme decks, guess that's also due to the fact that rogue destroys anything that doesn't heavily control it...
I actually found the meta to be extremely boring too. I was about to take a bit of a break, but honestly wild has saved the game for me. I know most people brush off posts like this, but it feels good to able to play with such a huge possibility of cards. I made my own discolock deck and have been having tons of fun on it.
This is the most difficulty I've had with homebrewing in standard in the past few years. I'm finding it really hard to make viable decks as many of my favourite archetypes for each class got majorly crippled in the rotation. Despite new cards to help them out, Big Warrior, Prelate Paladin, and Pogo Rogue are in a pretty weak place.
I've been playing this game since Black Rock Mountain was released, from time to time I always feel the same about the meta somehow and it isn't because the meta is unhealthy is more about the format and game seasons overall, they feel the same somehow, not only standard but wild too.
I really miss more ways to play, maybe a new format with dynamic contents, like if they rotate sets in and out weekly maybe monthly, or even heroes or specific cards alone, maybe pick some meme cards and give players a small bonus reward if they include them in their deck and play them. It's not a tavern brawl, is not a replacement for the formats we have, but something new that feels fresh with dynamic meta games always and rewarding deck creation... I don't know... something like that
Ehm, they make the deck for us. They make the meta, they make everything.
That people still find this game intersting is funny , they even took away all the skils. Decks are even made out of cards that needs to played togheter to work. You can see what cards fits togheter amile away.

Rogue is carried by their insane classic and basic set, and Conjurers Call is singlehandedly making mage relevant.

A lot of decks are viable if u learn how to get better luck.

I am enjoying the meta still :)
Yes, insanely boring. While I don't want to go back to the previous Meta, I loved the fact that each class had a place.
This Meta is Rogue, Warrior, Mage, with a sprinkle of Shaman and Druid.

Ftfy. Warlock barely hangs in there but Paladin and Priest are too weak. Some better control tools for them would be nice for the upcoming expansion.
Interrestlingly, the worst classes in standard are both powerful, popular and hated in Wild, so maybe it is all balanced after all??

Thank god, i was afraid that i am some kind of spoiled brat, that just can't be happy with what he gets. But it seems like i am not alone :D

You’re not alone. I’m losing interest to play ranked mode, slowly even Hearthstone as a whole.
it is the first expansion of the year, so the card pool is at its smallest. just wait until the next expansion and things will get more interesting.
Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
