I didn't start playing until a few weeks before Kobolds and Catacombs so I didn't have any old cards. I DE'd everything I did get pre-witchwood just to make enough cards for standard. For me to even think about wild now Blizzard would have to give me a wild set to play with as I would never invest more money just to craft old cards. For that reason once year of the dragon hits I'll DE all the cards that are not in standard anymore so I have a full set of standard cards. I think a lot of people that were not playing right from the start must do that too.
I dread to think how much money it would cost to create a decent wild collection. I wouldn't like to create just one deck.
Trust me, it will come a day when you'll regret that so much. Keep commons and rares at least, and just disenchant the epics and legendaries that are complete garbage (I'd say keep also the ones currently garbage, but with some sort of potential... An example is Hadronox, bad at first, then it became very powerful with cube and the spell that summons a beast).
Anyway, even tho lately I played mainly wild, I will try again to play standard and see which decks rise... Then if the meta it's still boring / awful I'll move to wild once again. But for some reason I'm very optimist about HS's future.
I don't think so. I mean its a choice between keeping a few wild cards but not enough to do anything with and possibly not having a full standard set which would be frustrating not being able to experiment with or I DE all the wild stuff and make sure I have all the cards for standard. I mean there were 8 expansions before I started playing, there's no way I could have caught up not whilst having a decent standard collection. I do buy packs but I'm not spending that kind of money just go play wild.
Help! I don't play wild, I started with karazhan adventure and I miss too many powerful cards to play wild, and I don't see the point to invest really a lot of money on it. So why should I keep cards that go in wild when I can dust for cards in standard? Are there any reason that will make me regret to dust all the cards?

Think about it:
98 commons x5 = 490 dust
72 rares x 20 = 1440 dust
Is it really worthed to dust an entire set just to get a legendary and (almost) an epic?
I understand what you mean; from another point of view, the cards are being untouched for all their wild period. And don't forget about epics and legendaries, more dust for sure.

Ok.
I think Hearthstone is pretty expensive for one game. I buy every pre-expansion plus several card packs plus any special deals in between just to keep up with standard. I am not going to spend even more money to start collecting old cards so how would I ever be able to get a wild collection? I'm already too far behind, even if I started from now I am several years behind. Spending my gold isn't an option as you cannot buy old packs in game and my dust is used to create cards I need in standard so there really isn't any options open to me other than spending more money (which I am not going to do).
Therefore wild isn't an option to me and to be honest as time goes on less and less people will be able to justify wild as an option. It's hard enough keeping up with the standard cards let alone going for wild too.
So to answer your question, yes it is worth it. That's 98 commons and 72 rares I will never use again. If Blizzard made wild a bit more wallet friendly it might be something that interests me but they don't. If they had the option to buy whole complete sets or something like that I would probably go for it.
Literally, the only time I've played Standard during the year of the Raven was for the launch of Witchwood to get my 10 Standard-Wins to get my Lunara. After that I switched right back to Wild. I hope for the year of the Dragon I won't have to play Standard to get the new Hero... (considering we get one like the last 2 years)
So yes, I will continue to play Wild after the rotation.

When the new expansion hits you'll be able to reroll those pesky 'legendary' quests that make you standard. :P

And how do I get my hero then? :P
But yeah, those legendary quests really were the biggest eyesore. Good thing Blizzard addressed those. X'D
I'm not a regular Wild player and the rotation doesn't really worry me (enough gold and dust already). Still I was unsure why I didn't play wild.
Now the reason I'm gonna take more interest in playing wild is the nerfs of the supporting cards (Happened with Shudderwock and with Kingsbane, 2 Cards i happened to open golden versions of). I feel I've been robbed by these nerfs: my golden legendaries have been nerfed to the ground and I only could get my money back for some "basic" cards...
I'm not gonna disenchant these golden Legendaries just yet as it's quite easy to get them nice decks in Wild so Blizzard made me rethink my position towards wild because I just wanna be able to have fun with some cards I happened to get in Gold...
Ok some might consider these cards as being cancerous. Too bad Blizzard didn't think so... They thought the cancer was their supporting cards... A good enough reason to play wild? Definitely not all the time but as a casual player loving to switch decks and encounter different decks, it might well prove the way to go...
I'm disenchanting all the old cards and not looking back. I think I despise the Year of the Mammoth cards more than any other rotation. It was... interesting to see such a pushed power level, but I'm excited to see what the new Standard has to offer with such a drop in card quality. Lord Jaraxxus, Grommash Hellscream, hard-running Tirion Fordring, how I've missed thee...

Both Grommash and Tirion are still being played right now in meta decks though?
Last 2 seasons i played almost only wild and its a lot of fun. In the start of the expansion i usually play standard, since i feel that in wild i am having a hard time with so many cards and new cards. Once the standard meta gets boring with only frontpage netdecks i switch again to wild.
By then i already know and posses most cards and i can be creative:)
One thing i realized this season when i started to track my gaems is, that also in wild it gets more boring the further you get to the front. Ofc this makes sense. Anyway...i never saw it as a stat. I had a blast with my Renounce Warlock Deck from ranks 20-13 in wild...i met all classes between 9%-17% (except poor warrior 3%). Now that im at rank 10 i have 42% games against priest ...its not so exciting anymore.
Im f2p. Never gonna be able to play wild. At least im only gonna get to rank 20. In standard im able to rank legendary from time to time
Please look at current top tier decks in Wild, count the dust cost, and think again.
I am a F2P as well, and Wild is my main mode. And i am not even a consistent farmer.
FYI, up to this rotation, the dust value of Wild cards that are in meta decks is very low, mostly commons and rares.
You may not like Wild, but the dust cost is not a reason, for it is actually an upside for that mode, not a downside: the cards you craft never lose their value in Wild.
No way. I have enough rng fiesta in standard, in wild its like 10 times higher.
Best card in HS? Mastercard.

That's an interesting point. To be honest I hadn't thought that people might leave (or significantly reduce their time played in) Wild after rotation.
Just wondering, but what is this comment in response to? I'm not sure who's disagreeing that Genn and Baku have had a significant impact on Wild.
Off topic, but why do some people write "Standart" rather than "Standard"? I see it fairly often.
As for the OP question, I play standard and wild pretty equally.
I enjoy.

Non-native English speakers. In many languages (including my own) it is standart
